to all my wonderful friends South of the Border!! I hope that you all have a fabulous day!! I guess Chris must be enjoying a much needed morning of sleeping in!!
I am getting ready to start my work day and could not believe that I was the first one here this morning, usually I am the last, so I am guessing that everyone is enjoying a morning off!

Good morning Trudy! Thanks for getting us started with that fun little 4th of July smiley man!

I could have slept much longer but Syd needs to be ready for the parade at 9 and I need some coffee and quiet time to be ready for Syd (and the rest of the family)! So, I set my alarm and am thinking that perhaps I can get a nap in before the day ends!

I am heeeerrrre!!!
Being lazy I guess. I have been up for an hour and was enjoying the quiet, catching up on Facebook and the news. And coffee. Always with my coffee. :tea:

Trudy- what a cute smiley dude!

Linda S- have a wonderful time at the parade- I can't wait to see what you scrap from it!

Well it looks to be a beautiful sunny day here today, finally we might actually see some of the summer weather that the rest of the country is having. Although I don't think I want it to be quite as hot as some of you are experiencing!

Chris - Hope you managed to keep the boys under control at the lake yesterday! You might have to purchase a :whip: to keep them away from your Cait!! LOL Hope you are sleeping in this morning, you deserve the rest!!

LindaS - Good morning to you! Hope you manage to sneak in that nap later on today!

"J" - So nice to see you here in the Daily's hope you get to spend more time in here!!

Well I have got to hit the shower and get my butt out the door for my nice little 4hr shift today, hoping I can get a nice walk in after work in the sunshine! Have a great morning everyone!

OK, now I am more settled. (I think)
I have to complain first that I am tired if itching!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know, seriously, in the grand scheme of things, poison ivy is really towards the bottom of the list of concerns, but OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am still getting new blisters and i can't stand it! The older ones are finally drying up, but the new ones just keep on coming. Phyllis, I do not know how you dealt with it for 6 weeks.

Scott came home from PA with my mom yesterday. He went up Sunday morning, just him, and my parents. I have to express how grateful and proud and all things mushy that my kids and my parents are so close. I told my mom how much it means to me- my kids adored all 4 of their g-parents when they were little. Of course they are going to love the people that spoil them and think they are the coolest thing since sliced bread. But now that they are getting older and like being with my parents (and vice verse) just because they enjoy being with them as people.... just amazing.
I am always so thankful- we might not have a lot in the way of money or health but we have family.

Cait is off to her boyfriend's family BBQ today (faint) and we are just hanging here. I wish I was working, weekends/holidays don't seem much different to us, I guess.
The kids remember when they were little, before Gary got sick. weekends were "Daddy Stay Home Days" and they would be so excited for that. Now we laugh that we need some Daddy Go Out Days *evil grin*

Happy Fourth to all of the USA!

YAY! sunshine for Trudy!! can i send you about 15 degrees of our HEAT??? another day in the 90s. hope your 4 hour shift goes quickly!

ever notice how, in order to have some ME time, we have to get up before everyone else? it seems everyone wants a piece of us, once they get up. i've been up since 5. i finally slept in my bedroom last night, because it was supposed to be cooler. but "slept" might not be accurate. we had some exceptional storms moving through in the middle of the night. lots of noise and rain and running around the house closing windows, then opening them so we wouldn't roast. then closing them again as the next storm roared through.

Linda, have fun at the parade!

Chris, i'm glad you got to ease into the day with coffee and Me time!

Happy 4th to all who celebrate it!

Morning O Fam- hard to get in the holiday spirit- MMG decided to work today as the Amish do not consider it a holiday and this is an Amish stop day- plus he played hookey with me Friday. So we will see each other tonight. I have just finished watering and weeding my strawberries, which I have sadly neglected since MMG put the auto sprinklers in. There are several plants with runners- I may get strawberries next year after all! Next rehydrate and then off to prune roses. Not in a scrapping mood, although I do have a doggie book in mind for the budster, but will need to find the photos so not feeling that part of the process today, oh and there is house cleaning. I put the dog house down at the end of the road Sunday and by last night it was gone. For not really being a dog person, I am really finding this difficult. Does anyone else have bug seasons? We had june bugs (in may) then fireflies and now my least favorite- horsefly- that will be followed with crickets!! Okay off to rehydrate

Chris, we posted at the same time. i sure hope your PI dries up and goes away! since i never had it before that one giant time, it is a crappy memory that i never want to repeat! i'm getting itchy just thinking about you. does being out in the sun help the itching at all?

Laurie, i feel so bad about your dog. it's harder than we think it's going to be when they go. my dog was put down with cancer almost 30 years ago, and it hurt so much, i never wanted another dog. i still think about him. i guess it'll be the same when my cat goes. WAAHHH!
