:mmph:
I think I need to go back to bed and start my day over. That's what I used to do when Caitlyn would have a toddler meltdown, I would tuck her back into bed and then "wake" her back up so she could start fresh. However... I might just need to go back to sleep and not bother waking up until tomorrow. ha!!!
Would you all believe the nuttiness of my food shopping if I shared it with you? Of course, you would! Yesterday, early morning right after I posted here, I logged into my ShopRite account and went to finalize the order. It was already being processed so I couldn't change it at all. I call the store and they aren't sure what to do. They tell me to place another order and then they would combine the two.
(Backstory: I throw a few things in the cart to reserve my spot since it is often difficult to get spots but that far in advance, I often don't know what I need or what will be on sale. I go back to the order the day before my pick-up, edit the cart and finalize it all)
Things most definitely did not go as they had suggested to me on the phone b/c this morning, I never got a text from the service with the final order details/substitution requests. Log in and there is only the order that I placed yesterday, set to be picked up on Thursday and not including the items that were in the order that was processed earlier. I literally have no idea when and what I am getting my food. :faint:
Actually, unless I hear from them this morning I am assuming it will be tomorrow and only the stuff I ordered yesterday which means I won't have milk, but we have shelf-stable milk I can use for cooking. This is making me crazy!!! I spend the majority of my time fighting over the shopping orders.
No wonder I don't sleep! :pound:

Yesterday was fine, my parents looked so tired when they came up. My mom called me later to let me know that they were ok, just not sleeping well. I get that. I am glad that it wasn't raining yesterday so we could be in the yard.
I have no idea what I am doing today since I was going to get food and then use that food to make a time-consuming dinner. Homemade Hawaiian bread, filled with a cheesy dip and Hawaiian fried rice with the pork on the side for Gary, Scott, and me. The ingredients won't be here today... pfft.
My poor Ray had accidents two nights in a row but I can't steam clean since it is supposed to rain the next few days. The rugs will never dry. Maybe I will bake up some dog treats instead. That will make them happy.

I am sorry for being so darn cranky every morning. I am tired and cold and my brain hurts.

Gratitudes:
-fuzzy socks and warm puppies to keep me cozy
-the watching machine tech *thinks* that the new valves he changed will keep the machine from breaking down again (heard that before so -- a grain of salt and all that)
-hugs from my kids and Gary

Hugs to all of you too!!

Gratitude: That I don't live near Kay!!!! Holy guacamole all of that :smow:
Things could be worse, that is for sure.

Argh!! I think-- argh!? Got a text from ShopRite that my order is ready for pick up.... today. In an hour. Bwuahahah!!!!!!
My goodness... I don't even know. Guess I should reformulate my day. Who remembers Flubber?? That is what my brain feels like!!!
th

Man, the world could use a bit of Robin Williams these days.

So I guess I need to make this quick so I can get ready to head out soon.

Kay- I hope that the snow melts quickly for you and that you have no issues with power and all that.
I am sorry to hear that your sister is still having issues with COVID. The long-term effects sound like they are quite debilitating. :( Tell her that I am thinking of her!

Trudy- How was your chat with the kids yesterday? ITA, with swimming, as long as you are getting out and moving, that is a GREAT thing!! Can you ask them to let you know if an earlier time slot opens up?
Good work getting so much scrapping done too!

Rae- how did physio go? How long will you need to be doing that? Hope that you aren't too sore, I remember that after my ankle PT.
I will check out Departure. Gary and I are happy that Season 8 of Homeland is on Hulu.

Vicky- sorry for spelling your name wrong yesterday. I guess with the two other Vicki's here, I automatically spelled it that way.
Yes, the Mass is built around the Eucharist- and Catholics believe that the bread/wine literally changes into body/blood. That freaked me out so much when I was a kid. LOL
I hear you about the weather and sinus issues. Same here, and with the leaves coming down I am sneezing my head off.

Betty Jo- how fun to spend time with your grand DDs. Do you get to see them often? Caitlyn always says how if she could talk to animals she would love it. That is really neat about reliving your childhood in the movie.
All four of my family have late-stage Lyme so being on meds is nothing new. The kids and I are in remission but Gary is disabled from it and hasn't been off meds in years and years. Except for the times he would stubbornly take himself off and then BAM! Big time relapses. But this is mainly switching him from 2 different abx to 2 ones he hadn't been on in a while. I wondered if she would put him back on a PICC line again but I guess will try this.

