this week seems to be going very slowly, or is it just me? I am looking fwd to the weekend- which is most likely why it feels like it is crawling. Friday my SIL and I have an appt at the spa!! My mom used to get us GC's for Christmas and this one is 2 years old, so we better use it before we lose it! Her b-day is Friday, then her party is Saturday and then I have a get together here on Sunday. I am doing another House Party, this time for Peanut Butter. And football, Go Giants :cheer2:

We got great news yesterday that we were approved for a loan modification through the HAMP program. We were able to reduce out interest rate by a couple of percentage points and that gives us a bit of breathing room to be better able to pay for Gary's meds. Whew! I have to thank Clara and Sally for telling me about this program last year. I didn't think we were eligible since we weren't behind on payments nor underwater, but Gary's disability counted as hardship. (And let me tell ya, it *is* hardship hahaah!!))

Off to the supermarket today to grumble about food prices and picky eaters..... ;)

Oh-- and if you like Steve Carell and goofy, inappropriate comedies-- we watched Dinner With Schmucks last night. Have to say I hadn't laughed at a movie in a long time like I did with this one.

I want to scrap today!
I wish I had amazing mojo and creative talent!
I want my house to clean itself........

love ya!!

I am running slightly late si I have be to be quick here!

Phyllis- Its so funny how I get your weather a day after you :) It did stop being so windy- but it stayed deceptively cold- The sun was so bright and the dog wanted to walk, but brrrrr, I was freezing out there!
hahaah! Your line about complaining!! Love it.

Aw, Laurie- I cannot imagine you having a bad attitude! Good luck with work and getting stuff done!

Terry- how did this meeting go? I am with you on the driving inthe dark- I can't see at night and if I don't know where I am going, I drive real slow, and make the people behind me very aggravated, i think. But best bet to be safe!

Nancy- what did your DS think of Jury Duty? Would you believe I have never been to Jury Duty? Every time I had been called I either had the work and no time off, babies at home, or I was very sick. I would actually enjoy going except for my Courthouse is in Paterson NJ. I would prefer very much to stay out of that War Zone, for real.... :(

Trudy, I am soooooo happy dancing over here for you DD!!!!!! Amazing and wonderful news!! She is going to do great and I bet it is going to make her so happy to feel that she has a purpose in daily life. I know how much it kills gary to feel that he does nothing day after day.

Phyllis -- I am with you-- no way would I let Gary do the food shopping unless I want him to spend twice as much %% and only come home with ice cream and donuts!
Maybe a few bags of chips....
LOL

Nancy-- good work with your boys!!! Their wives must be very happy too!

Gotta FLY!!!!! XOXOXOXOXO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

morning O fam- another work day looms- I think I am having a hormone/stress week- ughh there is nothing worse than having some little thing get to you and you just want to burst into tears- fight or flight is not good when you want to lose weight. I am sticking with the work out and healthy eating, drinking tons of water so that is good.

hi, younz guys. (as we say in my home town.) honestly, we have the worst acent and the most unique colloquial slang on earth around here. i could go on and on....

Chris, a SPA!!! wow. i can't even imagine it. i would love to find a really good masseuse. i would give up a lot of other things to just be able to have someone knead my muscles once a week. and i can't believe that you've never been called for jury duty! honestly, they've gotten me about 6 times in my ife. i always had to go in, but then when i told them that my hubby worked in their office, they would always just send me home, because no one would ever pick me for a jury. now that i have a lot of time, i would LOVE to get picked, but, of course, NOW they don't call me for it.

Terry, i am so with you about driving in the dark. the lights just kill me. hope your meeting went well.

today i have to make some almond flour low carb carrot cake for me. i made an apple pie for The Hubby yesterday, so i deserve something that i can actually eat. i tend to eat stuff like that for breakfast, because i can't eat cereal or toast (something easy) and i think i would :puke: if i tried to cook scrambled eggs or something in the morning. so. almond flour carrot cake it is. then i think i might head over to the Apple store and give them a demonstration of the odd charging behaviors of my various Apple iPods. some work with the original Apple charger, some don't. and in very random ways. i'll see if i can stump the Genius Bar.

how'd it get to be Wednesday already??

good morning - My son was totally shocked at just how long and how strange jury selection is. He said the prosecutor declared the jury was acceptable and then the defense have several removed and the process continued. I laughed as I think he has watched too many Law&Order TV shows where the whole case is over in an hour. Phylis I can so relate about being called and never serving. The one time I did get selected and sat through the whole case only to selected as an alternate and did not even get to vote. LOL

For it was a good day as my prospects for hockey this year have increased from zero to there really might be a season. The owners finally made an offer that is reasonable so now if will be up to the players.

