Hey there, everyone! :waving1
I am going to have to be very quick in posting this. Scott is picking me up at 8 and it is 7 already. I am dressed and had coffee but that's about it eep.

It was beautiful outside yesterday and I loved it! I got some discounted bulbs, $2 for 2 bags, and planted them. If they come up, it will be a happy surprise. And I scrapped! Three pages yesterday, 1 is the Gallery, one needs to be posted this morning, and 1 is live tomorrow. I love the kits this time of year.

Nothing else is happening, although I swear-- its funny that I have seen/talked/texted with Scott more since he moved out than before.

On to personals and then get ready to head out.

xoxox!

Is it just me, or is the site running slow?
I can't tell if it feels like things are taking longer to load or if I'm too impatient.*G*

@vickyday How are you feeling today, hope not too sore. I trip over my own feet and can choke on air. hehehe

@taxed4ever Did you revel in the peace and quiet of your house? I bet you did!
If he is anything like my FIL, he will have most of it done before you even get there
Yup, you know my dad! That is why we are leaving so early, we hope to head off the worst of him doing too much.

@BrightEyes I hope the weather is like what you are having now for the balloon festival. Great news about the mammo! Always a relief.
Stupid question, what brand of shot did you get? When I signed up, it gave me the option of Moderna (my first shots) and Pfizer (my last booster). I had reactions to all of them. I googled if one had less than the other but couldn't find any info.
Hope that whichever one you got, you aren't having side effects.

@bcgal00 I bet Remi is loving the walks and dog park visits a lot too! How is Taz, will he go out with you as well?
That is really exciting that you have everything booked for the trip, when do you leave? Next week?
You have all of my good thoughts that the right house is waiting for you.

@LSlycord That's so awesome that you had fun at Bunco! And also that you are reading a local author for a book club. I am proud of you, I know it is easier to stay in our comfort zones so -- good job!

@Cherylndesigns I am getting the covid and flu shots together like I did last year. I think Cait is going to get one soon too since she works on campus- lots of exposure. I probably don't "need" it but since I am with my parents so often, I don't want to put them at risk.
That was smart of you to hire Jaxon to do the heavy lifting/mulch. Now that Scott moved out, I was eyeing the front lawn yesterday. It's going to need one more mowing and I never know if Gary will be up to it. The last time I mowed the lawn I got an awful, horrible, itchy bad case of poison ivy and wouldn't do it again.

Doodle Eye! :giggle: BFFs dog Georgia is some kind of Doodle Muppet Dog, and like I said, the side-eye... mmmm-hmmmm!
Time to get b-fast and brush my hair and teeth, see you tomorrow!

Good morning ladies! I'm trying to right my wrongs by getting in here early today. Now if I can just get it posted instead of wandering away and forgetting to post.

I finished all of my PDU's for my PMP (professional development hours for my project management certification). I have until mid-December but I didn't want to wait in case things don't go quite as planned with all of the heart stuff. If you don't complete 60 hours every 3 years, you lose your certification. I remember 3 years ago, wondering if I would still be doing this kind of work now. I am pretty confident that this is the last time that I am certifying. These credentials will take me up through 69...and I don't think I'll be PM'ing at age 69.

The lady who hosted the BUNCO had stopped by on Sunday to borrow a card table and we had visited a bit. Turns out she is a big quilter and I shared that I wanted to be a quilter. She has only lived here since April and really doesn't know anyone and so she invited me to come over and do some quilting with her on Saturday afternoon then order dinner delivered. I am pushing myself and it helps me not miss Syd so much.

Sydney did point out that the tags on her car expired 10/23. Well, the tags on all of the cars expire this month. In Iowa, we had until the end of the month. Here, they actually expire at midnight on my birthday. So I'm going to go at lunch and get the new tags. Then Sunday, we will make a quick trip to Gainesville to get her tags on the car before 10/10.

And that is everything about me! I'll be back to do some quick personals.

HA! I know what you mean! At least, in the last couple of years I have been pretty clumsy!
No, it isn't just you! The site is slow as molasses! Probably all of the DSD activity!
I am feeling better today!

Yes, the site has been running slow for the past few days. Not sure what is causing it.

I got the Pfizer for all my Covid shots. I am running a low temp and have a sore arm this morning. Decided I am going to have a PJ day and kick-back most of the day. Had to pull out my heavy housecoat to wear as it only 50F right now!! Yep, have on a pair of mid-weight PJs and bed-socks. Those are a real sign that Fall has arrived.

