Good morning ladies....

Just wanted to get a thread started here!!

I have a houseful...STILL!! LindaS...sorry Syd is sick!! I hope she feels better..but we had your Cousin Sleepover for ya!! I have Cameran Jesse and Jaiden...Did not get in the bed until 11:30 last night...They just would not settle down!!!

Anyway...I will get back later when my house is quiet again..which is suppose to be by 12...I love them...but they gotta go today!!! LOL!!

Oh no Linda W- Last summer my MIL had all 4 cousins stay over and had the same thing happen- and my kids/nieces are older (6- 13 yo's who should know better! LOL)

Hope you get some rest, I am sure you need it.

So I am here, feeling good- had a fabulous day yesterday. This spa is rated one of the best in NJ and it is just heavenly! They have a "Relax Room" where you wait for your treatments- soft lighting, comfy sofas, fruit, muffins, sandwiches, they bring you coffee or cappuccinos, and it smells so relaxing- lots of lavender.....
I had a full body massage, then a facial/upper body massage, then a 10 minutes steam and shower. That was so restful and relaxing- during the massage I could feel/hear all of my vertebrae just "popping" and releasing the tension.

Then we got dressed and went upstairs into the very posh salon for our mani/pedis. The nail techs that did our feet were a riot- I hadn't laughed so hard in so long. They kept saying that they were going to get fired if a manager came back, but I said for them to blame it all I me, that I made them do it I needed happy toes!. The one girl was doing this impression of a Jersey City "spa." Jersey City is right across the river from NYC and has some very rough areas- when you think of the the stereotypical Jersey diner waitress- that is what she was doing.
Then my girl was showing us how she belly dances- and we were just laughing... it was awesome.

Just the best day.... and my SIL got some time to relax back at her house and talk.... then we went to dinner at this little Italian place that they go to (you know the kind - they walk in and everyone comes over to kiss them LOL)
Had some nice wine, some delish calamari and awesome lobster ravioli in a vodka sauce with asparagus and shrimp and red peppers.

I am totally not trying to rub it in, I am trying to relive it!! Over and over! LOL

Tonight I am going to the W. Milford HS PTA Bingo Night. Yes, Bingo ;) My friend is is the PTA president and asked if I would donate something for the winner baskets over the summer and said that I should come- it supposed to be fun. Can I just add that I have never played Bingo- as in the adult game of Bingo- I have only played with one card, and little kids. This should be very interesting!

I'll have to let you know if I win anything!
 
Hi everyone,

just wanted to let you know that my father in law passed away yesterday, he was only 70 years old. The funeral will be on wednesday, and I am at home now with the girls. DH is still with his mother and family.

My FIL had this terrible dissease called ALS. In two years time he lost every muscle in his body. And over the last couple of weeks he also lost the ability to speak and to swallow. He already couldn't breathe without the help of a machine for about four months. So we knew that he didn't have much longer... But still, we didn''t see it coming

Linda S- how is Sydney today? Hope she is doing better. Was every one disappointed about having to cancel the cousin sleepover? I bet they were.

Joslyn- ROTF! I can only imagine all of the nurses/drs doing one big collective shudder any time they hear "internet" Did you see the episode of House where the patient is googling while he was in the hospital? Too funny!
I hope that Chase is still doing better. Poor little guy! Hope that you enjoyed your baking? What did you and the girls make?

Linda W- did you take pics of the pumpkins? I bet it was a blast!

Ooohhh Sally! How was the new house and the church party?
And how is your Aunt? Still thinking healing thoughts!

And if you are serious about us coming (or just me!) to stay- I would be sooo excited- I am seriously working on saving $$- any loose change I find in the wash goes right into the Trip Jar :lol:
 
Oh Wia- I am so sorry! One of my brother's best friends had ALS and passed away when he was only in his 30's. and it is awful. :( Lots of thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

Clara! Buhahahah! Did you send my computer a "virus" to keep me from googling?

Elisa- I hope that the weather starts to cooperate for you. Hope you have time to relax- your weekend sound so busy!

Clara- Oh no-- silly dog!!! My dog got into the garbage a few weeks ago- where Gary threw out a container of yucky chocolate ice cream and dragged the garbage all over kitchen and then fell into the melted ice cream and got it all over the rugs and floors.... Anyway- yeah, I had to have him put a baby latch back on the garbage cabinet.
Hope that your mood is better- I had the CD player up real loud yesterday and sang along since I was by myself- that always helps!

