Good Morning Ladies.... :) I am up bright and early for Football today!!! hoooo-RAH!!!! So I thought I would start us all off with some yummy mocha coffee!!!! Grab a cup and pull up a chair......tell us what you are all up to this weekend!!

I will be back after football for personals! Hope you all have a fab morning :)

Hi, I am up early too ... not because I want to be. A little someone gave me a wake up call at 5:30 am. Why on a Saturday?? Ugh - so we are watching the Wiggles, who I don't really like - I find them creepy, but he's happy, so that's what counts, right?

Kat - who are you rooting for today?

We are going to the National Book Festival today in DC, and I am really looking forward to it. :) Some really great authors will be there speaking and signing their books - I am hoping to see Jodi Picoult and Mary Jane Clark and Judy Blume.

Have a fab day.

Good morning ladies!!!!

I was up early too 6:30..it's 8 now...DH had to get his hair cut this morning at 8 o'clock....Cameran spent the night...go figure...he is not up yet!!! LOL....any other time he spends the night and we DON"T have to get up for anything...he is up at 6:30!!!!! I have been sleeping a little better lately...so on the weekends I like to sleep in until 8 if possible!!!

So this week....those Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks really cost me!! I feel guilty about spending money too often since I don't work...of course most of you have figured me out by now...I feel guilty about anything self indulgent!!! YES I KNOW!!! I shouldn't!!! BUT....I did get one yesterday and Thursday...in the late afternoon...so I didn't eat dinner either day....LOL...justification!!! after drinking them, I wasn't hungry...thank goodness...because who the heck knows how many calories are in those things!!! AS GOOD AS THEY ARE....A LOT I AM SURE!!!

Oh...I am rambling this morning!!!!

Good thing I called off the yardsale...it rained all day yesterday and is still raining today....so I am going to try again this coming weekend...my den is full of junk piled all around...so if it doesn't happen next weekend....it's going to goodwill!!

Well...I am going to drink my coffee....and call DH and tell him to pick up breakfast on his way home...hehehehehe!!! Bojangles sounds good...or maybe Krispy Kreme!!! What's your fave doughnut?? mine: Cinnamon covered apple filled!!! YUM!!!!

No big plans for me....hope you all have a great weekend!!!!!!!!

Hi ladies- really quick from me for noe- hope to be back soon.

I am recovering from a bad day yesterday ;)
Have a ton of work, inside outside and all around.

Love to you all!

ME- Jodie Picoult and Judy Blume how cool!!

Wow! ME..that sounds like a lot of fun! The book signing...not the Wiggles!

Chris, hope today is better!

Kat, I used to love Saturday morning football when Zeb played. Shaun's not showing any interest...we'll see.

Linda W...I like Krispy Cremes with the custard filling. So have him bring one home for me too please. :-)

Good morning ladies. I am also up way earlier than I'd like to be. It wasn't 5:30 but 6:30 is still pretty early for me. Addie woke up crying looking for her dad, but he's gone until tomorrow. I haven't heard from him yet. Hmmm... I may need to call him in a bit. He rode the motorcycle down to Portland to save on gas. I just get worried on his longer trips.

This weekend should be fun. I have to take Addie to the doctor to have a physical form filled out for her daycare. Then we have a birthday party to go to. That should be fun...it is about an hour away in bfe and it is a quad/tool party for a 2 year old. I think I am taking one of my neighbor's twins along to give her a bit of a break. Not sure which one I will be taking yet. They are both sweet. Then tomorrow I think my neighbor may be taking Ethan to a movie. She promised him a movie for his birthday but that was before she realized that she was going to have her 4 grandkids for the rest of eternity. I canot wait for them to have the hearing. Her daughter is acting horribly and making Cindi feel awful. Th etemporary order says she has to give her daughter visitation and phone calls but at the last visit her daughter assaulted her aunt with her son in her arms and during the phone calls she has just been sayiung horrible things to the kids. Everything will be figured out soon enough. She only has to deal with this for less than 2 weeks and then everything will get decided and figured out.

