Oscraps

Daily O's: Thursday, November 22

What in the world? Why am I awake at 4:30 on a day when I could sleep in?

We did Thanksgiving dinner last night. My oldest niece has to work today so we did Thanksgiving dinner a day early. There were 16 of us...each of young adults and teenagers brought a boyfriend/girlfriend and my sister-in-laws mother joined us! I cooked all day long...and there was plenty of food! I love doing that! Today, whoever is around will come back for leftovers. And it's a good thing because there are way too many!

Four days and nothing planned...how fabulous is that? No basketball, no soccer...just scrapping and maybe a movie and maybe some Christmas shopping from my computer...and naps...lots of naps!

Trudy, sorry to hear that you have been sick. I seem to have caught a cold...but it hasn't settled in my chest so I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Chris, I hope that you can get some rest with a four day weekend!

Phylis, hope you got those pies made. I baked a pumpkin pie and a chocolate pecan pie and didn't eat either one. Trying to keep my blood sugar under control and it was very good all day...even woke up good this morning so I guess the efforts paid off. Sure would like to slip down to the kitchen and get one right now.

Nana Linda, don't wear yourself out today! (Is Tracy coming? If so, I hope it goes very well.)

Laurie, what a great story about the sneezing! And love the idea of you and hubby and the boys playing with the nerf guns!

Sally, good to have you back here. And Maureen, same goes to you!

Happy Thanksgiving to my USA friends! My boys made it safe and sound just before midnight. They are playing golf with their dad today and tomorrow. They didn't bring their nerf guns- oh well, we will have fun anyways! Sunny and near 60 today, another day for a walk!

Hi my dear friends.

Thank you as always for being here for me, esp since I could really use some prayers for peace and strength today. Yesterday was a brutal day and I simply do not know when it is going to get better.

If all goes well, I am taking the kids to MIL's for dinner.

Hope that all of you have a happy and wonderful and delicious day with your families.

xoxoxo

thank you all so much. I am sitting here with knots in my stomach, just trying to breathe through it. It means A LOT and helps me so much that you are out there.

Chris. i don't know what to say except that i hope you will do what's best for YOU. i am thinking of you and sending a million hugs, dear person.

Happy Thanksgiving to all USA O-zies. we leave for an afternoon of lukewarm food and odd relatives in a few hours. in the meantime, i've been making Christmas Cards and tending the fire in the wood stove. mornings are COLD, though we're supposed to have 60 degrees today, which is SO pleasant for late November.

Linda, it must be pleasant to have the BIG DINNER behind you. i love hearing that your schedule has slowed down for several days!

Laurie, sorry no Nerf Battles! i know you'll have a great time with The Guys. hope you're having the same beautiful weather we are over here!

thanks, Sue!!

time to get away from the computer and do Something Else, until it's time to get ready for TG travels. I hope the sun is shining where you are, even if it's only in your own head.

We are having beautiful weather and as far as having a good time- I don't think I raised my boys to be very sentimental or communicative- love them, but very happy they all left to go golfing- got a partial workout in, planning on going for another photo walk before our main meal!

Happy Turkey day to my "O" family in the States!! Hope you are all enjoying your special long weekend!! I am finally starting to feel better, of course, I go back to work tomorrow, oh well its only one day and then the weekend! Its chilly here this morning, snow on the top of the mountains, but none down here so that's good!

LindaS - Ugghhh up so early on your day off!! Sounds like you were a cooking whiz yesterday, that's a lot of mouths to feed LOL. Good for you for keeping away from the pie, stay strong and keep that blood sugar under control!! No plans for the next few days must be a first for you LOL. Enjoy!!

Chris - to you my friend, sending you lots of positive vibes your way!! Hope everything will be ok!! We are here for you, always!!

Laurie - too bad no nerf fights, but great that you have your boys home!! Enjoy every moment!!

Sue - No turkey for us here in :canada: either, we already had our Thanksgiving, do you celebrate Thanksgiving in the UK?

Phylis - Ha, Ha, sounds like a visit to my family gatherings.( luke warm food and odd relatives) Oh well you can pick your friends, but you sure can't pick your relatives!! I know that I probably would not be friends with half of mine LOL. Travel safe my friend!!

Enjoy your day everyone!!

So I did go for a walk, then ran into my men on the golf course and rode around with them. We just finished our meal and they are all snoring. I am going to check out PSE 11 which downloaded all day!
