Daily O's Wknd Edit. Feb 6-7

So we wake up a bit ago and guess what?
IT'S SNOWING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go figure....it hasn't stopped since it started in the night Thurs night. I think we are up to 9"...will have to watch the news to see what they say.

Coffee is brewing and it smells fabuluous!!! I did not sleep well last night, so I NEED NEED NEED some coffee (which have you guys seen Leiko's new kit http://www.oscraps.com/shop/product.php?productid=23947 ? it is fab...I made two pages yesterday)

Okay...I will be back in a bit to check in with who pops in today....

Elisa...JUST FOR YOU: WOOT GO INDIANA!!! My team (Green Bay) sucked this year, and My MAN...Favre...choked in the last game!! It was a good game, but he was not at the top of his game..he should have been there!!

Laurie....yay for getting caught up on work!! and glad you had fun at the zoo, but ashame they are OVERBOARD on the "environmental" issues. I love the zoo. We take the kids every year. We were still taking our kids when they were teens if they would go!!

morning all - LindaW- I have had my coffee, and I'm downloading the coffee kit-not caught up on work yet, but with my trusty timer I will work for 30 min and play for 30 min. We have snow too- I personally love it because no place to go drifted in, just dh and I. My puter and craft area are in the basement and my small block windows are nearly covered with snow- great change from yesterday!

Did I tell you guys yesterday that my dog leaped off the top of the hot tub to chase something- the hot tub is built into the deck. I was sure he would not be walking today, he has had problems with stiffness in his hips before- but he is up and moving- so no trying to carry the 100 pound dog out through the drifts!

Stay warm everyone- or better yet stay warm and fill the gallery with great layouts- maybe I need to go buy another snow kit!

They blew our forecast too Chris - we were supposed to get 4-7 but only an inch or two. It's snowing now though.....If the wind blows we're in trouble! The snow piles on either side of the driveway (1/2 mile long) are as high as my truck!
Gearing up for the superbowl here. I wore my Peyton Mannin jersey to school yesterday Mr. Wonderful will be cheering for the Saints~ so it may be an interesting game here
Laurie - glad you get a chance to get caught up. Me too, I brought home every computer I have so I will hopefully be productive and not just get sucked into twitter and facebook
Sally - thanks for the invite to your superbowl party - wish I could be there! Thing 1 is in Fort Worth for a national meat judging contest - maybe she'll swing by She's a heck of a lot closer than I am

Happy Saturday Guys!

*eye roll* If you could have heard all of the news drama about the snow yesterday....
And we got nothing LOL

I wish that were the case here.

First off....Yesterday I went and got our lunch around 11 and it was just starting to snow. Then it gets to be 3:00 and I decided I needed to leave early if I thought I'd even have a chance in driving in it with my little Ford Escort, (my car was covered by then)... Well.. I'm driving along just fine, a few little rough spots, but nothing unmanageable. Then I'm less than a mile south of my house, (so I'm just south of my grandma's), when my car decides NOT to make it up the hill and decides to just spin it's wheels in the middle of the road. I could reverse a bit, but any forward progress I would spin and drift towards the ditch. So I put it in park & my blinkers on & wait for my dad to come help me out. Then the school bus drives around me, (how embarrassing!) and a couple other cars make it just fine...eventually my dad gets there, and my cousin from down the road, and then hook a chain up to it & I get home! Woot!

Flash to today. We probably got the foot they called for and since I live out in the country the roads weren't clear. I road into town with my dad hitting drifts and bouncing along the road in my brother's borrowed truck with 4wheeldrive. And the reason I came to town instead of just staying home...WORK!

I leave to photograph a wedding in 3 hrs or so...and it is in a city near here that is EVEN MORE in the country.

And I think I have to drive it myself, (at least in the borrowed truck this time). And then drive back here for the reception.

I'm just not looking forward to this at all.

I'm hoping for at least a pretty backdrop for some pretty wedding pictures though!


and this is my stress today! (wish me luck!!!)

hey girlies!! quick Hi from me today...went to a ladies' friendship brunch at my mom's church this morning!! life changing!! really wonderful speaker - a potter...she was incredible with an amazing testimony.

now we are off to my dear friend, megan's daughter's birthday party...then tonight it's back home to clean for our Annual Superbowl party!! yipeee!! (lindaP soo glad you are thinking of coming!! heehee!!! ) i love facebook!!

I also have a gob of work to do on the puter tonight since I won't get much of a chance tomorrow because of all of our partying!! And if it makes anyone feel better, Mr Gorgeous and I are on opposite sides this year...it happens occassionally...it'll be loud here tomorrow. My sil is from New Orleans and my children are ALL STAUNCH Peyton fans! so like I said, it'll be loud. Cora and I finished our shirts. I ironed an 18 (Peyton Manning) on the back and a little football on the front of a white girlie tshirt I had, and we bought cora a baseball jersey which she painted a 44 on it (Dallas Clark). It's exciting!! LOL!!

Quick note from me...in between snow fights and hot cocoa!!

We are buried!!!! Buried in snow!!!!!!!!!! *ROTFL* It's been snowing since early yesterday and it is going to continue until 7pm tonight!! So far we have 22"-24" They are predicting 6 more! This is the most snow we have had in over 10 years Chris I can't believe how close we are and you have nothing!! I heard up around New York they didn't get anything either! Wow...I would definitely share

Elisa- hope the wedding shoot went well and that you stayed on the road. I live on a state road and it was not plowed until 4pm- I watched cars get stuck in the drift across the road at the end of my drive 4 or 5 times today. it was supposed to be necessary travel only

The sun is shining brightly and it is totally blinding outside with all that snow on the ground!! It finally stopped around 2 yesterday...the sun peeked out a tiny bit for about an hour...so we are good until the next batch comes Tuesday. Yep...more snow coming our way!! I got the actual numbers from the paper this morning. We are at 42" for the year and total for the previous 5 years combined was 38".

We ventured out to Walmart about 3 yesterday. There were not too many people out, but the state has really done a great job this storm on getting those roads cleaned...I was surprised. After that huge snow in Dec..everyone was blasting them for the poor clean up efforts and all the accidents.

We are still discussing where we want to go on our small weekend trip in a couple of weeks. No decisions yet. This may be one of those trips where we are deciding about the time we get in the car.

Okay, I am going to have another cinnamon bun...that's what we have for breakfast this morning...YUM!! Have one with me!!

Morning Linda- no bun for me- dh cooked breakfast. We did not get a good cleanup yesterday- live on a state route and it did not get plowed until 4:30 pm, then shortly after that a tractor trailor tried to turn onto a back road just down the road from us and got stuck- I took some pics of it as the farm equipment pulled it out! My excitement for the day. I piddled all day yesterday and now must get to work on getting things done. Hope everyone has great days-

Good morning ladies! We didn't get any snow yesterday. However, they told us to expect snow to begin tonight at about 6 p.m. They were wrong...it's been snowing since about 8 a.m. It's very light now...but I don't expect that to continue. :-( Seriously tired of the snow...and now a little bit gun shy...what with the big fall on the ice and the car accident. Oh well...can't do a thing about it.

I'm feeling good today...no tailbone pain, no cold, no nothing! So, I guess if we need to do shoveling, it's my turn. Poor Brian's back went out and he has had 3 straight days at the chiro.

I've been working on a Jessica Sprague class for tablets. I'm trying to force myself to use it! I'm going to browse the gallery...and I'll be back later.