Cheryl- the trucks are going to be muddy for sure- glad it is rain and not snow. My dad said that NJ might be getting snow over the weekend, maybe?
Good thoughts for nice weather so the construction stays on track.
I am so sad for you, I know how much it kills my parents to not see the kids often but yours are literally *right there*! Sending you lots of hugs
No one in my family is handling the upcoming holidays well either.

I am off to grab a quick shower and then pick up groceries(maybe??? LOL) at the store. xoxoxox!!!!!!!!!

Morning O family! It will be a non hiking day for me today, it is pouring rain where the hike is, yet no rain here where I live. The weather is so crazy between here and the hill that you have to go over to get to the hike. Its like a totally different weather zone. (if that makes any sense) So today I will concentrate on completing all of my half done projects! Wish me luck! The pool was great yesterday as I had a lane to myself for the most of the hour. A lady came very late and joined me for the last 20 mins, but it was all good. Met a friend in the parking lot after swimming, she had some Norwex Christmas catalogues to give me as she ordered way too many. It was nice to chat with her and catch up. By the time I got home and showered it was late in the afternoon and I did manage to work a bit on some Halloween cards for the neighbour kids. Then it was time to get supper, make DH's lunch for the next day and settle into watching some TV before getting to bed. I did not sleep very well, the temps have risen and our new flannel sheets are so warm that I had a night of throwing off the covers and constantly waking up in a sweat. :mmph: guess I should put the cooler sheets back on for tonight. Poor Heather has Hunter home today, he is supposed to be in school, but he has a runny nose and so he has to stay home. Mason is feeling ok, but we will see how long it will take for him to also catch this little cold.

Chris - Yes, some mornings it would be great to just have a do-over! Sounds like some crazy things are happening with your Store's website and I sure hope you end up getting everything that you ordered!! It seems that your Mom and Dad are suffering from bad sleep, just like the rest of us! I am glad that you got to have a visit though, its so hard to not be able to see them more often! Don't worry about thinking you are cranky, we are all in the same boat my friend! We will get through this together!! I hope that you have a decent day!

Rae - DH and I started to watch Departure, but we were not impressed with Christopher Plumbers role, I know he is getting up there in age, but seems like they only give him two lines to say every once in a while. Maybe we need to give it another try. Hope your PT went well yesterday and yes it would be great to be pain free again! I will keep my fingers crossed that it happens for you soon!

Vicky - Nice to see you here and I hope that you are learning the ropes and having fun! Hope that the weather improves for you and your sinus troubles!

Betty Jo - That is sad that you can't go to the pool! Sounds like you had a wonderful time with the grands over the those two days! Nice to watch movies together, sure wish I could do that!

Cheryl - Yes I do love my swimming time at the pool, it is freeing and I lose myself in the warm water. I listen to my music and drift away to another place for an hour. It's a bonus that it is also good exercise for me too! Hope that you and your DH get to see the kids and grands again soon!

Ok now I have had my face time with Heather and Hunter, its time to get into the shower and get going with my day! Have a lovely one everyone, do something that makes you smile today!

Hello to all of you Sweetie-O's.

Raining here - again. We caught a break yesterday and I got to get outside with Daisy. Ava came by with some paint chips for me to choose our interior colors! YAY - that's a big step! I had chosen a color months ago, but of course, they don't make that anymore, so she took my moodboard (on her phone) and picked several strips that were close. She didn't tell me which color she picked, but I picked the same one and then Chuck picked the same one! How's that for all of being "in sync"? It's a beautiful soft, warm "tan" color called "Willow Bough". It was SO good to see her even if she didn't come in. Chuck came out on the porch and talked to her and Daisy went nuts and started running around like a crazy dog. It's killing me not to see them!

They're texturizing our walls today and then they'll paint them. The rolls of sod are up there and they're laying that, too. I'd like to go up this evening and take pictures.

Still no results for Braden's GF. Darn it - why do people have to wait so long? I think it's because we live in the middle of nowhere - they have rapid tests everywhere else. We're thinking that by the time Hayden (GF) gets her results back, we'll be able to see the kids again.

