lOve the O!
Morning O fam! I have been up for a bit, even did a workout- before you think I am rocking it, I will tell you that I am letting the stress of moving get to me and eating things that do not give me energy and health (junk food) thus packing on a few extra pounds. The people buying our house are approved for their loan. The underwriters for ours need more info every day!! So I will prepare for them today and hope that next week we know the answers. Looks like we will be moving the after the first week we go live with a new system at work. That would be the week I switch to 3 ten hour days- so I will have 4 days in a row off and start out the first week in our new house- living at someone's for 2 nights a week to keep my job until I find one.

On the plus side as I side I watched mamma and twin deer eat in my backyard this am!

Hi Laurie! So happy to see you here! But I am very sorry to hear about the stresses. When we refi-ed it was horrific and we only had one loan to deal with. Hang in there and remember to breathe :)
And WTG for finding a plus side! That always helps me too. I saw the pics on FB, so pretty!!

Happy weekend!!! Yesterday felt like a Saturday all day to me and to Gary Very odd.
But here it is, a nice Saturday morning and it is supposed to be a beautiful day. I am going to do some yard work this morning. The lilies are about spent and need to be cleaned up. My morning glories are amazing right now, but they need some training. When I am done with that, I should try and get some photos of them. That will actually have to get done early, before they close up.

Zyrtec is helping Cait already and she is very very relieved. We have an appt with the dietitian on Tuesday and she is very cute and bubbly and hopefully will help Cait get on track. She has her "loosely" writing down what she eats each day so she has a better idea of what is going on. I saw her list from yesterday and I was shocked. Cait already warned me that she was not doing this as an eating disordered list, so at least I was prepared for it.
Scott seemed to have a good night at work. He has a bunch of regulars that come in that he talks too. One of them gave Scott duck eggs and a variety of hot peppers. They had been talking about peppers last week, comparing notes (Scott is obsessed with hot peppers and hot sauces) and are going to be trading the different peppers that they are growing. Too funny. Another regular customer invited Scott to hike with them, and he is getting to know our mayor very well.
Have any of you ever talked to a busboy, other than may I have some more water/bread/thank you? I haven't. Scott seems to be making nice contacts left and right. I am happy for him

What fun stuff do you all have going on today?
Aside from the morning yard work, I might need to do my long IV today. I was very shaky yesterday but I would rather do it tomorrow when it might be rainy. Cait is babysitting too so Nathan makes me laugh. Should be a good day!

nancy- ooooh, isn't today's weather here going to be absolutely fab!?!? I hope hat you are able to walk or bike or just relax. Oh wait- your wedding is today? *peeks at yesterdays thread* At night. Hope you get outside this morning then and you will have nice weather in the City. I hope you don't have to walk from the church to the reception in your heels. I lived in heels when I was younger- ran around in 5" spikes to classes, parties in college, everywhere. Now you can't get me in heels.
Have a wonderful time tonight and make sure that you have a photo taken of you and your hubby so we can see you all dolled up!!

I use WAZE for longer trips and once that I expect traffic on, but it sucks everything out of the phone battery, so I thought Google Maps would have been better. Next time I need directions, I will go back to WAZE.

Trudy- I hope that the fires and the smoke clears out ASAP. Any progress in the fires? So frightening. I saw a line that Bill Mahar said:
“[In California] we are begging El Nino to hit us. That is what it has come to. We are praying for one weather disaster to save us from the other weather disaster.”
---Bill Maher
Crazy!!!!!
Thank you for the good thoughts for Cait! Even better news too. Leah's mom is a Pharmacist at CVS and used her employee discount to get a big bottle of generic Zyrtec for me. If this had been a prescription, I could have gotten it for $1. Since it is OTC- it would have been $40 for one month of what she was Rx'd. The discount saved me $12. Arlene (Leah's mom) went out before work so she could give it to Scott to bring home. I love Leah and Arlene so much- I would be very happy to have them as permanent family. Not that I am pushing Scott to get married, but maybe in the future ;)

Shar- woohoo on Post Fasting Coffee!!!! And a huge double woo hoo for DDIL!!!!! That is awesome news!!!! Absolutely adorable about her DS!
ACK and yikes about the gal you knew RE: blind spots! I would be terrified to drive with her.
These fires are so heartbreaking. Like I said, I am a DD of a lifelong Firefighter and it breaks my heart to hear about the loss of three brave people.
I bet it is even better seeing a hard copy of the magazine and your work and letter in it! You rock!!!

Astrid- LOL!!! No worries about the days and dates and I 100% relate about the tiny numbers!

