whhhhheeeeee!! Its hump day! Rainy and windy here. We had more tornado warnings in NJ again. Last week and now this week. Its beyond weird, ya know?? At least its not snow!

I am not a happy camper with my plans for today. I have to go gift shopping for the family and 1. I hate shopping! 2. I have no idea what to get them. 3. I HATE shopping.

Good news of the day is that I got my car back yesterday. And I only needed two tires instead of all 4. That was a relief. Still beaucoup bucks, but less that what I was dreading. Thank goodness for credit cards!! Would you believe that until Gary became disabled, I never had a CC bill that I didn't pay off in full? I grew up with my parents telling me that you only used CC's for something that you didn't have the cash in your hand but in the bank and ready to pay for it. (They still pay for cars in cash, insane right? LOL). The first month that I was only able to pay off part of the bill, I was devastated. Now its just an accepted part of life. *sighs*

(For the record, I am part of the 47% that does not pay Federal Income tax, but I am not lazy, not do I expect anything free or whatever other blather was being said. :( If I could do anything to get Gary, the kids and I healthy and working, I would do it in a heartbeat. )

Sorry-- that was my little soapbox rant.... :D Just ignore!!!

WWW:
I wish that I knew what to get for gifts. What do you get for people who have just about everything? And whom I give scrapbook pages to for just about *every* gift giving occasion.....
I want the sun to come out and dry up all the rain.
I want peace on this planet. For real.

XOXO!!!

From Tuesday:

Eva- did you do a Tuesday Reboot?

Laurie- Ugh-- sorry to hear about the FRiday situation. I get where she is coming from, but it is still a bummer!

Terry- My days are mostly the same here too, either I am cleaning for my job or I am cleaning here LOL
Ugh about the brick wall, I had that happen to me all last week. Hope you get a breakthrough!

OMG Nana!!!!! Baby snakes? And yeah, really?? Immaculate conception for snakes??? Ack!!

Phyllis- we got that rain last night around dinner time buckets and buckets!!
Your Fab FOur sounds like my college roomies. We rarely get to see each other but all it takes is a call and its like old times. :)

Kim LOL-- there is almost always a pot of coffee on at my house, you could come here for a cup :tea:

You too heather!

TERRY!!!!!!!!!! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! That would have freaked me out and snakes don't bother me all that much!!!! But driving!!?? You're lucky you didn;t crash, or have a heart attack or something!

Jen- how was your birthday? Hope it was as awesome as you!!

Andrea- I think I have most of those ingredients in my house.... except CO2 extract?? Is it an aerosol?

Congrats on 2500 Heather! :cheer2:

Linda S- OMG!!!!!! How scary!!!! I am glad that you are OK, but they only want you home for one day??? Please, take more time than that if you need it. We need you here!! Yeah, your family needs you too.... but we need you here!!!!!

Dawn- I'll have to scrap some pages of Bunny and share them with you. She is HUGE!!! Has to be around 16 lbs. I can't decide if I think she is cuter when she cleans here ears or when she binkies!
I don't know how you get through the days sometimes and I can only imagine how you get such comfort from your furbabies. I miss my Harley something awful (its been a year-- either today or tomorrow) and she was my rock when I was having bad times.

KBAMMM!!!!!!!! How are you and the kiddos????? Did you have #2 yet? Sorry but I am so bad with times. I have your old page on FB but not the new one. Find me: Christine Iantosca Campbell!!!

Opps! I am running late (as usual!) But I never want to leave anyone out here

Boss is off this week, will be talking to her about more time for paperwork due to fact I stay after 1-2 hour per night- gotta love being salaried- no extra pay to get my work done=that is where my mojo is!

Just popping in for a quick one before I go to the gym! Laurie--I wish I felt as excited as you sound to work out. This is the third week of walking Mon-Fri. I can see the difference!

Found the mojo to finish the one layout that I hit a brick wall. I think I'm going to spend some time tagging stuff in ACDSee. I'm a bit behind. More than a bit.

Today is golf night--hubby and I play in a 9 hole tournament on Wed. nights.

Now off to the gym and then to work.

The cyberspace gremlins just ate my first post. Grrr....

