Oh my, my head hurts today. It was actually worse yesterday, so there is that.
We all survived ok, but it was hard. Really hard. I was very happy to be home and available to Caitlyn who could not stop thanking me in between sobs for being the best mom, and for having the best family. she would text me if I was downstairs to come up and sit with her while she cleaned out the cage. I went with her to the vet with Muffin- one of the very few times that she didn't have both in the carrier- to have her checked since she has been amazing and her skin is getting a bit more ulcerated where the tumor drags on the ground. Muffin now has tutti-frutti flavored abx for that
I am not a big fan of wakes but I understand how the ritual of it is comforting as we wrapped Clover in fabric (I picked out one that had bees on it so we could both be with her) and added some cheerios and a cardboard tube (OMG-- she loved tearing TP tubes to shreds!) in a box which we buried last night. Poor Gary had to dig a hole in our very hard and rocky soil in the rain. and to think he is going to have to do it again in weeks/month ahead for Muffin. *sighs*
I am off to food shop today and I have no real idea of what I need to get for Cait's birthday dinner and the party on Sat. Whatever! hwell:
Cait doesn't have classes today but wanted to be awake on the earlier side. I am going to go check on her now, I know that waking up without Clove is going to be rough.
Back for personals soon!
xoxo