Oh Merkee- I am so sorry to hear about DH's job :( I know you were expecting it, but it stinks just the same. hope he doesn't get underfoot too much. BT-Doing that LOL

Hi Dawn!!! I am so happy to see ya post back inhere too- It was getting too quiet. Now I need a Davy Fix!! How is our Bunny?

OK, better get off the computer since it is now almost 11 am....

Good morning ladies. Sydney is fine...completely fine. Amazing! She took Motrin at 6, slept, woke up about 9 and drank some gatorade and that was the end of it. And yes, they were very sad that there was no cousin sleepover so I had to promise that next week would be a very special one!

Chris, the spa sounds delightful! I've had some really good spa treatments over the years but that one sounds the best!

Linda W...ooooh...getting those kids to wind down is the worst! But I know that they all had a really good time.

And Wia, so sorry to hear about your FIL. My sympathies to your family. A friend lost his wife to ALS 4 months ago yesterday...she was 54 and he is having the hardest time. What a cruel disease it is.

Wia- I am so sorry about your FIL. ALS is such a devastating disease, just horrible. My prayers are with you and your family.

Chris-OMGosh your spa day sounds like pure Heaven! Just WOW, I've never had a real spa day...I think I need to request that for Christmas or b-day :).

LindaS-Hello! So glad Sydney's better today!

LindaW-I bet you are absolutey exhausted! But in a good way :). Hope you have some R&R time today!

Not much happening here today, just hanging out playing on the puter. DS is coming sometime today and he and DH are going to make some yucky beef liver for lunch. Just EW! Yup, he just got here a few minutes ago and I had to help DH get everything started....so happy I already ate cause now I have no appetite at all....why in the world do people wanna eat liver?

soooo, Davy....well, she's just Davy, her hormones seem to have calmed down some but she is eating like a little pig! She's getting big, weighs just around 5 lbs. Twice a day I lay down on the bed on my back and she lays on my chest and we have a major petting session. She gets to gritting(purring for rabbits) those little teeth and it's just soooo precious! Her little teeth are adorable and so's the rest of her LOL. I got a baby gate to put across my bedroom door so she can see out now when she's running around...whenever one of the cats or anybody comes around she rushes over and stands up on her back legs wanting pets. DH just loves her now cause she rushes to see him. Amanda's kitten is too rough so I have to watch her, she doesnt' seem to understand that Davy is a family member LOL. Most of the time when Davy's out the kitten gets put up. Sassy on the other hand loves Davy, she can play with her without getting scratched, Amanda's kitty(she calls her Summer but it doesn't fit to me LOL so I call her kitty) scratches at Sassy when they play and Sassy doesn't like it at all....Sassy is declawed so it's unfair the poor dear. She just growls at her but likes to chase her when she is in the mood LOL.

That's about it, Davy hasn't reall done anything naughty or funny lately. When she's out she mostly wants petted now :). OOOOoh wait, when she goes in the living room DH fixes her a 'fort' with a blanket and a clothes basket and she LOVES it, she hides and hops under there and pulls at it and digs at it...wears her little self out! I forgot all about that...it's sooo funny.

Well...guess that's about it for now :). xoxoxoxo

Awe...little Davy!!! She is either being funny or sweet....but it sounds like she has gotten used to SOMEBODY being home all the time, so she has gone from her crazy antics (attention getting feats) to just wanting love all the time....and sounds like hers and DH's time alone when you went on your trip made him turn the corner about her!! Sounds as though the whole family is spoiling her rotten!!! HEHEHEHE!! ((((Hugs)))) for Davy and YOU too!!

LindaS...Isn't it amazing how fast those kiddos can just bounce right back?? I am estatic that she is better so quickly!! WTG SYD!! and yes...getting to wind down WAS the worst of it...but like you said they had a blast!! Jesse has gotten old enough that Cameran likes to play with him more..I finally had to seperate them to get them to sleep though...ooooo..MEAN NANA!!