Chris, I am right there with you on the hating shopping! Especially when you don't have any idea what to get people. I am sure that everyone LOVES your scrapbook pages...so very personal. And what a string of birthdays that you have in just a matter of weeks! Our big months are November and February.

Laurie, I admire your attitude with "applying" for your job. Sorry that you can't have Fridays. :-( But love that you are focused on getting yourself in the best possible position to "enable a good solution". Fantastic focus!!!

Terry, have a great morning at the gym. Three weeks of walking is terrific! And enjoy golf night tonight!

LINDA!!!! whoa, what a day for you!! please oh PLEASE, women. pay attention when things feel wrong. why do we always feel we have to push on through whatever's hapening to us physically (and otherwise....) i am SO glad that they got your heart back in rhythm. please take good care. put your feet up and relax. breathe deeply and demand to be waited on!

Chris, GIFT shopping? Christmas already or what? early on, our family did away with gifts, except for the kids. no adult BD gifts ever, (unless you are my mother or MIL, father, FIL, ) only kid gifts, and that being $$. at Christmas, same thing. it makes life easier for everyone. gift-giving shouldn't be stressful!!! although it's a sensitive issue. there's always one person in the family who pouts and gets mad about the no-gift thing.

Laurie and Terry. come sit by me so i can "catch" some of your Exercise Enthusiasm and/or Willpower. i am SO BAD!

today i am taking a trip to the new and local Whole Foods. (hahaa!! to check out the orderly produce.... https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=268298&title=annalift-9-2f14-2f2012&cat=all) i used to have to travel into town and fight for a parking space in their meager parking lot. NO MORE!! i don't usually shop there (Whole Foods is sometimes called Whole Paycheck...) but it's always fun to go in there and look around. at all the stuff i can't eat. :Cry:then after the Whole Foods trip, it's housecleaning. and i'm making a turkey with all the fixings for dinner tonight. i decided to buy a turkey so that i could get about 4 dinners of leftovers out of it. anyone have a good recipe for turkey leftovers??

Happy Wednesday. Happy Everything!

LINDA S - OOOOO MY GOOOOODNESS!!! I am so glad you are okay sweetie!!!!! How scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay....I know my theory on kids and their sleep is right....I believe that a lot of kids that get in trouble at school don't sleep enough..their parents don't get them to bed at a decent time (now I am talking little kids here)...like my neighbor..the one whose kids are running the street out here until after dark every night and then have to go in and do homework....Anyway.....Jesse and Jaiden have a strict routine (as did my girls when they were little)....but on occasion, Jesse has a terrible time going to sleep...night before last, it was 10:30.....and yesterday he had a RED day at school...that is bad.....talking and not following directions and then bus driver said he was in the floor on the bus....this is not the case when he goes to sleep..most days are green and an occasional yellow for talking. Since he was exhausted from the lack of sleep the night before, last night he was asleep by 7pm...and had a hard time waking up this morning at 6:45....HE SHOULD HAVE A GOLDEN DAY TODAY :pound:

Oh my Mom told me something that WARMS MY HEART SO MUCH today!!! My Dad is going to start playing music again!!! For the church....Growing up as a kid, one of the best on going memories I had was seeing my Dad play music!!! He has no formal training, he plays by ear (never looks at a piece of music on paper)..and he can play ANYTHING that has strings on it!! His fave is the steel guitar....He quit playing in a band when I was about 13....but still always had his electric guitar (which he made himself) sitting close by and was always playing....but he stopped about 5 or 6 years ago all together...not sure why...we encouraged him to play..he just didn't...but now he is going to start again with the church group..and that makes me sooooooooooooo happy...I will be taking photos!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wish I had inherited his musical talents....but so far...neither my brother or I or any of our children did...maybe one of these great grandchildren??

Nana, music seems to be a lot like mojo for scrapping. sometimes it just GOES. i have a degree in piano and was a music teacher/musician for a lot of my life. then i just quit. music is like art. you can't (or at least i can't) just sit down and MAKE yourself do it. it's not like painting a room. there's an extra dimension to stuff like art and music that, when it's missing, just can't be forced. you kind of have to sit back and wait for it to ring the doorbell in its own time. glad to hear that "it" has shown up at your dad's house again! it can be a joyful thing, when your heart is in it.

