Oh! forgot about the about.com Frugal Living newsletter- I get that one too (thx Merkee for making me think of it!) that is always a good one

Never rent from Red Box w/o looking for a code first- you can usually find one and get the movie for free.

I use a lot of "green" cleaning supplies- borax, white vinegar- way cheaper than the chemical stuff.

Unplug everything unnecessary or use power strips to keep the electricity bill down.

You know I'll be back with more as I think of them :)

This is wonderful... I also use a lot of Green products and Vinegar can do some Magic and can clean & disinfect so many things!!!

I found out this one a couple of weeks ago... My son got some pine tree pitch on one of my favorite fuzzy blankets (yes I have a blankie LOL) I found out that you can just rub plain butter on the pitch and it literally dissinegrates the pitch away! Just wash and it's all gone :)

That's cool!!! Thank you for sharing this one, we live amongst bunches of pine trees :).
 
I'm glad you like it Dawn... I was stressed out as pitch is a hard one to get out... I didn't want to ruin my new blanket so I did some searching on the internet... when I saw this one post on Butter I was like "no way!" then I tried it and was shocked that it actually worked :) We have like 3 pine trees on our property and the boys are constantly getting into it! I also used it on their feet!! LOL!

LOL, that's good to know, when we had our gigantic ice storm last winter and had to clean up after we all got covered in the stuff. It was a booger to get rid of...I never did get our clothes free of it, luckily they were all old and tattered anyway LOL. At least now I'll know what to do.
