The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Good morning to you all! I hope that you are having a fine and fantastic day so far.

My brain is still stuck in backwards mode, and no matter how many notes and scribbles I make on my To-Do lists, they don't seem to help. Too much of this is happening inside it: :bedjump:
Yesterday was a busy and disconnected day. I ended up cleaning my office space. That made me sneeze from all of the dust. I also made a -- discomforting? -- discovery. I found a shedded snakeskin by the heating vent, around the power strip and cords. Now, there are two possibilities for how it got there. One would be that I found a snakeskin outside, threw it in my workbag to share with the kids, and it fell out. The other possibility is that there was a snake in my office and it shed its skin behind my desk. I think that #1 is less likely because I would have put a snakeskin in a ziplock before tucking it away. OTOH, I cannot for the life of me imagine how a snake would get into my office! I am going with Option #1 -- my story and I am sticking to it!
Just so you know, the skin was very small- maybe a magic marker size in circumference and the pieces might have been about 8-9" put together. No anacondas in my basement hahah!

I'd love to know what my dogs are doing about wildlife in and out of my house because the bear cub was on my patio again last night. And not a freaking peep out of either of them until I yelled to scare it away. I was finishing up the dishes before I went to bed and Gary brought the suet feeder inside for the night. I went to the DR to close the windows and there he was, walking across the patio! Gary checked the camera video this morning and saw that he came inside at 7:49 pm and the bear walked across at 7:50!

So what is up for today?
Main priority: Get my mushy brain under control. After that, (or probably during that process, b/c I think it will take more than me wishing my brain would get under control), I have to start my Week 4 challenge. I'm finally getting my hair cut and colored this afternoon. On my way home, I am stopping at TJ Maxx to find something/anything for my ILs birthdays, which are next week. I have no idea what to get them-- it's always something small but I try to go for meaningful. I got nothin' this year. Gary is noooo help either LOL

Caitlyn has been changing the menu/dessert for her b-day dinner so I am not sure what I am making at this point either.

See-- brain mush. :rolleyes1:

Enjoy your day!

@BrightEyes I am so relieved that you are turning the corner and finally feeling a little better. You must have gotten hit hard with Covid. Did you have it before or were you one of the few who hadn't gotten it?
Rest, rest, rest-- no relapses allowed!
:hug3:

@vickyday I scrubbed out all of the feeders yesterday, too. I will rehang the hummingbird ones, but will keep the seed feeder down for at least a week. I remembered to use gloves too!
How wonderful to have the Fellowship Fire again. Always a good incentive to get the house and yard cleaned up when you have people over.
HA! Our cabinet tops run to the ceiling and now I feel (slightly) guilty for not cleaning the fronts of my cabinets. Oh, who am I kidding! I don't feel the least bit guilty! However, I did gander at them around the pulls when the light hit them a certain way this morning.....they really do need to be cleaned.......one of these days! ;)
:lol23:
Gandering is Step One. Assessment and Project Planning are Steps Two and Three. See, you are already partially done!

@Terri M *fingers crossed you got some rain yesterday* We might get some sprinkles today and we need it badly. We are at Stage 2 fire restrictions and the wildfire from last week is still smoldering under the layer of leaves.
It's going to be cooler here too and I am trying a new recipe for a chickpea soup for dinner.
I am taking an online course on the science of climate change,
That is very cool! Not really. It is really awful but interesting and hopefully helpful as we move further into the effects of it. If you
learn any neat facts or things I can share with my homeschool kids, I'd love to read up on it.
Yikes... hope that your SIL is better and tests negative soon. Good healthy thoughts to the rest of the family and his parents.
Now we know why she had several false charges on her debit card the week after she paid "just the shipping." Fortunately the bank reversed those and gave her a new card.
((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))
I hope you find time to do a few fun things today.
Does finding a snakeskin under my desk count as fun??? :floorlaugh:
Went to pre-PT yesterday so they could measure my hip movement for the before surgery to compare to after. That was fun-NOT. Yesterday Jay got the last 3 hurricane windows we need to make our house safer. He bought me another orchid as he knew I was a little down in the dumps about having to have surgery again.
Ouch :(
That is very sweet of Jay. he is a keeper! (good thing after all these years LOL!)

I really didn't think it worked at first. Took it 5 days and "didn't feel it" but let me tell you what I felt. I felt day 6 when I didn't take it!!!
Thanks! They came last night so I am starting them this morning. I hope they help my heart rate, because it is exhausting when it bounces all over for no reason.
Wow, you did some major major-appliance cleaning. Hope that you didn't hurt too much afterward.
My washing machine is due for a clean cycle but I am getting nervous about our well. I never cleaned the dishwasher other than wiping it down around the gunky edges and filter. If it ever rains again, I'll try the vinegar and baking soda too.
Buhahahahah!! Sorry for laughing but the Water Pik story was funny :giggle4:

Time to start my day!
xoxoxo

HA! Tell Gary.....your parents, your gift.....that may have him going into think mode for YOU to buy something! ;)
WOW! That bear! Did he munch on anything else while on your patio?
