lOve the O!
Morning O fam- I slept past 5 am- it should be a holiday!! Instead, I am heading to dance, coming home and doing laundry and then getting ready to go out to dinner and dancing - yes again- I am so blessed that my husband likes dancing. He is even willing to try an Asian fusion type restaurant- from the man that eats steaks and ribs and no Mexican food! Hoping for a wonderful time again! Yikes I need to get hopping- catch up with you all while the laundry runs!

Good morning Laurie.....have fun with all that dancing and laundry...haha that sounds funny!!!

Good morning to the rest of you peeps....I have been awake since 5 myself but did not get up until about an hour ago, about 7....What's on the agenda for the weekend??
I have to take bug to ballet this morning and then as soon as we finish I have rush home get Jesse and head to his basketball game. Other than this, not much for the afternoon....it's going to be so cold today, so no outdoor stuff. I might do some cooking this afternoon.

Guess I better get myself in gear....she has to be there in an hour and she is not up yet!! YIKES!!!

Have a great day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning my O-Fam! How are all of you today. I was able to stay in bed until 7:30!

Have fun at dinner tonight Laurie! You too nana!

So remember the last couple of days I said that my life was boring? Work. Home. Rinse. Repeat. I have to learn to add that comment to my lists of Things Not to Say, right up there with "I can't take one more thing to go wrong."

I go to work yesterday and let myself in, since my client's dh was not home. Head upstairs and get to work. A while later, my client calls me to let me know that there was a break-in up the street from her. (These are million dollar homes, really really gorgeous). Her brother, whom had picked something up from my client's porch, had been pulled over and questioned by detectives. And to let me know that the detectives might want to stop by and talk to me. Even though I knew nothing or had anything to worry about, I was so nervous when they got there, that I am worried that I looked guilty or made the brother look guilty, b/c I didn't see him, didn't know what he looked like, the client's husband wasn't home where he usually is..... I dropped my phone twice trying to show the detectives the texts from my client that I knew her brother was stopping by... ack! i think I watch too many crime drama b/c I definitely was trying to analyze what I did and said.

Then after I get home, phone rings, Gary grabs it. It is another detective but this time asking for Scott. A few years ago, one of Scott's friends confided in Scott that she was being molested by her step-father. He encouraged her to speak to the school who then called in the police. He gave a statement of what he knew. The case is now going to trial and the prosecutor will be asking Scott to testify. We have to make an appt with the prosecutor next week to meet and prep him and then go from there. On the one hand, I am so proud of him and want him to know thathe is doing the right thing in getting this man put away and justice for his friend. OTOH- I am his MOM and I don't want him doing this!!!!!!! I know, he doesn't have a choice and the right thing is not always the easy thing and blah blah blah.
But my baby, on the stand, testifying in court? Already I am worrying if this guy gets off will he hold it against Scott? (Yes, again, I watch waaaay too many Crime Dramas!)

Then to top off my day, Scott texts me that he passed his written driving test and was heading out for 2 hours of behind the Wheel. My baby is driving!!!!

On good notes, he also texted me that he got 110 on one test, 100 on a Spanish quiz and his GF wrote a very sweet "Why I love You " on FB to him.

:faint:

Here's to a no-police involved day!

good morning - a very busy Saturday for me. First though my Devils won 5-3 over the Flyers - it was a great come back game. My Devils scored the first goal in the first period and then gave up 3 goals to the Flyers but in the 3rd period they tied it and went ahead. Now today 17 NJ Devils fans are heading to Long Island for the Devils/Islanders game. The kids are going early me I am going a tad later as I dont need to party so hard. It will be fun. Then Sunday will be a day of rest. The kids make awesome food for tailgating so that will be fun. If I get cold I have my heated seats in my Escape LOL.

Chris that is crazy about your interactions with the police. Yes watching crime dramas lets our imaginations run wild.

Laurie you are so lucky you husband likes to dance.

Have a great day!

Laurie -- Enjoy your day!!! Hehe yes you're very blessed to have a man like him!!!! It took me five years to get Jeff to try sushi.

Nana I hope you managed to get the bug up!

Awww Chris!!! I'm proud of Scott for doing the right thing :) he's really growing up into a great guy!

Nancy I hope you enjoy your tailgating!!! Hehe gotta love those heated seats :)

Well this morning I'm a total zombie from this cold. I maybe got three hours of sleep, because my evil immune system is kicking itself into high gear... causing my auto-immune problems :( My gallbladder was going nuts as soon as I got into bed. I'm staying at Jeff's aunt & uncle's place for the next week and a half while they're out of the country, so I'm at least able to minimize his exposure to this. Sounds like he's going to have to leave Riley with me, because she's keeping him awake all day since I'm not home to occupy her. Yesterday he had to facetime me to tell her to leave him alone so he can get his sleep... which surprisingly worked.
Going to take it easy and watch the Daytona practice trials today and try to finish another book. We *were* supposed to go to Yosemite on Monday, but there's no way I'll be able to handle it if I'm still sick.

