Happy Saturday everyone :-D ! Yikes Chris where are you????? I thought you would be here with coffee for everyone this morning!! Are you still :sleep: ? If so good for you!! Linda you are up early! Hope you get to do some scrapping today! Say Happy Birthday to your hubby for me. I am not working for the next 5 days Hooray!!! Time all to myself, I have been so busy that I have been neglecting my sisters and In-Laws so tonight we are going for supper to the In-Laws, It will be a birthday dinner for Gary so more cake I am sure, oh boy I have got to get back on Weight Watchers!! Hope to visit my one sister today or tomorrow and get all of my Disney pictures sent to Walmart for printing. My nephew is getting married today in Sidney Australia, sure wish I could have gone to the wedding but its just to darn expensive and don't know that hubby would stay on the plane that long, he is a little claustrophobic. I hope everyone has a great weekend!! See you here later perhaps? :wave:

Hey ladies quick fly-by prayer request. I've had a fever the last 30 hours or so. It got as high as 102.7, but is now hanging out at 100.2. I'm worried bc I can't remember the last time I was so sick. If I'm not improving by Monday morning, I'm going to the Dr. Ok, I really need to go pass out now. Love you ladies!!!

i was very lucky to be able to sleep in this morning- til 9!!! wheeee! Gary woke me up at 6:30 to tell me that our neighbor's across the street (you know- the heroin dealers on our block... grrrr) had 3 cop cars and one ambulance outside. I thought that if I didn't get back to sleep I would be fully acquitted if I murdered him.

But I did some stuff around the house and now I am ready to sit down and relax a bit. Got some bread in the bread machine and am making a pork loin/stuffing for dinner.

Aw thanks ladies I'm actually half a degree from "normal" and I'm feeling much better. Riley and I slept all morning in the living room, so if I coughed jeff wouldn't be woken up, and I just woke up feeling much better. I'm also eating some soup voluntarily, instead of jeff or my MIL forcing me to eat.
I know I definitely have the flu, and I can't have cold medicine because of my heart, so all the doctor will give me is a "viral pack." which is basically a baggie with green tea, Tylenol, and viatmin C drops. Since I'm improving they won't give me tamiflu. I refuse to go to the urgent care place bc a year ago I was there after a colonoscopy and I was having abdominal pain. Well that doctor pressed where I was having the pain, and I said yep that's where it is... Then he put all of his weight on the spot and was pumping like he was doing CPR. At that point I was bawling uncontrollably and he said I was fine. When my GI heard what happened, bc he was calling me in-between patients, he sent me straight to the ER. I had a small tear in my muscle which turned into a gaping tear bc of that urgent care doctor.
So that's why I don't go to urgent care, and the ER would cost too much.

So, today pretty much sucks. DH lost all cool points this morning. he couldn't sit still because he didn't take his ADD meds so he got Ethan on his meds for the first time today but it was a giant waste and I am sooooooo mad. I was up sooooo late last night because I took a nap yesterday so he packed up Ethan to go find some space heaters and as soon as he left Addie woke up. Well, since he was off running around he didn't do anything to see how Ethan's meds affected him and I got zero sleep. So this whole morning was just a mess. So, now I am attempting to do our taxes while he seems to think he should be sleeping. Butthead.
Setting up a rental was a pain in the butt but not as hard as I was anticipating. So now I am almost done. Now I jusy have to send them in. Yay!! Now we"ll just see how long until they will pay me.
Anyway...I'm worn out now so I'll be back later. My mom is helping me fix some errors.

So we had Cameran's birthday party today.....those kids had a blast!!!! Bowling was a big hit!!! Cameran was thrilled!!! I don't think my pictures turned out too well...we will see when I download....but I think I got good video
I think Mike is going to his leased land in the morning....YAYAY!!! quiet house for me for a few hours!!!!! Then the big game tomorrow night!!!

Having said that - helloooo ladies! Look what the cat dragged back in! :biggrin:
I see some of you are still having colds/flu etc. I say this winter needs to be over NOW! I have had enough of it!
We're now in Blacksburg, SC having the day offeace: We have another load (if they don't mess with it like they have been doing and messing up our pay checks for a month now grrrrr) leaving Monday back to Laredo, TX. I sure hope there isn't another ice storm coming. Our truck was a truckicle a few days ago. :biggrin:
It took me 3 hours just to get through El Paso as the road was ice covered and since it's so rare there they really have no clue how to drive in it so cars were sliding all over the interstate into guard rails, one another and under trailers of big rigs. :scared: So I was praying one wouldn't slide under mine!
And now 2 more weeks...and my mom will fly into Orlando!!! :cheer2:
She is going to stay for 2 weeks, so my husband will drive solo for 1 week to be able to pay for the truck while I am home for an extra week - isn't he a doll? :biggrin: I sure think so!
Not sure where to take my mom every day as the moolah situation is not good, but I warned her for that and we may have to just go to the dog park every day for an outing or something :biggrin:
Speaking of dogs...our Max, the piggy beagle, found out that Jason had left a box with 20 Mc Donald's chicken nuggets on the dash, so while we were outside the truck for 5 minutes, he had himself some dinner. :scared:
Of course he felt like a king, until 24 hours later...he then got diarrhea, didn't peep or let on he had to go outside and went on the comforter in the truck (yes our bed!).
It was disgusting! Of course we immediately went to our terminal and washed the sheets and comforter 3 times, cleaned the truck etc and the dog as it was all over his back side - nasty! So I gave him an Immodium (he weighs 70 LBS so he can have one) and it finally worked.
I think I went outside 5 times with him standing in the ice storm and being mad at him for eating it, but then I decided I should be mad at my husband because he knows better than to leave food where he can get to it. So then he was not a happy camper.
Max is doing fine now but it sure didn't make for a fun evening!

