High Resolution monitor and Adobe Photoshop CC

I am in the process of moving from a PC to an iMac. Although it has been a challenge, I am finally to the place where I think I may actually be able to create digital art again someday! LOL BUT....

A HUGE problem I have encountered is that I now have 2 high-res 27" monitors, and use Photoshop CC 2017. The tool bar and options bar are so tiny you could almost miss seeing them! On a Mac, there is no solution to this. (I think there is on a PC.) I just spent an hour on the Adobe help line and filling out a form for my "idea" to fix this problem. I have always had a love-hate relationship with Adobe. Love what their products can do, HATE their arrogance. The help person actually told me that this issue is "by design!!!!!" REALLY????? They won't admit when they have a flaw. The helper's suggestion was that I lower the resolution of my monitor!!!! Seriously! Now why would someone who works with photos and digital art want to step backward to a lower resolution?

SO! Just a warning to you Mac users. Before you get a high-res monitor, be prepared to deal with Tiny World tool bar and option bar.

I know. This is a First World Whine. But really. I just spend hundreds of dollars to make my digital life better, and the one program I use 95% of the time is worse. sigh.

LATER: Wow. Someone from Adobe wrote me an email and the problem appears to be fixed! He asked,
If you go to System Preferences > Displays what do you have the scaling set to? So THAT's where I needed to go, and why didn't the helper from my previous chat know that? I just set the scaling bigger, and voila, my tools and options are the correct size. It pays to make noise! I am going to leave this whole thing posted in case others run into the problem.

Even LATER: Not such a great solution after all. All this does is downscale the resolution. It is still a major flaw by Adobe, and I sure hope they will address it soon.

Yes - In the newest OS, the resolution is now called scaling. It's pretty annoying as you don't get nearly the options that you have. I also discovered that my new personal computer - I'm assuming because of the High Resolution screen - is unable to work with our older school projectors. It's definitely annoying!

I hope they get something figured out soon for your toolbars!