I guess I can understand that Phylis.....just like anything else you have a hobby with, things in your life change and you don't feel quite the same (lack of passion) about it and you lose interest.

It is cool and wonderful outside today. I have my windows open, my favorite sweatshirt blanket, a cup of coffee, and I am ready to scrap. All I have to do today is make some guacamole, take a shower, and wash some diapers. I'm feeling good.

I played around yesterday and finally put a blog back together. And then I wrote a tutorial. I had kept some sort of website since about the time I was 10, but I just haven't recently. They've been about different things over the years: The Petz computer games, writing, books, but at this point, I'm just going to let myself post whatever I feel like. Since I started scrapping, I feel like some big creative block finally let go and I really want to make things again. It gives me such joy in my heart.

Now, if the baby and I could just get on the same page about this being a Wonderful Wednesday, everything would be good!

LindaS - I hope you're feeling better! My dad has been to the doctor so many times lately for arrhythmia. Heart stuff is always a little scary. Take it easy and relax with some scrapping today!

Chris - I hate shopping too. And I am such a perfectionist about gift shopping that I make myself crazy. I hope the perfect gifts just stumble into your path.

Nana - I'm glad your dad is playing music again! I know what Phyllis means though. I used to love writing and I just haven't been able to for years. And strange enough, the little bit of journalling I've been doing for scrapping has kind of rekindled a desire to write in me so I FINALLY got a blog back up.

Gooooood morning, everybody!
I woke up this morning feeling like I can actually be productive, which is nice because I've felt like I just didn't have the energy to do anything the last week or so. Which is REALLY BAD, because of school and because I have lots of stuff coming up starting in October that I REALLY REALLY have to get ready for. Also, I have Vicki's 20 shades of Gradients papers burning a hole in my EHD, and I wanna scrap with them wicked bad.

Anyhoozle.

Chris, I hate shopping too. SOOO bad. Which is why I always do it online. Although, some people think I'm totally nuts, but I love grocery shopping. Oh also, one thing that I super duper hate spending money on is tires and other krap for the car. It makes me ANGRY. Also, maybe you saw the li'l argument I got into on FB yesterday about being part of the 47%. LOL. I'll leave that to FB. Also, I have no idea what CO2 extract is, and I almost deleted that ingredient because I can't believe that it would smell like anything. I spray that spray on my bed every night, and it makes me feel relaxed and serene. AHHHHH!

LaurieW- Great news about looking forward to your weigh in! But not so great about being salaried and not getting paid overtime. I feel the same way about my husband. He's a soldier, and frequently gets worked around the clock.. but then sometimes he doesn't work at all.. so..

Terry- Oh man. I don't even want to think about how much stuff I haven't tagged in ACDSEE or in any other program, for that matter. Have fun on golf night!

Linda S- hate those gremlins!

Phylis-I agree about Whole Foods. We don't have one in my town, but I do like to go when I go to "the Big City." My favorite place, though, is Trader Joes, because I CAN afford a lot of that stuff, and it's just so awesome. So many favorites. Clara and always buy each other the dark chocolate almonds with turbinado and sea salt when we go there.

Nana-There are a lot of problems associated with missing sleep. Genny had very disordered sleep her first few years, and the developmental specialists were very concerned about it because it can actually affect their development! So not only do they have behavior problems, but they actually don't develop properly. Now we give her melatonin every night, per doctor's instructions, and it works really well. She's been sleeping much better and DOING much better.

Twomoredays- sorry don't know your name!! Good luck keeping the blog going. I'm terrible at that. I've been trying to keep it up now that I'm designing, but I still slack on it. Oh and enjoy that Guac. Yummy!

Okay now I'm off eat my baked oatmeal for lunch, and to GET STUFF DONE!

Chris you're so silly! I can't find you on facebook it wont bring you up, search me Kayleigh Elizabeth Mariscal. Yes I had #2, she's 7 months old now. Between Kaylyn(#1) and Adalyn(#2) I've been pretty busy. And now I'm back to work on top of it. But I desperately miss my O-home and scrapping so I will be back here as much as I can be.

I hope everyone is awesome!!
