How do you keep track of your kits? Yes, I have purchased a kit I already had. How do you eliminate this from happening.

I think all stores have that warning about you've bought it before? But I guess this coukd happen, since there are designers who sell in more than one store?

I sort my kits by store and then by designer. I think this has helped me from buying something more than once. Or maybe I just haven't noticed yet.

Life would be so much easier if the designers just could stick to one store! :D

Here? It SHOULD tell you if you've already purchased it. Maybe not - if you've only purchased "part" of it.
it wasn't the store here but another store. When I got the link to download I noticed I already downloaded this kit before. Luckily it was only $1 but so frustrating.

yes I sort by store and then by designer but still I managed to download a kit twice. I didn't realize it until my computer told me after I already paid for the kit. Luckily it was only $1 but don't want it to happen again.

I like to double check by going into my chrome downloads and just searching the file name. One particular store I used to buy at a lot didn't show what I had purchased before so I made sure to always check just in case.

Honestly... I tend to remember the previews/colors/elements... something... so if I get a feeling something looks familiar - I check first. If it's a desginer I love - I ALWAYS check, if it's a designer I don't know - I check too, just in case I forgot... it's easier with kits than with templates - those often look similar... but no, never happened to me... previews do jog my memory. And yes, I have more than 300 GB of stuff... It's becoming a little messy with all the recent CT work because I don't spend as much time on a kit as I used to, though...

Easy enough for me- I only shop here nowadays LOL
Like most of you said, I used to have separate folders for the different stores so it was easy enough to look through them to double-check. I love that this shop has the feature that warns you if you already purchased it. I am glad that it was only $1 that you lost!

I just double check the designer folder I keep. I don't worry about what store. I just check for the name of the kit on my " link spreadsheet" which I keep in each designer folder. Really easy to run down the list which is divided by year/date of purchase.

I just double check my stash as well. I don't organize by store, but I do organize by designer so it's quick enough to do. Glad it was only $1!

Like, Kythe, I have a spreadsheet that I check before I purchase. I hate to admit it but I have many TBs of stuff and need to clean out my folders. Some of the kits that were wonderful when I got them 10 years ago and more I will never use because they are not the quality or style I use today.