Happy Saturday everyone!! A beautiful sunny day so far, but that can change quickly around here LOL Not much to do today a bit of :washing: and cleaning the bathrooms, but hopefully a relaxing weekend!

Laurie - You are lucky that your man loves to dance, mine rarely asks me when we are at a wedding or whatever and its usually me dragging him out onto the floor.

Nana Linda - Would love to see your bug do her ballet!! I miss those days when my DD was in tap and jazz, she was an amazing dancer, sadly now she can't dance without someone holding onto her :hurt: so not fair!! Opps now I'm sounding sorry for myself, I will stop :sorry: Enjoy Jesse's basketball game and hope the cooking fills your house with wonderful smells!!

Chris - Your son is doing a wonderful thing!! I know it must be scary for you though, but be proud of your young man, he's growing up to be a great guy!! Hope that you have a police free day :becky:

Nancy - sounds like a fun filled hockey weekend for you! We are very disappointed in those big bad Bruins losing their game last night!!! :pout:

Meg - Sorry that you have a cold!! Hope you feel better soon at least you will keep it to yourself being away from your MG. Take care of you!!

Well my stomach is growling, so I better get some breakfast in me. BTW... I had so much fun ordering a bunch of beautiful things for the store yesterday!! I think I am going to like this new adventure!! Have a creative day everyone!!

Nancy - I think the best part of tailgating would be the food!

Meg- hope you feel better soon

Nana- hope you get to take lots of pics at your events today!

Chris- yikes I would have been a mess!

Well Craig and I went out of town for the weekend. Get a call on my cell phone at 2:30AM. It's the kid. The new cop kid. Was just so excited he had his first "big thing" he had to call me and give me a blow by blow.. Just what every mom wants to hear at 2:30 in the morning. How he had to pursue the suspect on foot. Tackle him. Subdue him .......... Yep. Made my day. NOT! Then I could not get back to sleep so I did the next best thing--wake up Craig and tell him all about it!! I'm sure he appreciated that!

Had a late breakfast and just chilling out. Going to go out in a bit.

Chris- so proud of our son for doing the right thing. Hope that guy gets put behind bars!!

Nancy- have fun! I'm not much into the tailgating thing. Seems like the college kids really get into it.

Trudy- sounds like you are settling right into this job.

Nana- you deserve a medal. Raising your own and now the second batch. You amaze me.

Laurie- have fun dancing! I love dancing but my hobby and I don't seem to dance well together. Could be something to do with the height difference. He's only 15 inches taller than me.

Everyone have an enjoyable day. Let me see what mischief I can get into!

LaurieW

lOve the O!
Terry- my husband is taller than me- we have had our instructors give us ideas of how to deal with the height change. Love the story about your son- didn't he know that middle of night/early morning phone calls usually mean trouble??

Good Sunday Morning to you all. I have been up since 5, got out of bed at 6. My knees have been waking me up the last week or so. If its not one thing, its another.... sheesh.....

But at gives me some nice quiet time in the morning to enjoy my coffee so that is the good part of it.

I was able to get a lot of cleaning done yesterday so today I only have to work a bit more on that filing in my office then I want to scrap. Then it is off to bring Leah back home then the kids and I are going to my mom's for dinner and sleep over. The kids have their Lyme dr appt tomorrow and staying at my mom's makes the trip a bit easier.

I am w bit concerned about the appt. Both kids have been saying that they feel like they have symptoms coming back. Whenever I think we have this damn disease beat, at least for them, it just seems to bite me in the ass. Sorry for the language but it is just so frustrating and scary. I have to look at it though that even iuf the symptoms are back, there are not in the same horrible place that they were in a few years ago. But at the same time, I just want it over for them. Selfishly, if they get better and stay better, then that also give me hope for me and for Gary. If they can't beat it, how can we?

Nothing I can do about it anyway, it is what it is.....

What good stuff do all of you have happening today? Let me live a bit vicariously through you all! Anyone go out to eat? See a movie? Read a good book? tell me!! LOL

( I am not pushy or nosy am I? hahah!)

Hugs!

Laurie- what did you hubby think of Asian Fusion?

Nana- what did you cook? How was Bug at ballet?

Remember how I said a no-police involved day? Yesterday, while walking home from the park, Scott and his friends were asked by police if they had seen a girl who had been reported missing and was supposedly at a party a few blocks away. Ya can't escape them in this town! I hope that they found the girl safe and sound.

Good thing you went to the game and tailgated yesterday and not today, it got so cold and windy Nancy!! Enjoy your day of rest!

Meg ((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))) I can't imagine how sick you must get and how miserable it makes you feel. Hope that you feel better really soon. Too sweet about Riley! She is a mama's girl, isn;'t she??

Trudy- That must be so hard to see what your DD has lost. Its *not* fair. But it sounds like she has an amazing life and lots of love in it and that is what counts. ((((hugs))))
How much fun is it to shop with the store's money! Can you tell us what new trends are coming in??

terry! Ack! Yes, someone needs to tell your boy that middle of the night calls are heart attack material! :D But how amazing for him and it says a lot that he had to share it with you!!!