Off to get Cait up before Nathan gets here. Have a FABULOUS day!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning! Wow we are having another glorious day in NJ. Low humidity. Perfect day for a wedding. Yesterday was just getting in a walk but I did not get out until late because my sister called so late. But I did have a fun hockey day. LOL. On Friday's the NHL channel shows the Stanley Cup rising games. So they were showing the NJ Devils defeat of the Dallas Stars. The game went into 2OT and usually the game is so edited but this time they showed the whole game all 4 hrs. It was awesome. I am really getting ready for hockey. For the next week I will be helping my son with his dogs. I really do not understand how I came to be so involved in dog sitting. My DIL is off with her parents on a cruise so my son has all the dogs his two plus the ILs dog all of them are less than a year old. So I will be going over starting on Sunday to help monitor the dogs in the middle of the day and help wear them out. Luckily they are all small dogs. Crazy!

Chris so glad that Cait and her that medicine is helping so fast. So glad she is ready to go to a nutritionist. I love restaurants where you become a regular. This is awesome for Scott to be learning who the regulars are and getting those contacts is very important. And sounds like peppers for your next recipe.

Laurie I remember when buying a house was so much easier than it is now. Crazy. It took my son and DIL weeks because the bank kept asking for the same info. But it finally went through and I know it will work out for you too. It has to be calming to see a doe and her fawns. I think I would have taken 10 hrs work days to have 4 days off. Hope stress lessens soon.

Trudy and Sharron hope the fire season ends soon. I saw the news about the loss of the firefighters and it is so heart wrenching. So sad to lose so much for so many.

Sharron congrats on getting you hands on the magazine. So happy for you. So proud of you DDIL and laughed at what her son thinks is her accomplishment. I think that is pretty cool too to know all those secret ways around the building! How fun that your DH gets to watch golf.

On a happy note (I hope the link works if not go to CNN and search for bears in pool) I love this video of a mother bear and her 5 cubs in NJ going for a swim in a backyard pool.

Have a great day all!

The weather yesterday was absolute perfection for yard work. I think I was out there for about 2 hours. Mostly sitting, but still... I clipped down all of the lilies of the valley, they had all turned brown. Trimmed back gobs of mint that had gotten woody. Heh!! I thought I had gotten so much accomplished in those 2 hours, but when I write it down, not so much.

Right now the sun is shining, and I want to steam clean the LR. We are having all of the Campbell Clan, MIL/FIL, BIL/SIL and my nieces, up on Saturday and now that Jaida is having accidents in the house very rarely, it is time he get those spots deep cleaned. Low humidity again will make them dry pretty quickly.

Hope that all of you enjoy your day!

Nancy- how was the wedding? And more inspirational- how do your feet feel?? LOL ;) I hope that you took lots of pics-- of you too!
Only you would find old Stanley Cup games on TV- love it!! How many days until pre-season?
Good luck with the dog sitting too.
Scott made an omelet with the duck eggs, and declared that the customer's jalapenos were better than his, but his habeneros were better. He is going to bring some in next Friday since the man is there every Friday.

Sharron, Trudy, Jean, Laurie, Astrid-- and everyone else who pops in, have a wonderful day!!!!!!

good morning - The wedding and reception were lovely just as they should be. We used WAZE to get us to the church with was on the east side of midtown Manhattan. It was held at the St. Vartan Armenian Cathedral. It was beautiful obviously a lot was in another language but most was in English. The only thing was that we stood nearly 90% of the ceremony. And I am a staunch believer that photos or video during the ceremony is wrong. The photographers cameras and video equipment are totally disruptive to the quests trying themselves to see the ceremony. They had 4 photographers moving around during the ceremony. Now after that they can take all the photos and videos they want as can all the guests. So I did not take that many photos. The reception was held at the NY Athletic Club which is right across the street from Central Park. The Club is 21 stories and is gorgeous. We were on the 9th floor and it had a balcony and views of the Park. The weather was just perfect for being outside. And the food was delicious. We got to the reception with about an hour to use so we walked down to Columbus Circle and then over to Central Park. They have pedicabs and we were shocked at the price $5/3 min. They had awesome bands but way too loud. You could not talk during their playing. We did not leave until 10:30 and they were all going strong. We asked how they met and it was on Match.com. And the families were so perfect together. They are now living in Dayton. What a change for the bride from Brooklyn to the US midwest. In such a short time these have arrived as immigrants from Uzbekistan/Armenia/Egypt and now all of the speeches by the parents and maid of honor and best men all said how wonderful and grateful they are to now be Americans. Today is to walk and go over and take care of the dogs.

Chris is was a glorious day and so glad you got to enjoy being out doors. I heard on the news this am that we have hit a record for consecutive days with highs over 80 degrees I think it was 43. And they are saying all next week it will be over 80 but I don't mind I just don't like over 90.

Waving to everyone!
Have a great day!

Just popping in quickly to say Hi  having lots of fun with the Grands and now have to get ready for MIL's birthday lunch, she does not know that they are all here. Hope everyone has a fabulous Sunday!!
