Time is so weird. At the same time, it feels like I was there yesterday and it feels like forever ago.
We are zipping through September. Halfway point today. Yesterday feels like a blur. I got food shopping done and that was good to have off of my list. But the dishwasher stopped working again and I had to wash the entire load by hand. We really have to figure out whether it should get repaired or buy a new one. It isn't an option to wash everything by hand because I will either be doing 90% of it myself or I will never see the bottom of the sink again if I let it all pile up hoping someone else will wash them.

Cait and I ran to the dollar store and Joann's to look for some of the material I need to make Autumn/Halloween gnomes for the birthday gifts. I had to go to Joann's as it was to get Leah a GC there. I hate giving GCs but Scott said that she would appreciate it. I will scrap a photo of the two of them to make it more personal. Eventually. I have so many things on my to-do list it is making my head spin. BUT-- I am back to writing my to-do list so that is a very good thing.
On my list today is to finish the two loads of laundry I started yesterday. Plus I need to go into the attic to see what I have of paper goods for the party as well as to dig up some of the craft stuff I will need for the gnomes. I would like to start on them so if I run into trouble I can figure it out before it is literally the last mintue. I am also getting food idea requests from the extended family so I have to come up with a menu of sorts so they know what they can bring.

Kay- it feels like the wildfires are never going to end. I can't imagine having to breathe that. Here's to getting some gentle rain to wash out the air a little. The lunch sounds like it was a great time-- that is a lot to catch up on for three hours. I am so happy that you are going to continue it every month

@Cherylndesigns I know better than to try to convince a stubborn woman to rest LOL Al I have to do is put myself in your shoes and then I know to cut my losses. Hope that you make sure that you heal quickly so don't push yourself.

@taxed4ever How was the visit with SIL, do you think anyone will have any influence over FIL to move? Hope that you were able to have to time for yourself to scrap!

@felis The pumpkin plushies are seriously adorable Thank you for sharing them here. I am really proud of Leah's work.
I haven't crocheted anything in ages and that is one thing I hope to start again with the weather being cooler. I still have one of the cat blankets to finish so I can see if the woman I know from the vet's office wants them.
I always love that feeling of crossing things off of my list and then I got so darn lazy. I am really trying to get back to that.
I hope that you start scrapping again soon too. I have a page that I started over the weekend and every time I want to start working on it, I get pulled away. Hope that everything falls into place for you so you can do your calendar.

@tanteva That is a big reason why I stay off of youtube. Hope you got enough sleep!

Hello lovelies.
I can’t figure out how to add to this so I’m replying. Lol. Chris @faerywings im trying to take it easy! There’s only so much I can do with one arm. Ugh. I’m so happy that I’m able to use my phone. At least I’m not completely cut off. As long as I keep my arm tucked to my side I’m ok. So I’m extremely limited. Quick in and out. The cleaners are coming for the first time around noon. I’ll let you know how that goes.

I want to apologize for being missing for so long. I don't usually get sad or depressed but with it being almost exactly 10 years since Irene came and now with Ida destroying so much of our town and us getting water in our basement that ruined stuff. But there has been good stuff. I was invited to my son's finance's sister's wedding shower. I had fun. I don't know that many but I met more of the family and friends so that was exciting. My DH has started classes again. And surprisingly it is Luther who is the most upset. The pandemic has had my DH home so much that now poor Luther is getting used to him not being here. Me on the other hand I enjoy the peace.

@faerywings Chris so glad you got your trip to the shore. It must have been heaven.

Morning ladies... just quickly popping in again this morning as I need to leave for my hike in few minutes. Have my backpack all ready to go and it is a lovely sunny day, but kind of chilly out there. I made myself a chef's salad for my lunch and it looks really yummy!! Hope it tastes that way too! Had a long visit with SIL Linda and I think I have her convinced that we need to look into getting home care for MIL and FIL too bad if he doesn't like it!! MIL is done with making meals and FIL seems to be oblivious to that. So even if it is a few meals a week and perhaps some housekeeping, that will be a start right??

@faerywings - Yes the days and weeks are like a blur!! Even with me taking so much time away from the rest of the world this summer, it still seems like we are living in the twilight zone! I hope that you get all that you need for your craft projects, wish we had a Joann's here in our area! I need to get to Micheals and stock up on a lot of items. I am sure that Cait would love the GC from Scott!! I did find some time to start a layout, but I am really not happy with it so far, so I might have to start from scratch again. I am also doing some detective work for a guy that my DH works with. Trying to find some sort of family for a fellow who is no longer alive but had his war medals stolen. They have since been returned to the RCMP but they are struggling to find any relative that they can return them to. I am having a hard time finding any info on the guy through Ancestry, Sure could use some help from @scrap-genie right now! LOL.

@Cherylndesigns - Sorry you are still all bundled up with your sling, but at least you can use your phone to keep in contact with us!

@nancyr - So happy to see you here Nancy, but I can totally understand why you have been MIA! How terrible that you lost some things because of the flood. Sad that there was so much damage done to your area, but happy that you and your family are all ok!! How lovely to meet the extended members of your growing family! So nice to be invited to the wedding shower! Hope that Luther gets used to not having your DH around and I totally get how nice it is to have the peace and quiet LOL.

