Good morning to everyone. I am not going to complain about my weather at all today. I am not even going to think about it. As of right now, it looks like Ian has tracked east and is or will soon be a Cat 4. My stomach is in knots for all of you in the area.
I know that it might be hard to get online, but if any of you FL ladies can pop in and let us know that you are safe, I would appreciate it. TY!

Meanwhile back in NJ, I am trying to not stress over Caitlyn. She saw a rheumatologist a few weeks ago to figure out what is causing the non-stop hives, spontaneous urticaria in medical terms. The allergist/immunologist was at a dead end after 6 years. The rheumatologist is sending her to a dermatologist to do a biopsy of the hives. She had to be off of the Zyrtec for 7 days before the appt which is tomorrow. She tried last week and ended up breaking out in random hives within 24 hours. She stopped Zytec again Monday night and her poor face/lip is so swollen. Looks like someone punched her. Of course, she has a full day of back-to-back appts at work today (scheduling begins soon) and she knows it's going to be miserable.
(If she doesn't get this job I am going to be soooooo upset, she has gone over and above or whatever the saying is for it. We were talking yesterday and we are both *assuming* she will get called in for an interview-- no guarantee that is going to even happen, ahhhh!!!)

I had a huge to-do list today, a lot of it is little silly stuff but I need to get it done.

Wishing everyone the best!

@LSlycord I had to scroll down to see if there was any update from you and I see that there is. I have been scanning the FL maps and it's a giant mess, isn't it? I am glad that Syd is home with you. Was her friend able to get a flight out? I have every finger and toe crossed that your power stays on and that you just get bonus time with the family
Also-- big sigh of relief that Andie is better. I wonder if she is a little depressed with Syd being gone? Ray was depressed after Harley died and was generally lethargic and her fur got very greasy. Once we got J, she turned around 100%. It will be interesting to see if anything changes with Syd being home
As for this stage of motherhood, you got this! Not for the faint of heart however LOL
We found a shirt for Gary within 5 minutes. There was only one black one. Made it easy!! Then we spent another half an hour wandering after Caitlyn who had to (re)inspect every last Halloween decoration. She bought another spooky cake plate that matches her spooky dishes. *eye roll*

@vickyday Do you get a pang when you throw out the "meaningless" photos? I do even if I know they are just taking up space.
You are really doing a great job with your heritage LOs

@bcgal00 That's a bummer that you didn't get the dogs to swim in the lake but they seem just as happy splashing in the stream :D
OMG!!!! That is horrific what happened to your friend!!! Did she report it to the police? Bear spray is a good idea. Caitlyn has pepper spray and those metal cat ears punchy-thingies (sorry I can't think of the word!) on her keychain just in case

@Cherylndesigns gentle hugs to you, did you sleep better last night?
I am glad that you know what to do when the cramps hit but what a literal pain to wait for the meds to kick in :(
How is Steph doing with hurricane prep? That is one "good" thing about hurricanes, there is usually a good amount of prep time. That's why tornados freak me out- there is no warning!

@BrightEyes I saw you posted that the shot is kicking your butt again. Soooo sorry to hear that but at least you seem to be stocked up on books and movies to keep you occupied. Feel better soon!

Oh, you are SOO sweet! #kiss
I'm perfectly fine, this was the best year in my life! I'm just very overwhelmed, some days looks like only work. It tooks lots of work to can finance life that feels perfect. When/if I come back to scraping I'll have to introduce myself again, as you would be probably forgotten me. :p

@felis-- I keep meaning to PM her and then I lose track of it

@felis is doing a lot of crochet (but not having an account, don't see any details or dates.)

Really a lot! It's fascinating how fast I found amigurumi group that recognize me and they included me in their club and events.
I've been scraping for more than 5 years without to be invited as a CT member or Cheery O, which was a source of insecure and disappointment. It's really heartwarming to see that some of you still think of me, it means the world to me! Have an awesome autumn to all at the Daily Ooos
and all the best!
Lots of hugs and kisses!

Good morning. Sydney and Jianna (her roommate) made it home last night in time for supper so now everyone is "hunkered down". Her friend Bryan's flight got canceled right before they were ready to leave so he stayed in Gainesville. I told her that he could come and stay here but he was happy to be staying at school. It definitely improves Andie's mood when Sydney gets home. Hayden slept with Syd last night but Andie slept with us. However, when I got up, Andie went to Sydney's door and when I let her in she jumped up on the bed beside Sydney and plopped down so that she was touching her. Very sweet.

It's very gray here this morning. Looks more like evening right before the sun sets. I'm sitting on the lanai and the trees behind the house are starting to sway just a bit. There are a few raindrops falling in the pool. It's 73* and very cool. If I didn't know what was coming, it would be quite nice.

We are pretty safe here. Winds may get to 50 mph, could spin up a few tornadoes and we will probably get rain 12-18 inches. I'll try to keep you all up to date.

