GoooOd morning! How is the O-Fam doing today?
Right now, I am cold! The temps dropped overnight and I wasn't prepared. I am cleaning later today so so I threw on shorts but I think I need to put on leggings instead.
It is supposed to warm up again by Saturday so that will be nice for me.

Yesterday was a long one for me. I got to the hospital to check at 9.30. I didn't get back to my home until 1 pm. There was a medical emergency and the MRI machine was needed so I got bumped. The staff gave me a voucher to go to the coffee shop and get a cup of coffee or tea but I figured that last thing that I needed to do was ingest more caffeine before I got stuck having to lie still for the test. I mentioned on my intake paperwork that I have bursitis and the tech said No problem, that I could keep my arms at my sides. He was surprised that they didn't give me that option last time. Now I know to request that position if I have to go back for another one next year.

I popped into the dollar store on my way home and picked up a couple of dog toys which the pups were having a blast with. Why do dogs feel the necessity of ripping of the covering off a tennis ball? :noidea:

we also heard back from the mchanic- the car that Scott was looking at needed *tons* of work- all 4 brakes, leaky hoses, head gaskets, timing belt. He got his deposit back and now he needs to start looking all over again. But thank goodness he found all of this out before he bought it.

Today, I have to call the vet. W is still having diarrhea and I am not sure how long after the first round of treatment that should continue. The parasite attaches itself to the intestinal lining so the poor girl must be all irritated inside.

I also want to see what info I can find out about this upcoming Executive Order from F-ingDT (I apologize. I have never ever used the F word as much as I am right now in reference to him and now it has become reflexive) that is going to sabaotage the insurance market even more. I wish that there was *one* day-- just a single day that I didn't have to worry about my health insurance or that of my kids since Congrass hasn't gotten around to renewing funding for CHIP (children's health ins. program) that my kids get their ins through. :yell: Pfft!!!!

So that is about it from me. I have a headache-- is it any wonder???

HUGS!!!

Again! I start the day here as such a downer. :sorry:
Thankfully, I can vent a lot of this out here so I don't end up carrying it around with me all day.

Wait.
Do I???
:pound:
I don't think that I do.

It could always be worse. I have a roof over my head, food on the table, a family filled with love. Puppy and rat snuggles. It is all good.

Nancy- how exciting that the devils won and by a lot! That is awesome that the rookies are doing so well.
Uh oh! There will be some sparks flying some more with the Yankees and Cleveland playing. Don't you and Jean make me have to come over and give you 2 girls a talking to. hahaha!!!

Trudy- your Thanksgiving sounds like it was wonderful. But I know what you mean about spending too much time in the kitchen. I hate when I "hostess' and feel like I didn't get to talk to anyone.Must have been so fun to be with the grands.
Did you have fun at the concert?

Rae- I think how you felt yesterday is how Gary is feeling today. It is nice when the pups are feeling good and sleeping through the night, not so good when they are sick. Hope everyone is doing much better today. Good luck with your work.

Felis, Jean, and everyone that I am missing-- xoxoxo!!!

Yesterday was so strange, busy and bad organized day. It's going so dark at 19:30 and this is so disappointing. I never been afraid from the dark. I even love to stay and watch the stars. But after we was robbed this summer, at the day before yesterday I just freaking out when I heard that in my neighbor someone breaks glass. I go immediately to check and I try to peered through the fence, but it was at the height part. So I just call: "Who's there?!" and fortunately her grandson answer me. What I was thinking about?! :dizzy: Probably he is decided that I'm some strange lady who gossips through the fence. They also are changed the windows and he remove the glass, so to can burn the old wood frame. But I didn't know he is come, because she live alone and they comes only at the weekend or like in this cases after work and now this is at the dark. I hate to feel so weak! I hope soon to bring back my comfort zone and cool mind! My family wasn't there at that time and told me that I'm react too overstate. But like I said they wasn't there!
So yesterday I was very chaotic and difficult to concentrate.

Chris, here is sunny and warm, so I hope you to have same weather soon. So good that this time your MRI goes easier for your your shoulder! May be the covering off a tennis ball remind of fur or something like that, I'm not sure. I prefer rubber toys because I can wash them easily and actually we never tried tennis ball. But I sterilize really carefully these plastic balls from my roll-ons and give them to the cats, they like it and I have so many of them so it's not problem when they lose it somewhere.