I got a lot of the housework done yesterday (with mr gorgeous help). I was excited as I cleared some of the ice off the deck and off the top of the hot tub and thought how nice to sit in the tub with snow all around. by evening the south wind was blowing and that made it too cold to go out. No frozen ears- maybe tonight. Unfortunately along with church I have to get groceries today- on superbowl sunday- blech.

Good morning ladies! Meg, I hope that you really are feeling better. My cold actually took a turn for the worse and I had a fever...nothing like Meg's...only 100. But I fell asleep at 6 pm. Did a little scrapping but no shopping. We may need to re-try this birthday thing next weekend. :-(

Laurie- I know people love being in the hot tub when it is cold outside, but i don't get it! I can't stand turning the shower off and being cold, I can't imagine getting out of a hot tub into freezing weather. OT: I was cleaning out a bookcase and found a Children's Atlas I used to use when I was teaching mamny years ago. it still had the USSR. So weird to see how much has changed.
Anyway- petra- mom is coming in 2 weeks! yay! You have a good man! And a baaaaaad puppy!!! But I know how it is, you love them no matter what!

Clara- men!!! If men were really in charge, could you imagine what a mess life would be? LOL LOL
Good for you for doing your taxes- I have to start working on ours. we are going to get slammed this year. We got Gary's Disability Back pay (2 years worth) last Jan. and they don't do any withholding on it. So that's going to bite. Hopefully our medical deductions will help to counterbalance the income a bit.

Good morning everyone... Well yesterday was busy with grocery shopping and getting my pictures sent of to Walmart, which I picked up in the afternoon. They turned out pretty good! Then went to my sisters to see if she was home and she had her house torn apart and was painting the kitchen. So just a quick visit with her :Cry: I wanted coffee and time with my sister!! Oh well perhaps during the week I will try again. We are off to the In-Laws today for supper and to watch the game, then tomorrow off to see the dental specialist to have my splint adjusted.
Chris - How will you be able to stay up to watch the game if you go to bed at 8:00pm??? LOL, hope your superbowl party is a lot of fun!!
LindaS - You better crawl back into bed and take care of that darn cold!! Sounds like everyone better crawl back into bed today, hope that you feel better real soon!

Afternoon all - shopping went well- came home and made gameday junk food-so much for working out this am- my knee has been bothering me off and on since Wed- it had before, but now is more- bet I twisted it on the ice wed.
Chris- I get so hot in the hot tub, that I don't feel cold once I get out!
Kayleigh- enjoy the game- bet there will be lots of baby holders to help you out.

PETRA! Oh my goodness!!!!!!!! And I thought Riley getting into my cough drops this morning was a problem!!!! Wow girl, hopefully Jason learned his lesson!!!!!!
I woke up this morning fever free!!!! I was finally able to cuddle up next to Jeff when he got home from work -- talk about going cold turkey without him -- this fever couldn't of come at a worse time! He hasn't said much about the promotion or being on graveyard, but time will tell.
I'm definitely still sick, but at least the fever is gone! I slept in the living room last night, in my chair, straight up. The only way I could breathe! I actually think that helped get rid of the fever, not having the stress on my body to breathe.
I've been watching the Puppy Bowl today -- CB is definitely the cutest dog, Aries will probably get MVP, and the shitzu (sp) brothers?!?! cute!!!!!! Jeff's starting the BBQ to do his six lbs of ribs, I'm going to try and stomach an English Muffin, and then it's game time!

Can't be a Steelers fan after the Seahawks defeat a few years ago at the Superbowl. Really I could care less about football but Superbowl is still fun. I love the American Anthem, the commercials, halftime, and just all the hoopla of superbowl. Derek and I are on opposing teams. Should be fun. LOL!!
So today was a good medication day and we saw the actual effects today. Holy wow!! We have no need to up his dose. 1 pill is just fine. It was amazing and now tonight he is making us crazy. I think the contrast just makes it so much more apparent how necessary it was. tonight he can't even get his legos picked up while today he got his legos out for the first time in 6 months. He sat and did multiplication, he did some school work, and then played with his legos. this medication won't get him through homework but once we get him on his slow release meds, life will be awesome for him.
So...Addie is in the livingroom yelling "Go Seagulls!!!" LOL!!

Can't be a Steelers fan after the Seahawks defeat a few years ago at the Superbowl. Really I could care less about football but Superbowl is still fun. I love the American Anthem, the commercials, halftime, and just all the hoopla of superbowl. Derek and I are on opposing teams. Should be fun. LOL!!
So today was a good medication day and we saw the actual effects today. Holy wow!! We have no need to up his dose. 1 pill is just fine. It was amazing and now tonight he is making us crazy.