@felis oh it is soooo good to see you here! And what an outstanding thing to hear that you are having your best day ever! And, don't you worry...there will be plenty of us who won't need to be introduced to you again whenever you come back to scrapping! #clap #kiss

Woke up at 4AM feeling lousy. Drank some water then popped in to post the MIA thread. Crawled back in bed - huddled with a heavy chenille robe on and fell back asleep for 3 hours. I didn't take pain meds as I didn't feel like eating anything then. Need to take the meds now that I have something in the tummy. Not sure when I will be here... maybe a few days.

Yes, Chris.. knew I would be down so stocked up on books/movies - that will keep me occupied once the headache has eased off.

Good morning all. I'm a wreck this morning and can't sleep any longer. The hurricane is looking bad and Ft. Myers is still in line for a potential direct hit. I'm so worried about Steph and Asher! They're with friends as of today, because their condo is very close to the beach. The news people have been at Ft. Myers Beach a LOT and the weather people say this could be the worst storm FL has ever gotten. Their condo is right on the border of FT Myers Beach - too close for comfort. I've been on the phone with Steph ever since I got up. There are lots of power outages already and they're bracing for a bad storm! The other barrier islands (Sanibel and Captive) will be hit bad - they're about at sea level right now. Cape Coral is already out of power.

'Linda @LSlycord I hope you don't get the full force of this storm. They were talking last night that the whole state might be hit! It's supposed to go across the state! Such a sweet story about Andie - dogs are the best. I'm so glad your kids are home and that the friend of Syd's also came with her. The first hurricane we went through - we invited all of Steph's friends, who didn't have anyplace to go - to stay with us. The guys all helped Chuck cover the windows and we had a hurricane party. That sounds irreverent, but that's Florida! We had so many kids in our house all night. The storm wasn't as bad as they predicted, but you never know. I'm so sorry to hear about Caitlin. Is that a result of all the other problems you've all had? I saw rheumatology and I wondered. I know you have problems with that. I'm sorry, I'm blanking out right now about what you all had. Just a little spacey here.

Felis @felis it's SO good to see you in here, Love!!! I've missed you and so happy things are good with you. I get to see you on IG, but I miss you popping in here! Hugs to you, Sweetie.

I'm going to stop spreading my "cheer" now and go and worry. I'm a world class worrier, anyway. If any of you want me to worry about anything, ever, just let me know. If I'm not worrying about something, I worry because I'm not worrying about something. BWAHAHA

On that note - love and hugs to all.

Chris @faerywings - I know what to do about my leg cramps - they're SO bad - I just have to let them wear off. Does Gary get that? I know he has Restless body. I think they might go with the territory. Stress brings mine on I'm convinced. I've been stressed out over the hurricane for days.

((hugs)) @BrightEyes. Glad that you got some good books and movies while you get to feeling better from the danged booster. But, if it keeps us safe from Covid, that's definitely worthwhile!

@Cherylndesigns I am so thinking about Steph and Asher this morning. Hoping that they can get to the friends house and then settle in AFTER they let you know that they are ok! Sorry to hear about the restless night. Those cramps sound really painful!

@faerywings I am so sorry to hear about Cait's allergies. Shaun had to go off Zyrtec for allergy testing a couple of times and boy is that miserable. Something last night set him off even with the Zyrtec---don't know what it was. Was almost wondering if it was the drop in the air pressure. Anyway, I'm sure that she is miserable and that is without the stress of a full day of appointments. I hope that they can find something with the hives.

YES! It is so hard to do. I look at them and say, "Maybe I could use them in scrapbooking with a very muted background and then place the smaller, clearer photo in the foreground in frames....." I should scan them for my purposes and pitch them for the sake of the kids, LOL! Still hard to do!

@Cherylndesigns I see we posted at the same time. I can't tell you how sorry I am that Steph and Asher are in the path of the hit, I am just as sorry that you are going through it from a distance. Who knows, maybe this will be the thing that gets them all to move up to you! Praying! Please keep us posted.

Thanks so much, Linda! I just hate it because we aren't there with them. This is the first hurricane she'll have to go through without us and she's not married anymore, so she's having some big fears - both now and the what if's afterwards. As you know, it's very nerve wracking when a hurricane is coming. I'm worried because all I hear if "Ft. Myers" and Ft. Myers Beach". UGH

Good morning ladies. Today is chores and dog park. I'm tired so won't push myself too hard. I didn't sleep well so might need a nap later. D is getting his eye exam today so will be able to order new glasses. Wearing his old ones in the meantime isn't good b/c the prescription is different.

I watched the first two episodes of 911 last night. Love that show. Tonight we'll watch the first episodes of Masked Singer.

Maybe I'll make some blueberry muffins later to have for lunch with some yogurt.

That'll be the extend of my energy today :)

@faerywings Glad you found clothes for G and poor C, I hope they get to the bottom of the hives.

@felis So nice to hear from you.

Hope everyone and their loved ones stay safe with the weather. So scary.

Time to get down on the floor for some stretches and doggy playtime.

I couldn't get one done last night. I worked on pictures until 2 a.m. and just had to quit and go to bed. I'm working on another one now, however, before I get started with the scanning again.......after lunch! ;)
