Finally!!! My house feels like October.
We had a blast decorating last night. As always. We are a bunch of goofballs. hahahaha!!! Caitlyn gave us a huge compliment a few days ago- after wearing the giant stuffed dog and letting W jump all over her, she said that she was very happy that she grew up in a house that was accepting and allowed her to be ridiculous. She said the same last night as we were dancing to the Monster Mash and "scaring" each other with our decorations.
After we decorated, the kids picked out an old live-action Scooby-Doo movie which was both terrible and hysterical at the same time.
A very good day.:)

Since I fell (eyeballs on you, Jaida) - I had to stop doing PT exercises for my ankle. Guess what is hurting this morning? blergh. I can tell that I am rolling my ankle outward which is messing it all up. I am going to have to figure out what exercises I can do for that while not aggravating the hip. I am only 52, at the rate I am falling apart, I am not going to make it to 60. Sheesh!

I hope that everyone is doing well, love to all!!

NANCY!!!!!!!!! That is wonderful news!!! I am thrilled for you and your son and --just YAY!!! That has to make your heart happy. So, so happy. Does he have a plan or a time frame to propose? I remember that her divorce was not final yet, is that happening soon? Oh, I am so sorry (not sorry *winks*) for the questions, I am know I am nosy but it is such happy news.
I am also incredible happy and relieved to hear that you are out of the funk. I am working on that myself. It is not easy some days and sometimes, you have to accept the mood and give yourself that down time before you move on. It seems like you have so many positives with your family and friends, you have an amazing support system.
Yes, talking to the family- debating and discussing, all so very important to keep informed and engaged. You are doing great with your sons too. We got our ballots yesterday and you should have heard us debating the Public Questions. #3 is hard with the NJ Constitutional Amendment. We were researching, sending each other links, and sussing out the positives and negatives. I have to do some reserach for the Bd of Ed. choices, since the kids have been out of school, I don;t know about any of the peopkle running, so I usally leave that black. But after all of the insanity of the last year in the District's response, I saw that it is important to have science-based people on the Bd as well. Who would have thought? /s
Oh yes, I am sure having a Marine teach Scott how to handle a gun is the best way to go. Once a Marine, always a Marine, right? :D

Trudy- how is the weather this morning, hopefully perfect for your hike!
I am relieved to hear that the kids are feeling better, the seasonal changes and dying leaves can make everyone snezy and congested.
Hunter giggling has to be such an endorphin-releasing sound, just thinking about it make me smile, so I can only imagine how happy it makes you.
Were you able to get your turkey? It feels weird as an American that your Thanksgiving is so early especially since ours is tied into the beginning of the Christmas season. My brain is 100% not ready to deal with any of that.
Enjoy your card and calendar making!

Kay and Cheryl- hope you are both well! Felis, you too...
Check in with us when you can. xoxo

Morning everyone! It is a bit foggy this morning, however it looks like it will probably burn off a bit quicker than it did yesterday as I can see the sun shining on the mountain across the lake. Yesterday I couldn't even see across the street LOL. So it should be great for our hike today. I haven't heard from Heather yet this morning, so I am guessing that both boys are in school today. I did get another calendar page done yesterday, only 10 more to go LOL. I will get it posted here hopefully this morning, then I really need to get a page done for one of the challenges soon.

Chris - Isn't Nancy's news just the best ever!! So nice to hear about good things happening in someone's life! Yes Hunter giggling is truly heartwarming for me, he is such a cutie pie!! I was able to get my Turkey, it's not too big about 14lbs, but it should be perfect for the 4 of us and I will send leftover home with MIL & FIL. We asked SIL Linda and SIL Sharon and her mate if they wanted to join us, but they declined and are sticking close to home. Can't say as I blame them, the second wave is starting to hit our Province and I think its going to be worse than the first one. :mmph:

Anyway I should skedaddle and get my backpack ready to go and get in the shower. I hope that everyone has a fantastic day !!

good morning - yesterday was such a fun day. My walks have been so good for my well being. A few days ago a hunting young man was removing his shirt after a day of construction and so I asked if he would be my photo of the day. He was so nice and gave me a thumbs up. Then yesterday as I was walking by my river there were two teens sitting in the path and it looked so romantic the girl had her back to me and young man was facing her with his leg up so I could not see his face. I asked them if I could take their photo and I explained it would not contain their faces and showed them the photo. They were so nice. I just never know what I am going to see. My area has a deer hunting season at two of our parks. They are bow hunting. But as I was walking yesterday the deer just stood there as dogs went by and people. There was a woman in front of me talking to the deer and we starting taking socially distant and I said I used to talk to them until I said I did not want them to die because they are used to people. She was like me and cant understand the hunting. And the people that get so mad that the deer eat their plants. Well don't keep taking away their land to forage and the deer would not eat the plants. It was a good walk. Yesterday was also the NHL draft and the Devils had 3 selections and I like who they selected even though they will not be in the NHL for a while. The best though was the last pick. The San Jose Sharks selected a young man Ozzy Weinblatt. His Mom is deaf so the asst. GM used ASL to sign his name so his Mom would know. How cool was that. It was only the first round so today starting at 11:30 I have rounds 2-7. Good background TV. Seems like they are going to try to start the season by Jan 1, 2021. I hope it can work. Today is hair cut day. It is so nice as I can walk a gorgeous day blue sky and high in 70s. These are the best fall days. Good birds have been coming to be backyard. Redbellied woodpecker, chickadees, cardinals and this am a flicker.

Chris your decorating sounds so fun. I saw the video of Cait in her dog suit and it was so cute. You have a fun family. I know what you mean about falling apart but just take it slow and the hip will heal. Enjoy today's weather.

Trudy hope you got all your errands accomplished. I cant wait for Turkey day in the US. I really love turkey but never look for it except for the holidays. Hope your weather cooperates so you can go on your hike. Have fun! Reading to Hunter must be so exciting and I love hearing children laugh.

waving to Jean and Cheryl

Have a great day.

Real quick in and out today... doing the last minute clean-up on the computer as it is going into the shop tomorrow morning. I will do a back-up to the ExHD this evening to make sure I get everything on it but need to check out what all is on the back-up plan first. Tough decision about taking it in as they may need to reset it back to who knows when and I might lose a bunch of stuff. Realized this AM that I had a bunch of zipped files in the downloads that I just hadn't got around to moving into my scrapping files... OOOOPPPS!!! Keep your fingers crossed that I won't lose too much with repair. Glad I have the yearly plan so it won't cost me to take it in.

Had some good news from DD#2... their house sold the first day it was on the market!!! So glad for them. As it happens, the closing is the same day that her hubby is having vascular surgery on one of his legs so they will do the signing the day before on-line. They will stay in the area until he is given the go-ahead from his doctor for the move out-of-state.

Sorry no personals today as I have a lot to get done. Not sure when I will be able to get back on-line but definitely no scrapping for awhile. CYL

I miss you a lot, my lovely friends! And often in different situation think for some of you, and what she would say for this or that! But, no, I'm still very sad and melancholic, I do only basic necessary things and I would be an awful company.