Chris - that day at the Spa sounds delightful!

Laurie - l awesome attitude - I wish I could drink more water

Have a great day!

A quick run through for me!! I am all alone at home..but I have so much cleaning to do to catch up....got so far behind the last two weeks!! YUCK!!!

Maybe I will just break it off around noon and scrap for a bit...probably not...as the kids are out of school early tomorrow, out on Friday....so I won't have any other chance to get my cleaning done!!

Another busy weekend ahead....I really really need to scrap!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning ladies... slept in til 7 this morning, wonder if I will pay for that tonight? Lots of cleaning for me today too, change the sheets on the bed, :washing: then I have to go back to Staples, because the guy who sold me my new desk said that because we also bought new chairs there he would give me back $100.00 from the price of my desk. Woot!! How great is that!! My sister is coming over today also, she is borrowing my van to take to the airport, she is headed to vegas and taking her daughter and granddaughter with them so they need lots of room for baby stuff and things. We are switching vehicles for a few days. I get to drive her Mercedes!!! I'm a little nervous about it, but she trusts me and she says , hey its only a car!!

Chris - Please don't wish the week away yet, I'm on my day off and I want it to last for a long time!! LOL. Thanks for the nice words for my daughter, it will make her feel more confident I'm sure and give her a purpose in life!

Laurie - You have an amazing attitude!! Try not to let the little things get to you sweetie, you are an awesome person and such a dedicated soul, you know we all love you here at the "O"!!

Phylis - I would love to hear your accent, lots of people say that we Canadians have a bit of an accent too, but frankly I don't hear it?? We do say eh a lot LOL!! Can I go with you to the apple store? We don't have one close by us, but would love to hang out and learn so much from the Genius guys there!! Your breakfast sounds yummy! I can't eat breakfast right away when I get up it bothers my tummy so I usually wait and eat later, probably not good for me, but why force something that makes you feel yucky!!

Nancy - LOL on your son watching too much Law and Order on TV, my hubby (RCMP officer) always laughs at those shows, because there is no way things happen that quickly with the justice system!! I have been choosen for jury duty about a dozen times, but because of my hubby's job I am not eligible to serve. One was a big murder case too, I would have loved to have been a part of that!

Terry - drive safely!!

Nana Linda - to you too, you are one busy Nana! Hope you get a few minutes during your day to get some scrapping done! We miss you here!

Well off to get the bed stripped and get going with the laundry and vacuuming. Sister should be here around noon. Hmmmm think she will want lunch? What to make??
Have a great Wednesday everyone, hope its filled with creative energy!

Trudy, there are certain British accents that our accent here sounds a bit like. not the Downton Abbey sort. kind of Cockney, only more drawn out (or "aaaaaht," as it goes here.) i would be nervous driving a Mercedes around!! i think i drive with a bullseye on my car doors, because everywhere i go, someone dings my doors. and :cheer2: enjoy the $100 refund!!

i don't speak with that accent, Trudy. (not all the time, anyway!) everyone who has it around here often works hard NOT to use it. in fact--and this is strange--not everyone around here speaks like this. there are only some pockets of it in Pittsburgh, some of the surrounding industrial cities and the suburbs. i grew up in one of the smaller cities where it was pretty widespread. my son is a riot: he can immitate "Pittsburghese" perfectly.

not yet- my husband plans to follow up on it on Friday. I type my bad attitude in and then erase it. I just started the classes I needed to complete before I can start work at my new old job on the 28th. I am on vacation next week, so it is done. I need to find the facebook rules- really- I work for them, they best not stop my digiscrap posting- at home on my own time. Now the layout about how stupid calling username OPID is- that might get me in trouble!