Wia....my heart is with you and your family...I am so sorry for your loss!! Please know that we are all here if you need us...we are good listeners. many many many (((HUGS)))

Chris...LOL!!! doesn't matter how old they are...that wouldn't change anything!! they are gonna laugh and have fun as long as they are together...and fight sometimes too!! your day sounds like JUST what you needed my dear!! I am so HAP HAP HAPPPPPY for you!! and sounds like your toes are too! LOL!! B I N G O.........YAY!!!!!!! Win LOTS of money!! Can't wait to hear that went!!!
 
So got rid of EVERYONE by 12:30...the mom's showed up around 10:30 and we had a chit chat session for about 2 hours...that was nice!! and the kids finished wrecking the house!! Oh well...Sharon and Cameran helped get all the toys put away....Traci had to go though, Jaiden had a DR appt for a rash...which was nothing but eczema...but you know how parnoid Mommy's can be!! Then I sat in the quiet scrapping a page for about an hour...then started cleaning...ughh...and then out to dinner with my parents!! YAY!! Now I am home in the quiet again....VERY quiet...no tv..no radio...just quiet!!! I can even hear the clock on the wall ticking...and my typing sounds so loud!! LOL!!!

Alrighty girls....I am off...putting on a movie...The Proposal....

I am going on a drive with my parents on the parkway tomorrow....the colors are just about peaked and and I know it will be GORGEOUS!!! Camera in hand and ready to do some scrapping with them next week!!!


HAVE A FABULOUS REST OF THE WEEKEND....going to the gallery while I watch my movie...wanna see what yall have been scrapping!!:p
 
Hi girls! Oh my goodness, the Bingo was too funny. My friends and I walked in and were astounded at the spread some of these Bingo-ers had- we saw everything from chips and dip, to cheese platters to meals! The PTA had out cakes and cookies and coffee, so we nibbled on that but it was almost like tail-gating for some of these. And then there were the people who had their lucky charms and their Bingo bells... we were outclassed, big time :D

But I did win a Bingo-It wasn't for cash- it was Longaberger baskets, that were filled with different things. I won a small tea basket (retails at $63!- and it was the smallest basket there was, most of them were closer to $100 retail- crazy!!) and it came with choc. chip cookie mix in a jar, a coffee mug, and something else LOL
My 2 friends also won something- a Longaberger bundt pan, and an Entertainment book (the best thing to win if you ask me LOL)

My F-W stuff was put into a Tricky Tray for a Super Grand prize, and it was cool to see it there:)

it was definitely an experience!
 
Linda W- sounds like you had a great day- family and chaos and then quiet scrap time- best of both worlds!

Dawn- thanks for the Davy update :) Is it official that he is a she? Love how she is so attached to you both. I loved it when our rats would chuckle when we snuggled with them.
Ewwww- liver!!! Blech!!!

Little tidbit for anyone who watched Real Housewives of NJ- the Spa I was at, DePasquale's, was in it. So was my old OB/GYN, Dr. Domnitz. its my 6 degrees of fame LOL

Chris....Oh yeah...BINGO people are very serious about their bingo!! They can be snippy too if you disturb them while they call numbers!!!

WOOT for winning a cool basket!! I would love to win something like that!! and double WOOT for FW stuff in the super prize!!! I know that thrilled you!! and too cool about the H of NJ...we watch that sometimes...DH doesn't like it as much as the other one H of OC...I gotta say...those women have some ISSSSUUUUEEEESSS!!!

WEll it was a good day here!! I went to walmart (that was NOT the good part since I spent $237 on groceries...ughhh...but I had not been in two and half weeks..my fault) then I scrapped a page...yay two this weekend!! and then I went with my Mom and Dad on a drive up the parkway...oh my it was crowded too...usually the parkway is empty..but it was peak weekend for colors...what colors there were...unfortunately all the 90 degree weather through most of the fall has kept the color away...alot of trees went straight from green to dead brown leaves...but we found some spots that were pretty....see my gallery soon for those!! I see many pages coming with OTONO!!

It was nice to spend some quality time with my M & D....my dad had his Nikon D90...drool....and was taking pics like crazy!!! He had a blast!! I got some good pics of HIM taking pics!!

Well I am gonna run...I need upload my page to Merkee's gallery...and finish dinner ....step daughter and her boyfriend are on their way..they haven't been up in weeks and weeks!!