Rae, so sad that you not received the celebration that you deserve! Of course every family can remember one holiday like this. So I hope you'll be compensated with lovely Christmas! Here we don't eat turkey. Don't have many turkey and this is one of examples how animals who aren't useful just are not grown, so like vegetarians we help they to not exist, but this is totally out of topic, what I was start to told... hmm... oh yes!... we don't eat turkey, so for me is strange to be repeat that meal for two holidays. We traditionally (not me :) ) eat pig for Christmas and chicken for New year. My mom made fabulous chicken with potato in beer. Maybe will be fun you to try something keto that will like to the whole family. Poor Taz, hope feel good soon! They are such a naughty kids!

Trudy, your Thanksgiving sounds awesome! Especially like this about the kids with lego, this is so sweet for me, when they play with lego or one of these wood clubs like puzzle. Hope you are take a photos to make a layout about that! I often miss to capture just this most precious moments. I was really disappointed when revised my photo collection for one layout with the life tree.

Nancy, so good that you have warm weather. We too! It's so good that you are retired, hope it is with good circumstances! The last few years the system here has been so complicated, so many people of your well known persons circle was disappointed. Hmm, I don't know how is the English word for someone that is not exactly your friend, but you meet often like coworker and neighbor?! I work only part time and from home, so when the bosses give us materials on time it's not so bad, as if should stay locked at office like my friends. But the tricky part is that I'm not so good in control myself to not been distracted.

Jean, hope you are Ok and have a lovely day!

Today I'm on the rush to put back all at the plan :car:! Hope all of you to have a lovely day!

good morning - today we are expecting some rain showers. I have to be in this am as the water meter man is coming. They claim between 8 and noon so no morning walk for Luther. He is starting to be really itching again and scratching so I spent a boat load of money on trying to figure out what if anything he is allergic too. Luckily it is just a blood test. But it is a lot but man you really want him feel better! Got home and my son had a day off and all of a sudden no power. But luckily or unluckily depending on how I look at it know how to call to report. They got it back on in about 90 min but darn it is such a bummer to not know how long it is going last with out power. But that meant no cooking dinner just leftovers. Watched the opening ceremony for the new NHL team the Vegas Golden Knights and it was pretty moving. And they won which I like except it was against the AZ Coyotes who I thought would be better but they still need a lot of work. Tonight my team plays in Toronto vs the Leafs. It should be an exciting game. I will be flipping to the Yankees game during breaks. That too should be an exciting game. And I did get some scrapping done so that too was great.

Just a good deed I saw yesterday. I watch Kelly and Ryan in the morning and they have this phone call they make and then try to give away a trip if the person on the phone knows the answer. Well they called a woman who had just gotten out of the hospital after a mastectomy and she had not watched the show. But they gave her an easy question so she could win. Believe me this show never just gives trips away.

Chris yes the temps fell this morning but I like it as long as it is not freezing. Yes I would wear leggings not shorts. Glad you had the car checked out before buying. Very smart! You never know with used cars. That was great with the MRI and being able to keep your arms down. And you will not have to step between Jean and I. As much as I like the Yankees if the Indians win I will be happy.

Felis I would be nervous too if I had been robbed and I then heard breaking glass from my neighbors home. I doubt I would have been brave enough to check it out. I am sure that you will figure out the work home balance.

Trudy your holiday sounds fun and busy and lots of food - so sorry you got stuck in the kitchen. I saw your page on your granddaughter and I hope for her generation too!

Rae hope things are going with Jen and Bailey. Hope Taz is good.

