hi, Trudy!! where is everyone? i guess sleeping in or yard work. it's that time of year. i've been outside for a few hours already with my shovel and wheelbarrow, moving stuff around. so far, it's a sunny, gorgeous day! hope you see some sun today, too.

Hubby and i are going into the city to see a play later and meet up with friends for dinner. should be interesting. i'll probably fall asleep during the play....

have an excellent Saturday, O-zies! :becky:

Hi Ladies-- moving awfully slow today. I was able to sleep in a bit- 7 am ;) But I am in the midst of horrific lyme flare. I just got back from dropping cait off a her friend's house to head down to the concert. She even asked me if I was all right- which is a lot since her mind is def on all of her bands. heh.

I am going to take it as easy as I can today. Not much else I can do.
Just ride this out.... *sighs* I am really not good at this. In case you were wondering. LOL

Hugs to all!!!

Good luck Trudy with the yard work, I hope the weather is good to do that!

Have fun at the play and dinner Phylis!

a big hug back to you Chris, I hope you feel better soon and you can take it very easy today!

I've slept little again last night, but I took a long long nap on the couch (3 hours) while Ben, Luc and Nik were really nice, watched a movie and played without fighting and waking me up :). Wes was at daycare untill 2 hours ago, now it's time to eat, luckily I made way to much yesterday so we have enough for today too.

Hi my dear o-fam. I am feeling a bit better today. Thank goodness, becasue I start my Tindamx abx today for a week which always makes me feel horrible. I was really hoping that after such a yucky winter, that I would have been feeling better this spring, but no such luck, eh? And bummer- we didn't win the Powerball so I have to still work.

However- I think I had a better day yesterday than my 2 kids. Scott texted me in the morning that he had been up most of the night throwing up. He was down at his girlfriend's house and they had gone to the carnival. He thinks after eating healthy/vegetarian food for the last few months, gorging on funnel cakes and deep-fried oreos was not a good thing for his stomach. Go figure.:/
He was better by the afternoon thank goodness and was going to some dance competition at her HS at night.

Caitlyn and I texted quite a bit throughout the day. She was having a really bad run of luck down at the concert. Her period came very early and unexpectedly and she had nothing with her and no change and was MAD!!! Then it started to rain (also unexpectedly). Then the 2 bands she most wanted to see had their schedules changed and were playing at the same time. (there were 5 stages going). To end the night, we got a phone call at 11pm from the paramedics there. She had gotten elbowed in the face and ended up with a bloody nose. They had to call and speak to a parent, since she is a minor, in order to waive a trip to the hospital. Poor kid! But she seemed to be having a good time anyway, said she was treated and back in the crowd right after that, met two band guys from We Came as Romans, and said that she will give me all of the musical details when she comes home today.:)

Its all yucky and rainy here today so it is going to be another low-key day here.
Hope that all of you have a great day!

xoxo

Trudy-- you are a good wife!

Angela-- awesome job of your kids to let you rest!!

Phyllis- we never got the sun here yesterday. It looked like the clouds would burn off then it just drizzled all day. Good to hear you had a good day!

good morning - It is yucky cloudy raining cool spring day. My son was going to come down today and we were going to do yard work but alas the weather sucks to told him to stay home and enjoy the day off. Got in a walk yesterday even though it was spitting off and on. Got scrapping page done. And got caught up on my sleep. Hockey is fun to watch and more games today. While watching the games I was struck with a moral question. While watching a game between the Sharks and Kings there was a penalty called against the Sharks. I thought the puck went off the Kings player before going out of bounds but from where the ref stood it was hard to tell. Of course the Kings player was not going to tell the ref if it had gone off him. I am wondering as a parent, as a coach as a player at what age do you learn to keep your mouth shut even though you know the call was wrong. There is an awesome commercial on US TV where a high school basketball player knows he was the one that touched the ball last even though the ref called it the other way. He tells the coach and his teammates say dont say anything but the coach says tell the ref the truth and coach tells his players just dont let them score. And finally the coach tell the player "good call". I wish that winning was not the most important part of a game. I wish that players could say to the refs when they make the wrong call but with all the focus on winning and the money it brings I guess that is never going to happen. The higher you go towards professional playing in any sports it is all about the winning. I am glad that I was never put in that position but I sure would love to hear what players and coaches think. OK enough LOL -

Chris so sorry things are bad. Sounds like your kids were having some rare experiences. I am sure it will be fun talking to them about their adventures. Wow though an elbow in the nose! Poor baby!

Trudy your are good to be making home cooked meals for your MG. You must be getting so excited for your trip!

Laurie your smile just radiates - so happy for you. Your hat is too cute!

Phylis your evening sounds lovely. Hope the play was so good you did not fall asleep.

So Angela what movie could keep your kids so interested while you napped. That was really sweet of them!

Have a great day all!

well. so much for dinner and a play! unfortunately, the people with the tickets who we were going with had to cancel.they were at a basketball game, watching their son play yesterday afternoon, and the son ended up breaking his leg and having to have emergency surgery. so the dad called to let us know that the gala evening was off. that poor kid. my husband and i were strangely glad to be able to stay home. you can tell we're getting to be old coots!

Chris, what an awful story about Cait!! hope she's feeling better today, and Scott, too.

Trudy, glad you've got the sun at last. have fun with your company today!

Nancy, if someone would tell the ref about what REALLY happened, the player would probably never hear the end of it, AND then get traded. too bad, but that's sports.

i had a terrible thing today and then a lovely thing. my friend, Hisako, called to basically say good-bye. she is back home in Ohio, after her failed surgery here. she has terminal cancer and not long to live. it was heartbreaking. more than heartbreaking. then later today i went to the Christening of my niece's triplet boys. the circle of life. sometimes it's a lot to take in.

hope everyone had at least one lovely something happen today.

HUgs Phylis!! I have been on the floor in the basement scrapping paint that managed to get through the tape, also went to town with MMG and bought some of our outdoor trimmings (flowers) and more mulch. He laid the mulch and I planted flowers. Now to start mixing stuff for my square foot gardens. I am really excited, although they will not grow much this year as I have not planned well for them. But photos will soon come. I do have a rabbit problem. Any suggestions? They ate the plastic trellis at the bottom of my deck. GRRRRR