I think something is wrong with my cat. She uses the litter box but sometimes seems to miss (not sure how) and makes a mess. I think she is having some tummy issues. I need to take her in to the vet to make sure she is okay. Well, I guess that is about it. I've been promising some personals for days so...

Kat - a mocha sounds fabulous. I think I may very well need one of those. Enjoy your football.

ME - Enjoy to Book fest. That sounds awesome. I would love to meet Judy Blume. You don't lik ethe Wiggles, huh? Ethan used to love them too. We even went and saw them. I think they are cool. I like that they are just a group of dad's who thought there was nothing good on TV for their kids. But I do get the creepy vibe people get from them too. I hope they helped you get some more rest though.

LindaW - you think 2 lattes is a self-indulgence? I thinkuntil you have them daily you are in the clear and even then I would call them more of a necessity than an indulgence. But that is just me. :) I love getting coffee shop coffee. I have all the stuff to make them at home and never do. It is pretty bad. I hope you get those donuts. My faves is just the simple glazed donuts fresh out of the oven. Yummy. If I don't get them fresh I throw them in the microwave for about 10 seconds and they are almost as good as fresh. Mmmmmmm!! I hope your yardsale is a go next weekend and you can make some money off of your junk being someone else's treasure.

Chris - big hugs! I hope you have a calm and relaxing day today. Sorry you've had bad days this week.

Just doing a flyby!! I wanted to pose a question to ya'll. My neighbor came down today and told me that the boys have been waking him up at 5 am the past 3 years by waking up and playing in thier room. :o

I was kinda shocked cause I have asked the neighbors on every side of me if my kids are loud and they say no plus I rarely hear a peep from my neighbors. So I am switching my room with theirs so I am underneath him.

Question is: I want to get him an I am sorry card and a little gift. What should I do? A GC to a dining place, some chocolates, earplugs :p I feel so bad.

I will come back for personals in a bit.

ok here i go! lets see what u have been up to.

Mel- The book signing sounds like so much fun. I would love to meet those authors. Especially Judy Blume.

OMG LindaW. Now I have the munchies. Why oh why is there a Krispy Kreme on the way to my sisters. I need a chocolate glazed donut. And BTW the Pumpkin Spice Latte is about 350 calories. I think if you ask for it light it helps. I checked after I had one last week.

Chris- I hope u feel better. Rest up. I hope u did not work too hard today.

Clara- Hi!!
I use to always worry Mr Potts would wreck his bike and then he did. He was coming home from work at 7 am and he was 15 minutes late. When the phone rang I just knew. He was ok though. Luckily no cars hit him and he got away with two fingers ground down to the knuckles. ((shudder))

Ur poor neighbor. :( I wish I had a neighbor that would babysit my kids.

OOOH, EEEEK ME this is awesome!!!! I hope that you get a pic or 2 to scrap, I love all 3 of them :).

OMGosh so glad that's all he hurt! My DH and DS both ride and it scares me to death. I loved riding at first but for some reason the older I get the more it bothers me...LOL. Matter-of-fact DH and DS are off this wkend on a roadtrip with several other bikers, luckily this is a calm group, mostly older couples so they'll be taking it easy I hope. So far, just DS has had 2 accidents first one very minor, then he swerved to avoid a deer once and busted his wrist up pretty bad. Other than that we've been pretty lucky.

Wonder why your neighbor waited 3 yrs to tell you about your kids waking him? That's sweet you wanna get him a gift...I'd think a gc to a restaurant would be nice and thoughtful :).

Kat,hope the game goes great!!! Can't wait to hear all about it!!

Chris-((((hugs)))) try to rest sweetie, it'll all be there later, um...don't think about that though...put it in a little box in your mind :). Feel better!

