I am up late because I just can't stop scrapping!!!! *LOL* I am in a scrapping fever!!! Unfortunately being so rusty it's taking me an hour for each layout. I am soooo obessessing about everything. This happen to you? Tomorrow I decided I would for the first hour am going to lift all those wonderful layouts in my "favorite" folder...and see how many I can do!! Wish me luck!!

We have phase 1 of the pool totally in progress here. Sand came.....oh my word did Nick have a blast watching the sand being dumped from the truck! I let him go play in the sand pile for the rest of the day because seriously this kid has been cooped up for over 2 weeks He had a BLAST!!!
We moved 3/4 of the sand to where we are putting the pool...Yikes that was a chore and a half

Tomorrow Phase 2 - finish sand - level and then hopefully filling pool!! Maybe Sunday we can swim?? That's about it for me!

Oh Kat- I am so happy for you to have some time back to scrap- I guess this means Nick is finally starting to feel better? I really really hope so! And I hope that everything goes great w/ the pool!!

I have to b**** for a minute about the weather here. It is making me ca-ray-zeeeeee! Yesterday was a total bust. Rainy in the morning, cleared up just enough at lunchtime to think we could make it to the lake, then it rained.Again. Went to the movies instead (Night at the Museum- cute!) and then it poured and poured. I didn't even want to go out for dinner. We were going to go to the local pizza place, but ended up having it delivered.

Today looks like it is going to be gorgeous- but no lake for us- I have to work this morning, since I missed the last 2 days. Cait has a b-day party this afternoon. While she is there, I am going to go to SoulShine and see about getting my F-W stuff in for consignment. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day all aorund.

Thanks so much for all of the b-day wishes! Have to admit as far as b-days go, it kinda sucked! LOL Oh well, not a big deal.... To quote my fav heroine, Tomorrow is another day.

Sara- it kinda seems that I have figurative and literal clouds over me ATM, doesn't it hahah! I have to find away to chase them away

LindaW- Its funny how your body does adapt to all kinds of crazy situations. But just make sure that you aren't pushing yourself too much. I mean, you don't want to fall asleep while you are on the computer or anything heheh! I love what Cameran said- how funny!! What a cute kid he is!

LindaP- just remember, don't listen to me for you "what day is it?" info! I haven't changed a bit since you were gone
Oh you rock as a mom! I remember how much I missed my mom's cooking (or anything other than boxed mac and cheese) and how she would cook for me when I came back for the break. That is so awesome! The quarry days sound like fun too- I know scott would love that.

Sara- wow, you got so much done! I am going to have to call you Sally #2! Good luck with your SIL/MIL.

Hang in there, enjoy the weekend and give your kiddos extra snuggles- that always makes me feel better.

Hi there ladies....It is Saturday...and I have NO kids here..WOW! I am not babysitting any this weekend....(I don't like the word babysitting about my DGC's...cause it's not like that for me!!!) I know my DD's didn't really think about it...but my anniv. is tomorrow, so it works out...we are going out tonight...we haven't agreed on where...but I am choosing Aubuello's...mainly because we haven't been there in about a year, and they make a sangria smoothie type drink that's big enough for ALL of us!!. Tomorrow is Sharon's baby shower at her IL's...she would die if I didn't go with her!! Her SIL is the worst b***h in the world!! She is a CONTROL freak bigtime..my DD didn't see it in the beginning, and somehow she managed to take over the whole wedding when DD got married...I am her MOTHER...I was suppose to do that stuff....DD was mad at me at the time because I called her out on it and she kept saying it was just who she was and she just likes to be nice...don't worry about it, you don't have to do anything this way!....That's CRAP....a mother WANTS to do her daughter's wedding....so I DID ABSOLUTELY NOTHING for her wedding...Okay...I am not holding any resentment over this....Ha!! of course DD KNOWS now that MOM always knows what she is talking about!! SIL is not her fav person anymore!! I have more stories about her ...I will share another time (you won't even believe when I tell you!!)

Anyway...I am doing her big baby shower the 1st of August...YAY!!

