The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
aaaaaahhhhhhhh-choooooooooooooooo!
Allergy season has begun and I have to say, it is not the best thing in the world to have an itchy, runny nose while wearing a mask ;)
At least I don't have to wear one for long periods of time.

We had a nice time with Caitlyn yesterday, she came in before I went to bed to say thank you for everything. Gave me some really big hugs. That is making me happy still. I know, I say it *all* the time, but I have great kids.
Did I do anything else yesterday? Made bread. That was really good. :hungry:
I know one thing that took me a longer time than it should have. I am writing letters through a voting organization to "irregular" voters- registered voters that don't vote in every election. The letters have to be non-partisan and I needed to write a couple of sentences why voting is important to me and to encourage them to vote. I struggled with it, wrote a short paragraph in Google Docs, emailed it to the family, and gave them editing permission.
That in itself was hysterical. The kids were editing at the same time and I was watching them add comments at the bottom. These were not grammatical changes but a conversation going back and forth between the two of them which included some name-calling and invoked Scott's pirate persona- Captain Greasy Beard. :pound::yarpirate

They did correct a few typos and added some punctuation. I started to write out the first letter and realized that I didn't have enough room, even though I had printed everything as small as I legibly could. I had to break it into two parts. I am not sure if I was "supposed" to do that, but it is done.
I have a few more to do.

hahah! I just looked out my window and the skeleton band is coming together!

No major plans today other than run down to pick up Caitlyn's contact. She has internship meetings all day to I offered to do it. Might be nice to see something other than these 4 walls!
Wishing you all a fantasic day!

kay- what in the world is going on with your computer? I think that reading a book instead was a good decision, especially for your BP!
How did it work yesterday? When my computer was locking up on me, I would change/add one thing to a LO and have to save after every darn time. Became obsessive but had lost too many good LOs.

Jean- I asked what she thought of her O-Grandmas and she *loves* it! She gets such a kick out of hearing about you all and appreciates that you care about her too.
I will def. send you some pictures of Rita. Scott thinks that is so cool. He says it willmake Rita "happy" too. We joke about how some days she looks happy and some days she is depressed- funny to us since obviously tarantulas do not have emotions (at least that we know of ;) )

Trudy- How did everything work out with the update from SIL? Is everyone, including the Drs, all on the same page? I hope so otherwise, it will be much harder to make a treatment plan. I don't envy you at all. :(
Sending hugs-- and patience!

Cheryl- I am LMBO at the visual I have of you walking around with your boots tied together! You must have such a close relationship with your grandkids. I do get sad when I think I won't have any, but who knows, maybe that will change someday. (My kids have both medical and philosophical reservations about having kids and I have learned to respect it even if I am disappointed)
I have to be honest. I am still waiting for Trudy to officially adopt me- I need the healthcare that Canada offers but if that falls through, I would be a great asset to your ranch- I will adopt and love all of the animals and we would have a blast crafting together.
Trudy.... have you made up your mind yet???? *taptaptap*

Hey Nancy! Hope you are ok, and Felis and Rae and everyone-- sending hugs to you all tyoo!

Morning ladies... It is soggy wet here this morning! :rain: all the rest of the week and the weekend too. We might have to start building an Ark LOL. It's good though we sure needed the rain. So no hike for me today and I doubt that there will be anyone hiking in this rain and wind. Well the phone conference went well for MIL and FIL and SIL Linda filled us in on everything as she recorded the whole thing. FIL kept interrupting the doctor and telling him things that were exaggerated and the doctor had to tell him to please be quiet until he was done talking :mmph: I am more worried about him than MIL right now! He kept telling us that the call was coming from a Neurologist in Victoria, when actually it was a geriatric dr. from Naniamo. Anyway... The doctor is concerned that her BP is low and that may be the cause of her being light headed. She will be getting a call from the Hospital for her to go in to be fitted with a halter heart monitor. This doctor said that he wants her to stop taking her blood thinner medication after 30 days (October 3rd) and to continue with a baby aspirin daily. He said no further tests necessary (such as an MRI) unless there is any significant changes. She is in good spirits and despite her overall weakness she continues to inspire and carry on. However I really believe that FIL needs to be tested for dementia he is a changed man and DH noticed many things that were off about him when we were there the other day. Ohhh the joys of getting older!! Oh and to top the day off, my oven died  It's just over a year old!!!! I baked mini banana loves in the afternoon and then started to cook my zucchini noodles for supper and one min it was working and the next I looked to see how much time was left and the screen was black, no power, nothing! DH thought we blew a fuse, but nope and everything else in the kitchen is working. So I guess here we go again with calling a repair man etc. At least it should be covered by warranty right?? I really think that there is something wrong with the electrical workings in this house!! :rollpin: Well at least I have my toaster oven and a crockpot if needed.