Clara-I'm praying for your neighbor, I cannot imagine how tough this is for her and those poor kids! Your DH will be fine :).

Hi LindaS!!!

LindaW-no fair, we don't have a Krispy Kreme around here LOL, but my fave is chocolate covered, yum yum! And what's Bojangles?? other than a song? hehehe

Sooo DH and DS are off on a road trip with some other bikers, a nice calm group, very nice people :). I'm going to BBQ on the River here which is always fun...tons of BBQ(I'm not eating, that's what we had for lunch at work the other day when I got sick and just the thought of it makes me nauseous LOL) tons of people, a beer garden(that's where we'll be LOL), music(I wanted to go last night but was still sickly, one of our doctors is in a band and plays the sax, they are really good). It's bunches of fun...hopefully the rain will hold off.

Other than that things are pretty calm here. Davy's maybe got something wrong with her ears, I haven't figured it out yet. She doesn't appear to have any drainage from her ear but the fur in front of them, like above her eyes, keeps getting kind of gooey/sticky almost like it has hair gel or mousse in it...it dries and then you can rub it off and it has pieces of food in it. I don't know if maybe she's trying to clean her ears because they're bothering her or what....guess it's time for another trip to the vet LOL. I feel silly taking her when she appears perfectly healthy except for a sticky place above her eyes hahaha.

argh....ok....gotta vent.

I don't like talking on the phone. Can't stand it. 'specially to my DH. He just called to let me know they made it to their room. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad he called. But he wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. There he is blah, blah, blah, ramble and I'm trying to tell him something. Just argh. Then he gets mad at me and says I got him in a bad mood. When I call him it's the same thing. There's no 'hello' he just starts talking, nonstop...I mean, I call him and he starts talking and talking.........blah blah blah....drives me nuts!

I feel kinda sorry for the poor dears though...he forgot his full face helmet and his raingear...DS doesn't even own raingear. It rained on them the whole trip. Yuck. poor guys. Glad they made it safely :).

k I feel better :).

We have a friend who died in a crash and I just don't like it. We were storing a friend's ducati for awhile, which meant it needed ridden. I hated that. But now he drives a Gold wing so it is a big bike like a Harley, so more visable (nobody think I am even slightly comparing it to a Harley, just the size).

I also only really offer to take one of the kids along if it won't create too much work for me. I'm not big on babysitting. Derek is more of the baby sitter. But if she's taking Ethan to a movie the least I can do is hang out with the kids for a little bit.

Okay, so this makes me laugh because it is so backwards from most of the world where the women go blah blah blah while the guys are like...shut up already. LOL!!!

Hi ladies- it is Sunday almost 9 am... been up for a while checking through threads, doing my gratitudes and so on. Its all quiet in the house, everyone else is still asleep.

I have to learn how to take some deep breaths and not hold everything inside. Makes my head crazy when I do that.
Today I have to take some time for *me.* I have to or I will not be able to get through this week.

Scott's big meeting Child Study Team is Tuesday afternoon, and I am nervous. Things have not been improving, or they do but only for a short period of time. His lyme dr is out of the office until Oct 9, so I can't even get in touch with him until then. I tried and his receptionist said she'll pass the info along as soon as she can. A cognitive therapist has been assigned to him, but she has no openings. She said that she will touch base next week and hopefully have some more info for me. It is just a lot on my plate with him right now.

To top it all, I freaked out completely about the TREP$ workshop I am chairing. There is sooooo much work to do for it. The PTA wanted to hold the Marketplace in December, but I don't think that there is any way anyone (even Sally!! LOLOLOL!) could pull it off in 2 months. So after busting my butt on Fri and Sat and stressing out 110%, I think I am going to have to tell the PTA that it will have to wait until the spring.

My family has to be my priority, and between the stuff with Scott, Gary's Disability hearing and my own health... I have to learn to take care of us.

