Daily O's: January 1, 2013

Good morning and welcome to 2013! Totally crazy to write that title. Did you stay up and ring in the New Year? I was in bed at 10:30 and slept until 6:30! I like the way that worked out! :clap2: :whoo:

A slow day here to end our holiday season. What about you? Anything exciting?

MG and I fell asleep on the couch at 8 then woke up at 9 and stayed up until the stroke of midnight. Had a New Years Kiss and Cuddle then off to bed again til 6am. We are the most boring people ever!!

I made it! I made it!! I even surprised myself hahahah!! We went over to our friends at 6.30 and I thought for sure I'd be back home by 10. I was wishing I could just be home with Gary and the kids in my pj's. But the kids were both out and we had plans.
But our friend is so sweet and funny and warm that she really made the night enjoyable. It was just 4 couples and we are the babies of the group. Good food and nice conversation. And no cosmos! She had really good Mexican food, so I was very happy sipping a few Coronas!

I hope to start taking the tree down today before I head out to get my kids this afternoon. I also have to post up my January Challenge!

We went out for a fancy dinner and were home about 9:30, I may have fallen asleep a little ;-) but awoke before the New Year.

Lots to do to start off the year...get the decorations down and the house cleaned!

we had to cancel a get together with friends and were in bed by 11.00 both feeling lousy with colds and sore throats.That's the first time in my adult life that I've not stayed up .

I got in bed at 12:03...so just barely made it :becky: and by myself I might add. Mike had gotten up at 4:30 yesterday to go hunting and did not get home until almost 8...so he passed out quickly. Cameran was here, and he went right on to bed with him...and Jesse and Jaiden too. So I was watching a Criminal Minds marathon. Nice and quiet.

Did get the gift of a the start of a sinus thing here...my throat is sore, head hurts...off to get some Muscinex shortly.


Gotta take the kids in a bit to meet their Mom...to my strong objections, she insists that I meet her at their father's house to get their Christmas presents from him. Well....if they aren't stolen it would surprise me. I feel no reason to do this..but she has told the kids and they are all excited about it....not because of him, just because there are presents. I think I just might ask him "if you can buy presents, why can't you send money to support them?"


I had a dream last night...how I wish it were true..........I dreamed I was working for this company and they were handing out Christmas presents and they gave me a week vacation, all paid for to Florida.....now wouldn't that be nice?


Okay O family...off to clean the kitchen and hit the shower. LOTS OF LOVE!!!

Happy New Year - attended a party with friends and so yes made it to watch the ball drop in Times Square. Then headed home! Had a really good time! I made garlic knots from a Rachael Ray recipe and they were a hit so that made me happy! We had homemade pizzas and cooked in a brickoven that Mary (the hostess) made herself. They were delicious Oh she made the pizza dough too! Today is a calm day. Going to watch the Rose bowl parade and then some bowl games.

Well, Happy New Year every one! I did make it up till midnight. I drove across the state to spend the evening with my husband- sadly a snowstorm hit while I was driving so it took me an extra 45 min. The people at the hotel and the restaurant were pleased to meet and see that there actually is a misses! Then I went with him this morning to the first grower he sells feed to. It was nice to put a face to a name and to see some of the remote locations he drives to. I have not seen cinders put on a road in forever, but I did today. Took a great pic of a bright red outhouse with a wreath on it as well. Now to settle in, upload my challenge for you all to get busy on and enjoy the rest of the day!

Happy New Year all!! I did stay up until midnight. Went to a party at a friend's and it was fun. Derek let me drink and it was a margarita night. Woke up feeling not too bad which was nice. Now I get to count down the days until my mom, sister and my niece get here. Whoohoo!! I cannot wait. Time to run. I have to go get some baby stuff for my sister to borrow while she's here.

I didn't make it to midnight. Haven't done that in years. Guess I'm getting old!

Sounds like quite a few are getting sick. I'm just getting over the crud.

Craig and I actually traveled home yesterday from a week long trip. Got here to find the house a wreck--guess the kid decided to have a party on us. No food in the house. He must have fed all of his friends. The heater was broken and the garbage disposal broken. Not a good homecoming.

Looking at the bright side--giving the kid the boot and pushing him out of the nest. He turns 21 on Saturday. So, it will be the last time we find our place a wreck. The repairman came today and fixed the heater. Good thing because it is supposed to get cold cold cold tonight. One nice thing of living in a small city--often get special attention on a holiday.

Finally sitting down to scrap. Seems like it has been forever!! Hope I can find the mojo.

hiya, and Happy 2013!! i fell asleep around 10:30 listening to Middlemarch (audiobook) woke up at 11:30, fell back asleep. woke up at 3:30, went upstairs to bed. tossed and turned and dozed until 6:30. today was GREAT!! i didn't have to cook dinner! we were invited to one of my cousin's houses. had a lovely visit with a number of cousins and one of my sisters, had some Malbec, had some great food, drove home and it's only 6:30! tomorrow Hubby goes back to work. cheer2 totally back to NORMAL. decos are away, house is clean (-ish), no men with shopping carts at the grocery store, other people's kids are back at school. my world is restored to equillibrium! WOOT!!

we haven't got this cold/flu thing that's going around yet. i hope it stays away!! and i hope everyone who has had it or is getting it will be better soon.

i actually made a page today! no zig-zaggies during the process, so that was good.

does this feel like SUNDAY or WHAT?? i'll have to keep reminding myself tomorrow that it's WEDNESDAY!

and hope your Wednesday will be a good one.

YIkes back to work for me tomorrow- only cold, not snow to deal with! I have been putzing around since I got back home. I need to upload some layouts and have some in my mind that I need to either write down, or start!
