Do You Make Scrap Goals?

I made myself a scrap goal for this year, and so far, I think I'm doing so so on it. I wanted to make my layouts more color filled and use more color in my background papers. I usually grab neutral beige, white, ecru, etc... backgrounds and they're pretty much always plain with texture. I have a really hard time using patterned backgrounds, so that was another goal. I'm doing abysmal with that one!

I also wanted to get better at blending, and I'm pretty happy with a few of my blended layouts so far!

I just took a look at the past two months, and I see progress and more color. Yay me!

What goals did you make, and how are you doing with them?

No, I don't plan my scrapping at all, maybe 2-3 layouts forward. I really need to go with my feelings. I do a monthly page on the 7th every month, since a couple of months ago, I guess tha could count as a goal to keep up with that.

I am another one that doesn't plan ahead, wish I could though! lol! When I go to print an album I like to have 'similar' layouts next to each other, like in the same color tones etc, and more often than not I end up with a couple of layouts that I can't match up!!!! LOL!!!! My scrapping style is all over the place, one minute I am all blendy and artsy and the next I am clean and simple....... so yeah, I am more of a scrap what I am feeling right now sort of gal. :)

I have all kinds of goals and then I become a squirrel. At this moment, I have layouts tripping over themselves in my brain.... I wish I were an octopus today.

No real goals, what I do want to do for myself is make an album of my nature photos. The 2021 isn't quite ready yet...

Ditto this! When I print it's random time periods & products & styles all paired together but with a 'similar' vibe. I'm way behind on printing & nearly have enough pages for another batch again.

And yeah....I don't think I have a STYLE. I like to think of it as scrapping ADD

I don't make scrap goals. I do make a few photo books every year, so I have to factor that in.

You know, that might help me to keep my Project 52 going strong. I just get to it "whenever"...a set day might help!

That is so me. I have so. many pages I want to print up, but there is no rhyme or reason and they will just look like a jumble of nothing matching!

Oh that sounds beautiful! I live in the desert and suburbia desert so we don't have a great variety of nature to take. If I hiked up into the mountains or went to some of the parks I might though...hmmm

I would love to make photo books. I just DON'T. I don't know why. I guess it's because I scrap so many styles they just don't jell.

You'd be surprised at how things jell together if you just focus on paring pages together with similar colors & stuff. If the whole book is like this it really does come together!

Plan? Ha I have a hard enough time planning the page I happen to be working on. I just let the flow go and often end up with something far from, and far better than, what was in my head initially.

No goals as far as technique but I always have goals of participating in more challenges around scrap town. *sighs* just not enough time in the day !

My goals are more related to the number of layouts that I scrap rather than the style. I have one project that I want to complete this year. ABC's of 2022. So far I have "C". I need to get going!
