Oh my, my head hurts today. It was actually worse yesterday, so there is that.

We all survived ok, but it was hard. Really hard. I was very happy to be home and available to Caitlyn who could not stop thanking me in between sobs for being the best mom, and for having the best family. she would text me if I was downstairs to come up and sit with her while she cleaned out the cage. I went with her to the vet with Muffin- one of the very few times that she didn't have both in the carrier- to have her checked since she has been amazing and her skin is getting a bit more ulcerated where the tumor drags on the ground. Muffin now has tutti-frutti flavored abx for that :p

I am not a big fan of wakes but I understand how the ritual of it is comforting as we wrapped Clover in fabric (I picked out one that had bees on it so we could both be with her) and added some cheerios and a cardboard tube (OMG-- she loved tearing TP tubes to shreds!) in a box which we buried last night. Poor Gary had to dig a hole in our very hard and rocky soil in the rain. and to think he is going to have to do it again in weeks/month ahead for Muffin. *sighs*

I am off to food shop today and I have no real idea of what I need to get for Cait's birthday dinner and the party on Sat. Whatever! :eek:hwell:
Cait doesn't have classes today but wanted to be awake on the earlier side. I am going to go check on her now, I know that waking up without Clove is going to be rough.

Back for personals soon!
xoxo

She is awake and doing ok, she said that she slept really good- she was exhausted. I gave Muffin a walnut and she is happily munching away on that :)

Rae- thank you for the hugs for Caitlyn, I will pass them along. Yeah, the loss of tuition was huge but I am proud that she recognized that money is not the only consideration in life.
Yay for saving the rat! That story will cheer up Cait too.
How is B doing? A good visit?

Angela- that is funny about bubble wrap- who would think to use it to paint fish? Do you have any pictures of what you are working on? I would love to see them.

Trudy- Thanks for the hugs for Caitlyn too.
I have this impression of the shiny clean pool being like having shiny clean teeth after a dentist app. (Maybe this is my subconscious reminding me that I *still* have not rescheduled my appt.)
Poor Hunter! I hated when babies had colds because they were so miserable which would make them cry which would make them more congested which would make them cry even more... I hope that he gets better soon!
What a fun thing for your sister to do, raising hens. Good business to get into.

waving hi to Felis and Jean and everyone who drops in!! :hello:

Hi.
I hope your head heals quickly Chris.

I'm taking some photos. I don't have a photo hosting site for sharing them though. It doesn't look like this forum has the facility to upload small images to a forum post. Maybe I'll use an OScraps kit to display them in the gallery with later in the month

good morning - I have been MIA as I have been being the good wife. My DH had high PSA levels so had to go in for a biopsy and I got to be with him while we waited. So much nicer than each waiting alone. The guy in front delayed my DH as he had kidney stones and it took longer to get them out. I feel for that man. Not fun! We had to blood one morning and then yesterday was the biopsy. And I feel so good hockey is back. Monday night my DH went to the only home preseason game for the Devils and it was against the Rangers. The Rangers won in OT but it was good to see my young stars and they played really well. Now this morning I am watching hockey from China! It is the Bruins and Flames. This starts my morning off so well! And the sun is shining. But luckily my area missed all the left over rain from Florence as she headed north. We got about 0.5 inches by NYC got over 2 inches and airport delays were expected. I also did a lot of back up and as I keep saying I have so many of my DILs photos. There are a lot of their puppies and a lot of them are videos so to get rid of those is great. Now that I have them in a folder I will be able to take them to her computer and leave her the folder. Then she will have three back ups. Tonight is going to Paneras. My girlfriend and her DH just got back from a trip to San Fransisco and Napa/Sonoma so it will be fun to hear about that.

Chris please give many hugs to Cait. So sorry about Clover. That is very sad about her not being able to save the rats at the end of the experiments at the school. But I am proud of her for knowing that her own standards will not be compromised. Sorry about the money though. Your Gary is a great guy to be out their digging in the rain for his daughter! Hope you feel better today. You are a great mom.

Angela sounds like you and your daughters are busy bees. Love the idea of painting fish with bubble wrap.

Trudy so your clean pool sounds lovely. Our why does the same thing. A long hike in the rain does not sound fun. That is too bad that Hunter has a cold. That is just not fun for him or for Heather.

Rae hope you got your goodies baked for B. I am sure she looks forward to them That is sweet that you saved the rat! We keep having rabbits in the back yard and I am hoping that Luther does not catch them.

Waving!

Have a great day all!

Good Morning everyone, well so much for it being a rainy day... the sun is shining brightly and there is hardly a cloud in the sky. WTH?? How could the weather man be so wrong? Oh well I shouldn't complain, it looks to be a lovely day! I still will not go on the hike, it is so far away and the road to the mountain is horrid, I am not sure why they keep choosing these really hard to get to places to hike? I think that I will go for a nice walk on my own today and soak up the sunshine. Last night DH did BBQ hamburgers for us and they were so delicious! I topped them with bacon and mushrooms, so yummy! :hungry: I love a good juicy hamburger! (no bun of course) Hoping to hear from Heather today, sure hope that Hunter is feeling better! However she txt me last night and said both of the boys had a fever :mmph:

Chris - Perhaps a good thing that Cait does not have class today. I am sure she needs a few days to get over her loss! WTG Gary for being out in the rain and finding a resting place for Clover! I too hope that the headache is better today, you are a wonderful Mother and you heart certainly is kind and caring! I agree, seeing babies with a cold is no fun! I am terrible for always thinking the worst and so afraid that they will get meningitis or something, having been there and done that with Heather it really frightens me! I try not to show it with her and only suggest that she keeps an eye on their temps, while visions of horror roll around in my head. I know I am bad!!

Angela - You could load your photos in your gallery, create a private new gallery and then copy the image address of your photo and post it to the forum. That is what I do when I want to post a photo here. That way not everyone can see your private gallery and you can show only the photos that you want to here.

Nancy - How nice of you to wait with your DH for his biopsy, sure hope that it all went well! So nice that you are able to watch hockey again, even if it is in China LOL. I will have to check the score of the Bruins game! Glad to hear that you missed out on all that rain from Hurricane Florence she sure left a lot of damage in her wake! Still doing back ups? Sheesh will it ever end LOL. Hope you and Luther has a lovely day today!

Felis - So sorry to hear that you are also mourning the loss of pets! I hope that things will get better for your soon!

Jean - :hello: I hope you are busy with your birding and genealogy and I hope the sun is shining for you too!

Lots of noise going on next door, they are having some kind of gas pipeline put in or something, anyway its nice to see that our new neighbours are actually doing improvements to the place. The old ones did no yard work or anything while they lived in that house and the front and backyards are completly dead. They are getting all new landscaping soon, it will be so nice! I hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday!