Jean good luck to your team!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... brrr it is chilly this morning and lots of fog on the Lake at the bottom of the hill. I will be missing my hike today as I have a dentist appt. and I don't think I would make it back in time if I went on the hike. It will be a long one today 11 kilometres but not a difficult one and a new one for the hiking group so I am kind of bummed out that I will be missing it! Oh well I guess we will do it again one day. So I will keep myself busy around the house this morning instead. Having some issues with our dishwasher for the past few days. It doesn't seem to want to turn on sometimes, nothing happens when you push the buttons and then sometimes it works :noidea: It is getting old so perhaps it is time for a new one. Ugh I don't want to have to replace it, it is such a quiet dishwasher and has always worked really well. But I don't want it to die on me over Christmas either. DH will look at it tonight and see if it is something obvious and easy to fix. Hope to get a page done today and catch up with some commenting in the gallery too. Oh the Burton Cummings Concert was very good, it was just him and his piano and he sang most of his most popular songs and a few that we have never heard him sing before. His voice is still strong and the same as when he was younger. He will be 70 in December, so he does amazingly well with his voice and his piano skills. It was a lovely evening of good music and good company!

Chris - So nice that you did not have to lay in an uncomfortable position during your MRI, nice to know you have that option for the next time too! Funny how the dogs love to tear the skin off the outside of a tennis ball, my son's dog does the same thing. Sure hope that poor Whisky feels better soon! Vent away my faery friend, life is difficult sometimes and we all need a shoulder once in awhile. We are here for ya!!

Felis - Glad that your weather is nice and sunny and warm! Yikes about the breaking glass next door! I would have been frightened too, you are very brave to have investigated it! I did not get a photo of the kids building their lego, darn it!! I get so busy with other things that I often forget to capture the special moments, we did get some photos of the kids when we were on our hike, so I will try to scrap a page about that. I hope you are able to get more organized for your work today!

Nancy - Isn't it a pain when they give you such a long span of time to come and read your water metre! Really do they think people don't have anything else to do but to sit around and wait for them :gaah: Sorry that Luther is scratching again, hope you get to the bottom of the problem! Power outage to deal with also last night, you were not having a good day! How awesome that the show gave out that vacation to that poor woman, there is hope that the world still has some good in it! Thanks for the nice love on my page, I really worry about what state the world will be in for our grandkids! Hope you enjoy your hockey and baseball later on!

Rae - Hope that you got a great sleep last night and are feeling better today! I am sure that you are very busy with your work today, but hope that you have some time for yourself at some point! Keeping my fingers crossed that you hear from Bailey soon! You must be very worried about her!

:hello: to you Jean and anyone else who pops in here today! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Good morning, ladies. I am dragging my feet today. I'm so tired. Taz is still sick from the turkey so he had me up 5 times throughout the night so I'm pretty sure I only got about 2 hrs of intermittent sleep. Poor little guy. If he's not feeling better over the next few days I'll talk to the vet about it. Maybe he'll need something to settle his stomach down. I brought him to daycare and told them to watch him and explained the situation. He'll be exhausted tonight when I bring him home.

I've got tons of work to do. The new schedule isn't supposed to start until Nov but the other doctor sent me all of yesterdays' files. No complaints, as it means more money but I wasn't expecting it to happen yet. I'm still trying to catch up from the full coverage I did for her last week. So I won't be scrapping much at all this week. But I'm not complaining, more money, I enjoy working at home and can take breaks when I want to, so just need to get used to scrapping less than I used to with my busier work day.

Chris - glad that you were told you could put your arms to your side. An hour in discomfort with your arms overhead sounded terrible, especially as you would be just lying there with nothing to distract you from the pain. That sucks about the car Scott was looking at but yes, good to find out now not later about all the necessary repairs. Fingers crossed he finds something good soon.

Trudy - too bad you'll miss your hike but you know there will be more hiking days and hopefully they will go back to that one again. Hope you get the dishwasher problem figured out.

Nancy - hope Luther is ok. So nice to hear of the woman getting an easy question to get the trip. Love to hear of kindness in the world.

Felis - yes, I understand your apprehension about the dark and noises. We've had a few break-ins over the years and it has made me more cautious. I always lock my front door, at all times of the day. I never walk Taz along the river path in the dark. In a dark parking lot I like to hold my keys in my hand so I can stab out with them if needed. Sounds like such dark thoughts, but so much happens in our busy, over-populated area that its common-sense to be careful, be watchful, especially being a woman.

Jean - hope all is well.

I'm getting my coffee refill and getting to work now and won't be back online until later this afternoon. Have a great day, everyone!