Kat....the pool sounds Fab...and I am glad Nick felt better so he could play in the sand...boys love to play in a pile of "whatever"....AWE...you are sweet to have muffins for us!! WooHoo!!!! My favorite day of the week has arrived!!!!! (yup, I love my exclamations *G*) I'm off to a pool party today, been looking forward to that all week. DH is not going with me so I can be my complete and total bubbly self LOL. He's kind of a stick in the mud and doesn't like parties, doesn't like me talking to guys(no single guys there duh), I like to joke, carry on, just be my goofy self and he's always trying to "calm me down". He thinks when I act like that it means I'm tipsy, everyone always tries to explain to him I'm always like that, he just doesn't get it. I think y'all know enough of me and the way I word myself to know I like to have fun LOL. I mean, I'm not overly loud, not removing articles of clothing, not being embarrassing (well, other than that one time LOL), just not sitting in the corner by myself (like him) not talking. That's one of our major differences. I try hard to overlook it. I always invite him and pray he says no or drives separate when we go somewhere like this . When he and I got together I was extremely shy and I did basically sit in the corner and not talk. I have blossomed since then. He sees that as a bad thing in some ways hahaha. I see it as a major improvement . I'm lucky at least that he doesn't mind that I go out with my friends and to parties like this one...kids will be there so it's not like it will be this big, wild drunkfest. Anyhow......enough of that. I'm gonna have fun in the sun! Probably get sunburned and take some pics of the fun for some layouts! What's everyone else doing this weekend?

So here are my do-todays today...I have to get my girls ready for their play performance today; go to the play at 2ish (luckily Mr Gorgeous is going to open up the church for the theatre company for me...i've been doing it for two weeks!!); then I rush home, grab a bite and then go to a gig downtown with a friend; then I'll come back home and SCRAP!!! After cora's play today, my family is going to the cast party at a restaurant and then running over to my niece's play, Beauty and the Beast. It should be fun!!

Tomorrow we are going to church, coming home and swimming with my sil and bro and my sil's "Little Sister", maybe watching the videos of my neice's show that she is performing at the same time as cora's and watching cora's show (for my neice to see it! LOL), then i'm running off to another gig tomorrow night. I'm trying to earn some Alaska money!! yike!! it's wearing me out!!! and tomorrow night's gig is three hours - wedding outside (at 6:30pm - hopefully we won't die of heat!!) and reception inside. It's days like this that I remember why I say no all the time to gigs!!

So my weekend is planned...*sigh* can't wait to scrap tonight, tho!!

I pray everyone has a "filled with fun" weekend, too!!

Kat...only advice I have to keep it going is to ALWAYS find some "US" time and learn to love his faults as much as his attributes!! WE have always complimented each other so well...when I am on a tirade...he stays calm and helps me deal, or the other way around....I freak at the Big problems, and he doesn't and He freaks at the little stuff...and I don't...that helps a lot!! One of my FAV things to do is look at pics from the "beginning" and compare to NOW...and realize how much we have grown together!! and I always say..."D*** we still look good together!!" HA! Oh no...too much advice..LOL...I am bad about that!!

I've got a lot of house cleaning to do tomorrow and the rest of the week since we leave Thursday afternoon for our trip to Hungry Mother State Park in Marion, VA... my neighbor is taking care of Bailey and Darwin for me...

I cleaned out the weeds around my azalea today... Gabe desperately needs to mow... maybe while his ear is stopped up is a good time to do it LOL

Good Sunday Morning Ladies (Night Ona)....

Sandra....you have been BUSY!! DH should wear earplugs to mow!! Mine has a little hearing loss, and we have spent a bit of time at the ENT's and have learned quite a bit about the high decimal noise...and ear infections and mowing are not a good mix!!! He said that the lawn mower is one of the worst things ever!! of course, shooting guns is the WORST...and that is probably the cause of DH's loss...he's a hunter. FINGERS CROSSED for the interview!! Hope you enjoy your trip to the state park....that's only a little over an hour from us...we have been there many times....LOVE IT!!

Well..we ended up at Abuello's last night...figured we would!! He never really argues with where I want to go out to!! I had the Fajita el Horno...YUMMMMMY....and the Sangria swirl...MUCHO sized....(it's a half sangria half margarita) really YUUUUMMMMMYYYY!! afterwards DH asked if I wanted to go to the Mall...I said ...uuhhmmmmm..YEAH! We really don't have the money to be shopping...cause we have been pinching every penny to go on a small Vacation in next week. But we did find some SALES...we both got a pair of jeans in GAP for $20 (each)...that's cheap for them and they last forever!! picked up a couple of T's on sale for $5...my kind of prices....I just don't ever shop anymore (no $$$) and I never go out that much....VS had a swimsuit sale last week, I ordered Bathing suit for $24 plus free shipping...WOW...they spend more than that on the freaking catalogues they send to me....So that's about all I need to go...We are taking Cameran with us this year...since his Mommy is all "Fat Pregnant and Miserable"...they aren't going anywhere at all, and she doesn't have a sitter since she took him out of daycare for Kinder-Camp...so he's going with us!! We are going to Pigeon Forge...Dollywood and SplashCountry...and a quick visit to my step daughter's (she's about an hour from PF)...we will be gone for 4 days...We usually use our tax return for Vacation...but had to do about $1000 worth of work to my car this year (mostly maintenance)....It's 9 years old...but it's a HONDA *YAY) and I have about 9 more years to drive it!!! I don't run around a lot any more....so only have 90K miles on it. Okay...I have really rambled today about the most random things...GEEZ....tell me to shut up!!

