Have you already decorated your house for Christmas?

I already see Christmas decorations and a Christmas tree in various living rooms.
In Belgium, it is a tradition that Santa Claus comes first with presents for the children. I myself only put up the Christmas tree after December 6.
What about in your country, when is the Christmas tree put up?

I have no idea about the country as its so varied, but I dont put the tree up until 12-15 and its down by 1-3 because of birthdays. I read an article way way long ago that if you have a holiday baby try to keep their birthday separate and special. So we dont decorate until after the December birthday and we take it down before the January birthday. I also forbid anyone from "combo" gifts. They could buy two small gifts just as easily. If they wanted to do a big gift then there better be another as well :giggle4: Thankfully because we never decorated for Christmas before the birthday, it helped everyone understand there are two celebrations, now three and they dont get combined ever. So just know 12-15 will be crazy decorating at my house.

At our house I'm starting tomorrow, November 11, Veterans Day in honor of my Pops. The flag comes down in the garden for winter and Christmas goes up. It takes me 3 days & I want to enjoy it as long as possible.

I love decorating for Christmas but I wait until Thanksgiving is over. That's our only American holiday and I love it, too. I normally wait until Dec. 1st to start my Christmas decorating.

First Sinterklaas and then I start with decorations for Christmas ... The Christmas decorations go back in the closet after Epiphany ...

Not yet... we usually start December 1 - of the weekend closest to it... November is too early, I think, though we have already started planning the festivities and Christmas shopping is in full swing.

Just a few more weeks and then it will be time!

We also have birthdays in the first week of January, and we take down our Christmas tree before that.

We usually decorate after Thanksgiving too. I hope my family gets into more holiday spirit than we did for Halloween which felt more of a chore than anything. I do like the lights and tree and the yummy scented candles.

No, not yet! It never hits the same in summer I have to say. Christmas SHOULD be in winter ;-) My youngest is going to be home for a day before we head with her to my parents for actual Christmas and then we go away. So I could decorate for her (because she always loved Christmas) but then the home exchange people who will be in our house while we are away will have to live with Christmas decorations until mid-Jan
