Halloween Movies

I'm not so fond of scary movies. Not because I find them too scary, but I just don't like all the screaming girls, and the enormous amount of blood that always seems to play a big role in them. Also I think zombies are rather stupid :oops: .
I have seen quite a lot of scary movies though, because my kids like them. I've seen The Shining, Us, Midsommar, Carrie, Bird Box and more.
Some of them I even liked!

How do you feel about horror movies? Can you give me some tips on what to watch this Halloween?

I'm not a huge fan of horror movies but for some reason, I was really in to the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise in the 80s.

I am mixed - I like spooky stuff but not lots of gore or jump scares. Although I am fine with The Walking Dead which is a lot of gore.

I **loved** The Haunting of Hill House. That was super spooky. Not a movie but a series, but still in the same genre. Same with The Shining- creepy and spooky more than shock and gore.

@scribler I don't think you can be a child of the 80s without being a Freddy K fan ;)

I'll add The Haunting of Hill House to my list :)

I don't like scary movies at ALL. I like spooky, but not gory.

I stayed away from them until my husband started getting me to watch the less gory ones. I don't see the point in unrestrained blood and gore. I would rather watch a good thriller that makes you think.