Having that off my head, for now, is going to be huge weight off me. If anyone has an issue, well, I will just have to hand the info over to them and say "have at it." LOL

personals and catching up:

Hi Kat!! You sound so cheery!! How was Nick's football??

ME- the Book fest sounds so awesome!! My BFF met Jodie P at a book signing in NJ and siad that she was just as wonderful and sweet IRL as you would imagine. My BFF has a situation/choice similar to what was discussed in Handle with Care and emailed her about how much the book touched her. Jodie rote a long, personal letter back to her. Just a great woman and author!

Linda W- Why is that?? It seems to be some weird law with kids that they won't get up for school, but weekends, they have to be awake even earlier!
You are making me drool over your lattes and donuts- and yes-- you do deserve them :)

Hi Linda S!!

Clara- I am soooooo with ya on the anti-anxiety meds!! Saw on FB that Derek got to his destination safe- that is always good. :)
I am sad to hear that your freinds DD is being so mean and thoughtless. I don't understand how a mom can be like that makes my head and heart to think about ti.
How is your cat?

Lori- I am with Dawn -- why did your neighbor wait so long? How loud can your kids be? A GC to a local restaurant sounds really nice.

Dawn-- I don't think I could ride with Gary any more - even if we did get the bike running again. I was in one accident on one years ago, and he dumped his twice (dang gravel!) Luckily none of them were major. By uncle dropped his bike turning into his driveway when I was 10- completely smashed his knee where they thought he might loose his leg. But he did recover thankfully.
I still don't understand the "helmet optional laws." It freaks me out when I see people in PA w/o one on. Personally I like my brains, as messed up as they are, *in* my skull!

OUCH!!! Rain on a bike hurts!!!! LOL about the phone, I hate talking on the phone too- much happier to email ;)

Ok, goota hit the shower- my mom and brother are coming up at noon and I need to get some work done before then.

have a fab day!

So glad u are sorting through what u can and cant do right now, Chris.
I think taking a ME day or some ME time to get ready for the week is a great idea and i hope u manage it today. ((big hugs))

Aaaaaaaah!! The kids are making me crazy...sort of. Addie is in a great mood and being cute but Ethan is tired and in a bad mood. Addie is running around the house naked and asked Ethan to help. She doesn't really want his help just to hang out with him but he keeps running out saying she doesn't want anything not understanding she just wants to be with him. Ugh!! I think today will definately be a nap day for him. I hope his mood improves so we can all have a good day without any silly fits.

Chris - big hugs. I hate days when I just realize I am overwhelmed and that you don't have more days like that is amazing. The stuff going on in your world would be overwhelming to anybody. I agree. If the Trep$ stuff is too much to handle pass it on. Do you need so big squeezy pop your eyes out of your head hugs?? I'm good at that!! Love you girl!!!

Ah Chris. You can only do what you can do. You can only do what you can do. You can only do what you can do. Take a deep breath. Repeat!

Can you tell that I've been telling myself this? I'm really stressing right now. Shaun had two yellow days last week...and one of them should have been a red day. The first day the recess teacher said that Shaun had held up his middle finger to someone. Shaun hasn't ever seen that behavior here...I fear that he might have seen someone on the playground do that to him and he repeated the behavior. Then, the next day, he pushed someone off the chair in his class. That behavior doesn't surprise me. He is still working through so many anger issues.

So Monday morning, I have meetings at work on how we can improve the culture. I leave work at noon to go with Mom to the surgeon. I come home, take Sydney to gymnastics and work on homework. Considering that the kids are kdg and 1st grade, we have lots of homework I think.

Then Tuesday morning, I go to school early in the morning to meet with Shaun's teacher before rushing to work for the day. I don't know whether Mom will have surgery this week or next. I'm filing for intermittent FMLA so that I know that I can be with her as much as necessary.

Ah Linda. You can only do what you can do. You can only do what you can do. You can only do what you can do. Take a deep breath. Repeat!