I watched "The Man With No Face" DVD last night. Enjoyed it. Oh... I meant to mention that I watched "A Man Called Otto" with Tom Hanks on Netflix last week. It was really good - even though it was about a man with depression - and neighbors he interacts with. It is based on the book "A Man Called Ovo". I feel like I have a wealth of movies to watch with my DVDs and Netflix and AppleTV. Not to mention all my books. :rotfl:

@LSlycord Glad you got the PM certification done. Glad Syd reminded you about the license plate renewal before they ran out. Yes, in NM ours expires on the date, too. Which reminds me I need to get my driver's license renewal appointment set up... it runs out on Oct 30th. As a senior, we don't have the luxury of 30 days before and 30 days after out birthday to renew it. I used to play Bunco - it was so much fun. Glad you are playing it. Enjoy learning how to quilt.

Good Morning!
I'm not as sore today, thankfully! And the catch-breath doesn't hurt as much either! I really expected today to be much worse since it is the 3rd day after the fall. But, I'll take it!
I worked on a couple of challenge pages yesterday and a couple of bike pages that I need to get posted. I'm thinking today needs to be pj day, too, @BrightEyes !
I'm planning on doing chicken, baked potatoes and green beans for supper before church tonight.
Other than that I will probably scrap all day!
Have a great day!

@faerywings I love how much time you are spending with Scott. :hug3: I know that makes your mama's heart happy! I'm concerned about Shaun...he won't even go look for a job. He is keeping up with school but that's all he does. And it isn't that taxing. Whenever I try talking to him, he just gets mad and goes back to his room. :sad1: I know the past 3 years have been hard for him but he needs to get out of the house and try to make some friends. Hope you have a great day helping your dad.

@BrightEyes good for you...getting some new DVDs, just in case you need to take it really slow after the shot. A PJ day sounds perfect.

@vickyday I am so glad that you are feeling better today. I still have pain in my shoulder from the fall that I took with the dog a year ago. It has made me more cautious for sure. I'd actually like to do some balance exercises...maybe after I make it through a few other issues. And my birthdate is 10/10 and I will be 66. Syd's birthday is March 1 but the car is titled in my name so the tags go with my birthdate. I love October birthdays...love the ways the leaves change. But that doesn't happen for me anymore.

@bcgal00 so glad that the cruise is right around the corner. Is Jen going on this one? I don't remember. And glad that the weather has you getting the dogs out and enjoying the weather.

@Cherylndesigns love that you had some good strong help with the yard work...and the clay pots. I love those things but they are so heavy!

@taxed4ever hope that you had a productive day yesterday!

HAGD all!

Morning ladies... I am off to my hike this morning it is very foggy so I sure hope that burns off soon! The drive to the hike will take about 45 mins and I am still not packed so I have to make this quick!! I finally had my x-ray yesterday and the dr. has ordered a CT Scan but I have no idea when that will be. Hope I hear the results of the x-ray in the next couple of days. Yes the site has been running very slow the past couple of days, it took me all morning just to get the coupons sent to the challenge winners yesterday. I hope that you all have a lovely Wednesday!! Sorry no personals today, I gotta dash!! :eek3:

Good morning. Wow, what a wonderful feeling to look out of my office door and see NOTHING on the patio! The only thing I saved was the huge catnip plant that was in the three-tiered planter. It's now in it's own pot sitting right at the corner of the patio. The plant was huge, but the root ball wasn't nearly as big as I thought it would be. Jaxon dug it up for me and it fit right in an empty clay pot that I already had. They keep mosquitoes away - who knew? I went out on the front porch last night and savored the cleanliness of it, too. He power washed the back and the front porch and does it look better! He's a good kid - said if we needed help with anything to just let him know. He's going to pick up some more mulch for me too, next time he goes to Lowe's.

I'm working on the Week 1 AJ challenge and am almost done with it. I made a page for CK Halloween and a page for SD Embrace The Journey. They both release tomorrow.

Chris @faerywings do they still offer the flu shot separate? I figure they'll eventually roll them both together anyway. Glad you're hearing from Scott so much and enjoy your time with him today. And yes, the site is running very slowly. I finally gave up last night and just tried to lot out and it wouldn't even let me. I just went and worked on layouts. There hopefully is a lot of traffic from all the sales - that's what I was thinking anyway.

Linda @LSlycord yes, those pots are gorgeous, but SO heavy. Good news about your certification and how cool that you met a quilter. I've never tried that - don't think I have the patience, but people love it and I love quilts!

Trudy @taxed4ever have a good hike and hope the fog lifts.

Kay @BrightEyes enjoy your movies and sounds like a great pj day. Hope your arm isn't too sore today.

Vicky @vickyday glad you're not too sore today and it doesn't hurt as badly to take a breath.

Hugs to everybody and have a good day.