I gotta drink my coffee now, and get ready for the baby shower...it's at 11:00 this morning (kind of odd time 11am on a Sunday)....oh well...gotta go for DD...and my new DGD (if I haven't told ya..it's a girl and her name is going to be Savannah Grace)....

Happy Weekend everyone! I spent yesterday in the garden pulling weeds and working. I'm a little sun burned and sore today I go out there with the intent to just check things out and come back to the house. Once I get in there and see an offending weed, it gets pulled, as do its neighbors. Before I know it, two hours have passed and there I am, no sun screen and pink shoulders.
We went out with friends last night. We had a good dinner and then karaoke. No, Mr. Wonderful HATES karaoke, but my girlfriend and I love it. We sang quite a bit, but the place was super crowded and too smoky so it was a relatively early night.
I've got laundry to do today and not sure what else. I do think I'll be staying out of the sun though!

good afternoon! I've been catching up on laundry today... with us leaving for Hungry Mother State Park on Thursday and the kids going to my mother-in-law's on Sunday, I needed to make sure we had plenty of clothes, plus I had to make the kids clean up which they hate... I also got pics of the kids and a pic of some of Daddy's brothers and sisters posted on my facebook today too... other than that there's not much going on around here...

Yay Chris!!!! Sunshine and the lake together finally!!!!

O.k. I am pooped! We've had a whirlwind weekend and I'm finally plopping down to relax. I did get on the computer last night and chatted a little with Sally while she scrapped, but I just looked for website templates for one of my SIL. Even though I have some awesome pics to scrap!

Here's a run down of the weekend. Dinner Friday night - was mostly a good time. Apparently, the in-laws were trying to get mad at one of DH's brother and his wife for not offering to help, but the bad SIL just ignored the emails that were sent. I think most of that is blown over, but at some point, I think a family meeting is going to be necessary to deal with it all because everyone is pissy. We got home late. Saturday I got my hair done (just trimmed up, colored, and highlighted), then we got to the in-laws around 10 a.m. We had a full day of activities. We had an inflatable bouncer, tie-dye, water play, coloring, crafts, bubbles....and a ton of food. We left around 8:30 p.m. This morning we went to brunch around 10 a.m. (after sleeping in) and wrapped things up. Then I had a baby shower to go straight to. Finally I'm home and about to pop from all the food I've eaten. When I came home, I had a little surprise...we have butterflies!! They emerged today while we were gone. I'm a little sad we missed that, but they are super cool. Now I need to look at all the pics I've taken. =) Ok. Let me catch up with everyone....

Kat - Glad you've got some scrapping done and that Nick is feeling better. How did the pool turn out!!??

Chris - I'm sorry your bday stunk, but maybe today will make up for it. =)

Sandra - I'm so sorry that job isn't for you. I hope the other one is available for you soon!

Andrea - If I hadn't eaten so much this weekend, I would say, MMMMM brownie and bacon (though not together)....But right now I think I'm going to explode, so I can't even think about it.

That car place is crazyyyy. You would think that I would have learned by now to start taking names of people that I talk to, but I always forget and then end up in a bad situation. I'm glad you stood up for yourself.

LindaW - I hope you had a fun night!! I'm totally with you on the SIL thing. =)

Dawn - I hope you had fun at your concert. I'm also with you on the DH being a little bit of a party pooper. At least yourse will go out with you. Mine usually won't even do that. I even asked last night if he wanted to go downstairs and play pool and he said no. How boring!

Sally - I'm glad you got your pages done last night. They were fabulous. Did you watch the clip with the ventriloquist? It's really good.

All you girls with green thumbs make me envious. I so can't grown things.

Ugh, you've gotta be kidding me!!!! I had a whole post typed and then my computer burped and it dissappeared! Rest assured I was charming, witty and supportive of all of you but now I'm just grouchy!! BLAH!

Anyway, I'm just going to give my news now and try again tomorrow. LOL Guess who's preggers at age 40? Yep, ME!!! Now I know why I can't get over this danged "flu" and why I've had such mood swings. Man, I'm beat. But at least now I know what's going on, and I can start eating right and taking my vitamins and all should get better. Plus, we all know it's better after the first trimester, right? That can't be far off.
