Do you wear makeup?

I used to wear makeup when i was younger, not much of it (except as a teen , wore way too much then) but sometime in my late 30s i stopped wearing it day to day. I may put a little on if I am going out somewhere and feel I look tired or that I might scare someone, lol, but mostly I go without. Course I am a SAHM too, so I don't have to get gussied up for work.

No, I don't. Mainly because I got tired of taking it off every evening. I used to when I was younger, but I quit sometime around 25.

really never did wear makeup. some powdered blush occasionally. i was a hippie in my youth, and now that i'm old, i avoid it. nothing is scarier than an old lady with red lipstick and lots of blue eyeshadow!

always chatty at the O!!
I've never been a makeup-er. A little in HS but even then not much. I have some and if I am going out of have a special event but I'd say only a few times a year. I feel like I always have to buy something when I need to wear it because something has gone bad. I should probably buy new mascara every time I wear it. LOL!!

I used to not even walk out the door to get the mail when I was a teen without full make up. Now.... meh! I won't go anywhere where I am "seen" but if its just work (house cleaning jobs) or the bus stop or stuff like that-- not at all. In fact, I was just thinking to myself if I should pout any on when I go out to pick my son up from his GF's house in a few minutes LOL

Only when I go out (not just to the store). I do put on lipgloss regularly when I leave the house.

You're not alone, Trudy ... I wear it every [work] day too ... I'm pale enough as it is & without a bit of blusher, I look like a ghost!

Mmm ... this is a very interesting thread and reading everything here is very interesting as well!!
My country is a tropical island and I have to use at least UV protection whenever I am outside. And since I am dory enough to forget things and I am so pale, ... I put the base mineral water, UV protection, powder ... a little bit blush on and lip gloss - daily.
When there's special occassion, since I have Asian eyes, so I have to put eyeliner and mascara to make them look gorgeous *wink wink*

I wear base and lip gloss to work. However, I never retouch and so it is all off by the end of the day. Don't know why I bother...

Snap - me too!

The only make up I still have was bought when I was about 17 - I'm nearly 45 now. :hurt: Even my make up obsessed 11 yr has rejected my stuff out of hand!

Ok. I am a bit opposite of a lot of people. I wore some make up in high school. Very little in college and early teaching days. Then one time, I lost some weight and started wearing make up to school and people started complimenting me. I realized my five minute routine of foundation powder, eyeliner, and eye shadow made a difference. I never wear mascara...runs and bleeds so bad on me. I don't retouch my powder unless I'm at a special event. I don't really usually need to retouch my eyes. No lip stick because A) it wears off and B) I use Vaseline Lip stuff constantly which gives them a clear shine all the time.

As I was putting my eyeliner on before church yesterday and thinking about this thread, I remembered this crazy lady who worked with me for several years. She got eyeliner tattooed on!!!! I can't imagine how that felt! Of course, I'm fairly certain she would have self-medicated, knowing her. Crazy.

I have to add in here, that I looove make-up. Cait and I could stare at the little bottles and jars and testing stuff out for hours. I used to sell Avon and Mary Kay (not at the same time LOL) and I adore trying new stuff and new techniques.

I just don't have the "reasons" to wear make-up often and when I do have somewhere to go, I stick to my tried and true and very outdated look. Cait will do my make-up for me sometimes and she is really good at it.

Sara- I thought about getting eyeliner tattooed a long time ago then freaked out-- I don't like anyone touching my eyes. I *would* get my eyelashes dyed if it lasted long enough and it was free *wink*