I'm a bit low today. Crap happened at work yesterday, and I had a talk with the boss today. Not a big thing - one of the co-workers said some stupid shite yesterday and I was a "witness", and stuff needed to get sorted. Stresses me though, and I kinda wish I didn't have to go to work tomorrow. But I'm a grown-up. I can do adulting. LOL

When I got home from work yesterday, I had a letter in the mail box. From a new pen pal in Sri Lanka. That she wrote in MARCH 2020!!! I started with pen palling again in February 2020, and I had sent her a letter, and when she didn't reply, well, you know ... I just let it slide & time passed. I actually forgot about it. Well, since we met at an on-line pen pal page, I had her e-mail addy, so I e-mailed her yesterday. I'm sure she's been thinking the same more or less ... that it kinda wasn't meant to be. Now I'm hoping to hear from her via e-mail. But heaven knows. I think Sri Lanka was hit pretty hard by covid. I got 1 pen pal in Brazil & 1 in Texas about the same time. Both of them hasn't replied to letter or e-mail & neither has logged in to the pen pal site since March/April 2020. It's concerning. Not that we were close friends or something, we'd just gotten to know eachother, but it's a bit scary.

Gee ... I'm low today. I won't bring everyone down. Time to cook dinner any way. Just needed to vent a bit.

Just had my computer develop major problems this afternoon. I am unable to get to any of my digi-scrapping software or supplies. Not sure how long it will be before the issue is resolved. So mark me as MIA until the issue is resolved.

Hello girls!
It's the first day of School at my country and it's still kind of strange to be just a regular day. Before September 15th has all these wonderful meaning of back to the friends, beginning of adventures and sweet competition, new chance to fall in love. Whether the fact that I feel nostalgic for my lost youth mean that I'm elder now?
Weather is still lovely and I had fantastic day spending all my free time in gardening.

Chris, I come back from my summer vacation with lots of excitement for the Crochet Academy, but finding that the common mood here is to being blue will be cynical from my side to be cheerful. You are so strong and processing so good with the sorrow, I truly admire you! It must be so difficult for your family to make a party right now. Don't forget to show us the gnomes when they are ready!

Cheryl, I'm sorry, but I can't trust you that you'll spare yourself, you just don't sounds as you do that . Maybe I'm a lazy person, but I'm so good in doing nothing, just give me chance to sunbathing and listen music and I can spend ages like that.

Oh, Nancy, I wasn't understand that you are in the affected area, so sad and scary! Nature plays really hard these days!

Trudy, but this is just a perfect solution. My mom was personal assistant for many years and she was really close with both of the ladies! Definitely use the card how much they will help giving work on this lady, present it as they makes favor to someone, not like they need help. This thing was helping with the first lady. For some people is kind of humiliating to admit their weakness.

Eva, don't think the worst, you'll hurt yourself (mentally)! It's more like lots of people had boring life and wasn't sure what to wrote last year. Even going to post office wasn't much pleasant, so is normally to lost interest and stop visiting the site.

Kay, this is really awful, computer problems are the pits! Hope you'll be able to resolve it and don't need new computer!

Hey I'm so much better today! It doesn't bring pain to my shoulder to type on my laptop. Every day is a little better. There's nothing the dr can do for me - only time will heal. I've been taking it easy all day and have a rolled up towel under my arm so I'm happy that it's better today.

I'm strong like bull. LMAO

Hey Chris @faerywings we got our house cleaned today - they did an amazing job. It feels so good. $40 well spent and Ava stopped by while they were here and they put her on the schedule for 2 weeks from today.

Well, it's a new day here now. Just woke up and texted Urban (who's at work already) and told him I just hade the worst night of sleep since the fire of Stockholm. That's a saying here in Sweden that this or that hasn't happened since the fire in Stockholm ... the fire was in 1625, so: basically the saying means it's never happened before LOL I had a nightmare and woke up at 4.40ish and it took forever to go back to sleep. My bus leaves in about an hour, and I will arrive at work 45 minutes early, but I can't take the next bus, cuz then I will be 15 minutes too late. Geee do I miss living in a big city where there was a new bus every 8th minute!

Working noon til 18 today, and after that we're having dinner with my friend and her man at their hotel. They're only here for the night, and going back home again tomorrow. It's kinda flattering that they want to spend their only evening here with us. (But knowing her mother, I kinda get it LOL)

Well, I'm going to post a layout I made for one of the AnnaChallenges before I go to work. Guessing I'm home again in about 12 hours. TTYL

Oh, and yes - almost forgot @mywisecrafts Welcome again Esther! Glad you found the daily Ooo's. I think many get a bit scared of these threads, cuz it feels like we all know eachother so well ... like "the in click" (or whatever it's called). And yes, I guess most of us know eachother well, but mainly everyone's just moaning about their life ... LOL ... and everyone's welcome to join in. The more the moanier, I guess one could say. Welcome, Esther! We would love to have more people at our chat room, so I hope you'll join to us! What Eva said is right but too pragmatic.
