Happy Pi Day!

Happy Pi Day! I guess people outside of the US don't celebrate that since today would be written 14.3 instead of 3.14. But any way you slice it (ha! bad pun!), it is a good day to eat pie.



What is your favorite kind of pie? I am a big fan of apple pie, pecan pie, and chocolate cream pie. Pumpkin and sweet potato pies are also good. Whatever kind of pie I eat, it is always better with some fresh whipped cream on top.

Right !here in France we are the 14.3 and i did'nt know that "YOU" celebrate a PI DAY .... so i learned something today !
I googled and found a PI-Pie ...:cheer2:

It's 14-3 here too, but any excuse to eat pie is a good one!
I love anything chocolate, nougat, creamcheese, cheesecake kind of pie but would not say no to a fruit pie either!!
or a homemade applepie!

I just googled it too, it says it is about eating pie

and discussing the # pi, so,
does anyone know more than the 2 numbers after the 3. ??

That's a great layout, Jean! I first learned of Pi Day back when my kids were in school and their math teachers would celebrate it. I don't remember it being a "thing" back when I was in school! It is a rather magical, mystical number, isn't it?
As far as pie goes, I like anything except coconut. I once made a green tomato pie with some leftovers from my garden. It had raisins in it, which is basically what saved it for me, lol!

I love apple pie ...

but no pi/pie day for me yesterday .. I spent my day with my two grandchildren ... both to small to know pi day and both sick

One of our math teachers bakes pancakes for her students with PI day ... the sugar is sprinkled with a PI mold

That's a hard question! Pecan pie is probably my favorite, but I love apple and lemon meringue and cherry and . . . .

Anything with a crust is my favorite pie. haha
My mom would always make me a coconut cream pie which I loved so much. I wish she were still here, I'd ask for one today (even though I'm a few days late responding.)