Linda S- I don't know whether it would be a good thing or horrible thing to have it rain on my last day in Paradise..... welcome back home and I hope that you already have your next vaca plans in your head. That always used to help me when we would leave Disney- knowing that we already had a goal to make it back.

NINA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi my sweetie!!!!!!!!!!

Gotta go, need more coffeeeeeee......

Nina, do you still make the best coffee ever? I bet you do! :D

Morning- my poor feet hurt- we truly danced the night away. The venue was an old/grand hotel- the Harding Hotel- president Harding was from this area- imagining what it must have been like. The top of the hotel, the rooms have been made into apartments for the elderly. The food was good, the music phenomenal for big band and one of the members gave us the history of every song they played. The owner is going to try to get this to be a regular event. Sadly next month I will be off to a conference the weekend they will be coming. Oh well. Chris- my hips and feet are bothering me today- go figure. I have cleaning and preparing for the day. My husband even ate peanut chicken wraps! Phylis- enjoy the grandmen they do sound cute!

Good morning - well it was total fun tailgaiting with the kids. But I am such a mom. Not sure they will ask me back. They were lighting the charcoal with lighter fluid and then when they did not catch they just pour on my fluid! I said "NOT FUNNY! DONT DO THAT!"
I have know a lot of these kids since they were in grade school even though they are now mid and late 30s. LOL And it was cold and windy! Then during the game there were kids near us so I had to make sure no cursing. My group was loud and at the beginning the kids in front of us were scared but soon they got in yelling too. But wow I was such a MOM! There were 16 of us as my hubby got sick and could not come. These kids are amazing with the food. Jalepeno poppers, brats, hot dogs, ribs and then chips etc and of course the drinks. They dont make me bring stuff as I get the tickets. My DIL and I drove out together and that was nice. I dont usually drive but love my Escape so it was a fun actually. Coming home my navigation was sending me through Manhattan so had to use iPhone to get me home. Actually my youngest drove home. He loves my Escape too! Notice I am not talking about the game. Devils forgot how to play and lost 5-1. I got a fantastic photo of goal 4 entering the Devils net LOL

Phylis those grandkids sound so cute. My boys love the air and space museum.

Chris good luck with the drs appts - maybe they are just feeling the winter doldrums. I think the police are always stopping kids that are alone at night.

Meg - hope you feel better it sucks being sick

Terry so glad that his first arrest went so well. Love that he had to call and tell you but those early morning calls are the pits.

Linda - glad your trip to Maui went so well - welcome back to the real world LOL

Have a great day all.

LaurieW

lOve the O!
Nancy- if your original navigation was through onstar and you did not specify turn by turn it goes to your vehicles navigation - mine sucks- it is wrong every time, but once I discovered turn by turn, so much easier and I like it because it is in the speedometer so I don't have to divert my eyes. It sounds like you had a fun time even if your team did not win.

Happy Sunday ladies!! It was a great day for us here on the West Coast! The sun was shining and MG and I went for a nice long walk. Got grocery shopping done and then I went to Cowichan Bay and bought my grandaughter's birthday gift. A Bamboletta Doll, we are fortunate that the store is right here in the area, because if you try to purchase one online, well lets just say, its nearly impossible. I really wanted to wait and take her to the store myself so she could pick out her own doll, but she won't be here until August and I wanted her to have something to open on her birthday. I will be scrapping a page hopefully later today with a pic of the doll so hopefully you can tell me if a did a good job of choosing the right one.

Well I hope to squeeze in some personals a bit later, right now I have to get some more coffee and get my :washing: finished so we can head out on a long a hike today. Have a great Sunday everyone!!!

LaurieW

Trudy - sounds like a wonderful gift- I am going to have to look up that type of doll. I hope you have a great hike!

Wow... yesterday! I was having some intense pain, mostly in my inner ear, sinuses, and neck. TMJ was definitely contributing, but it was mostly from the cold & congestion. I slept most of the day and still felt worse. Poor Jeff got to deal with uber cranky Meg in the morning, so when he woke up he went down the street and got me a giant order of Albondigas Soup for dinner & brought over our bottle of excedrin. Not supposed to take the stuff... but I was desperate... and it helped!!! I really think the soup helped more though, hehe :)
Much better today - no pain yet, just congestion. I tried waxing my eyebrows myself and failed miserably... maybe two hairs came off. I'm pretty desperate to get them done, but I don't want to get anyone sick. I got some work on RLS done, now time to finish that book I started yesterday!

Well I had a blast yesterday at the outlet mall. Just went to two stores--my fav is the Ann Taylor Store. Let's just say I got quite of few things and good thing I had an extra 20% off coupon!

Craig and I came home early today--got home around 11:30. Went to check on my 80 year old mom. she's not doing well today---experiencing some kind of pain in her lower back, groin, and down her right leg. She's been going to the doctor--I told her to go back on Monday. The poor thing can barely walk, cannot bend down. I'll be checking on her again in a couple of hours--mainly to unload her dishwasher and take her something to eat. Needless to say--I am worried.

Back here at the house for a couple of hours. Think I'll try and scrap a page.