Chris, I know you sorry when your parents look tired. I know how we all worry about each other. My oldest daughter called me yesterday to see how I was holding up not being able to see the kids.

Trudy, enjoy your swim. I know it must be as good for your soul as it is for your body.

Kay, so far, no snow here - it can stay away for awhile, as far as I'm concerned. Rain is bad enough!

Ona just reminded me that I'm hosting Vicki's Momma O November challenge. Yikes! My "dozing brain" really blanked on that one. I'm off to try to figure out what I need to do. Must throw brain into high gear.

Have a good Wednesday, all.
Hugs

Good morning, ladies. Dreary day here, lots of rain. Physio went well, they put me on the table, strapped me in and did 35 lb spine stretching. It felt good. He said I'm progressing extremely well, what???...to me if feels like forever now, its been almost 2 mths. He figures I will always be susceptable to strain and advanced spurring/stenosis but if I keep up with the exercises and strengthening and be good about body movements I might never have all the disc bulging again. He figures I'll be going to him every 2 wks for another couple of months and then maybe every 3-4 wks for awhile to keep building up my exercise regime. I'm lucky that I got away with minimal flares and pain these past 25 years but I knew someday it would catch up to me b/c the arthritis has been building up over the years from 2 different accidents. Good thing I'm diligent about my health and will do what I need to do. Today, D is off to costco for me and Jen took Noel to the vet. He is still hanging in there but somewhat is till wrong, they just can't figure out what. He may need home IV treatments now. They are doing x-rays and blood work and then if they can't figure it out, an ultrasound. Jen is willing to spend to the money to try to prolong his time. We all love Noel so much so hopefully we'll have him around for awhile.

It's that time of year when I start reading only "feel good" kind of stories, not wanting to read thrillers/murder stories as we come into the thxgiving/xmas season. I started The Winter Lodge by Susan Wiggs.

Chris - your dogs are so lucky, getting homemade treats. With all the cooking/baking I do for us, I have no time left over for treats for Taz and changes are he'd be allergic anyway LOL. Glad your parents are ok but hope their sleep improves.

Trudy - sucky weather today eh? Have fun working on yuor projects today.

I'm getting to work for the morning but the afternoon shouldn't be too busy. I sure like not having the other client to work for. My schedule is so much more manageable now.

So, away I go....BFN

Bit late getting in here today. Finally got through to the Base Pharmacy to see if they had received the RX from the Gastro doc. Took two 20 minute calls [1st one hung up on at 19 minutes...got through on the 2nd call thank goodness]. Yes, they had the Rx but it not one they usually stock so will have to order in - maybe there by next week. Turns out that they have been closed all week until today so no deliveries of meds until next week. The snow has been melting... slowly but the roads are icy and slick with lots of accidents yesterday/today. Glad I chose to not go anywhere until maybe tomorrow or Friday. Still have about 6" of snow on patio on the swing and tables/chairs... plus some in the yard. Didn't lose power as most of the lines are buried in our neighborhood.

Rae, glad to hear you are coming along with PT on your back. I know it seems like a long time for recovery but it took me several months to recuperate. Slow but steady is the watchword. Understand why reading 'feel good' books is the way to go. I have some that I have been re-reading to keep my spirits up.

Cheryl, hope that the blizzard misses your area as it is still really bad in the eastern part of NM and into the TX panhandle. Glad you got the paint color and you all agreed on it.

Gotta run... phone call from DD. CYL

Kay, sounds like a process to get your meds. Be careful in that snow! You just triggered me to look at the forecast. No snow forecase - so far anyway. We're sure not ready for that! Who is? LOL Yes, it was great to all agree on our paint color - they're going to start painting tomorrow!! YAY

I wanted to tell you all that Braden's GF tested negative!!! We're all so relieved! I know there's that "unknown period and all" but we're all so relieved! The kids came over tonight and we socially distanced, but at least got to see them. They've both had it (back in Florida) so we wish we knew if you can get it again. My hubby kept his distance and we all did a group hug. I just couldn't stand not to see them any longer!

I'm working on my challenge for Vicki - Momma-O - have my layout done and theme and Ona's going to help me post it. In case you notice that it's not in the work area - I'm "working" on it. LOL It's my first challenge to host, so wish me luck.

Hope everybody is having a good night.