Chris - Thanks for the hugs and the extra patience!! I really need it today! Yes of course I will adopt you, but good luck trying to get across the border right now LOL. They have been handing out hefty fines to US travellers that claim to be headed to Alaska but conveniently stay for a few weeks to vacation :mmph: Sorry your allergies are acting up, hope that it doesn't last too long! Glad that you had a nice time with Caitlyn's birthday, you really do have great kids! Happy to hear that the skeleton band is coming together, still not sure what Halloween will look like here this year? Feel sorry for the kids if they can't trick or treat, but really with all this COVID nonsense I don't see how they can. :noidea:

Ok I am off to the shower and probably no face time from Heather this morning as she will be enjoying her second day on her own. It must be so nice and peaceful for her LOL. Hope to start my calendar today! Wish me luck!

Morning, gals.... still having to mess with the computer. I ran the virus protection software again... nothing! Cleared everything again. Did a hard shut-down then logged into a couple of places... did another hard shut down and came back - the log-ins are there.... for now. I am really beginning to think the problem is the age of the computer software not working well with the Windows10 updates. <<< sigh >>> Guess I had better start looking for a new tower soon. Right now the ones that have 1TB are "out of stock" most places!!! Can't see buying a new one that is smaller than 1 TB and having to add a hard drive to it immediately!

Just realized that Digital Scrapbooking Day is right around the corner along with October arriving... got several things I have to get busy with.

No time for personals today... just know I am thinking about you all.

Hello everybody! Surprise! I'm here while it's still daylight. Hahaha It isn't raining today - but it's clouding up - not good.

Chris, have you posted any pictures of the skeletons? I'd love to see them. I love skeletons - they always make me laugh. I especially love the Sugar Skull stuff and have lots and lots of it for Halloween. I hope I can find some of it in my boxes. I carried my kitchen towels and other kitchen stuff with me in the car. Chuck just shakes his head at me sometimes.

Glad I could give you a laugh over me walking around in my boots. Ava kept saying that she was afraid she was going to pull me over. I kept saying that she wouldn't - to just pull! My daughter called me today and Ava had told her about the fun we had yesterday and we laughed again about the boots. I'm so blessed to have the close relationship with my grands! They spent almost every weekend at our house when they were growing up.

Hey, I love the idea of doing crafts with you and you could take care of the animals. I would have gladly given you the job of walking Daisy in the pouring down rain yesterday. My rain poncho got absolutely soaked, as did she. Our animal population is slowing growing. Ava adopted a kitten, Harley, he's a grey tabby. I want one, but am going to wait until we're settled in our house. Adrienne got one, but it's currently residing back in Florida. He made the airplane trip like a champ.

I'm glad that Cait had a great birthday!

Trudy, it sounds like your hours on the phone yesterday have paid off. Yes, it's "fun" to get old. Your weather sounds like ours - it's supposed to rain all week, but so far it hasn't today. I missed my walk yesterday because of the rain. It's not the rain so much as it is the rutty road and the deep water I have to walk through. I need to get Daisy a rain poncho and some rain boots. LOL I can't wait to try out my new rubber boots and my new raincoat, though.

Kay, what are you going to do with your computer? Do you have any "computer geeks" that would come take a look at it? I'm sure you have, but they don't normally charge very much. We had two different "geeks" in our neighborhood in Florida.

Have a great Wednesday everybody! Hugs to all.
