hellloooO O-fam! What a change the weather here. It's back to our normal, cold temps and I don't like it. No surprise there. But any extra days of sunshine and warmth, I will hang on to that as long as I can.
At least the sun is shining and it's not snowing like at Rae's :D

Another productive day (for the most part) went in the books yesterday. I am starting to get gift ideas written down. I made my dad's birthday card and started another scrap page. Oh and I cooked the chicken - 5 pounds of chicken, so happy to have that. We have chicken salad, chicken cutlets, and tonight is buffalo chicken pasta. Today I need to clean the kitchen up from the mess I made on the stove. hehe. After that, I should have enough leftovers for the next couple of nights' dinners. *That* makes me really, really happy.

I am cleaning for my friend today and then I will be paying bills this afternoon-- Social Security deposit day for us. Yay! (yay???) Easy come, easy go as they say... :/

Wishing all of you a happy and joy fill-day!

@Cherylndesigns hope that you had a very uneventful flight, hugs to you and Steph!

@LSlycord I can't imagine watching the TS reports *and* Election results at the same time. gah!! I knew I would not get much sleep last night and I must have woken up every hour to refresh the news. Congrats on getting the new phones ordered. I asked Caitlyn how work was when she got home and she said boring. Oct is super busy getting everyone ready for Registration, which started last week. So the worst part of the semester (for her) is over and now she is bored. LOL She has a project that she is working on with her Intern and the mental health counseling dept. She wants to hold a mental health awareness workshop on the Wed before Thanksgiving. The school is open but no classes are scheduled so she is hoping to put together something quickly for the kids.

@vickyday That is what my DH says to *everything* I want to toss. And sadly, he is one of those people that actually can find a use for just about anything which makes it really hard to convince him that he doesn't need 200 million computer monitors in the attic. True story: Last week I asked him to keep an eye open on the local Freecycle Page, my monitor was taking a long time to turn on. The next thing I know, he is hooking up a "new" monitor for me. :p Sometimes it's a good thing he keeps everything. Key word: Sometimes *G*
Hope you had a wonderful day with your friends!

@bcgal00 You are gonna have your hands full with Remi if it snows like this all of the time :D She is such a snow girl!

@Lynn Grieveson Docs are a wonderful gift for your DD! Good luck as you clean and move her out- to both of you!!

Good morning, ladies. Yesterday flew by. I decided to go get my hair chopped off. With this cold dry weather, my hair was so full of static and it was driving me crazy. I called a salon in the shopping area that I go to and b/c of the weather (cold/snow), many had canceled appts so I was able to go in. I like the young girl who cut my hair (it is all chopped off...yikes LOL), we chatted for 1.5 hrs. I went shopping and got more decorations for the tree and a lovely "joy" word sign for the side table for Xmas (it is all sparkly, on a wood stand). I got some sweaters for me and the dogs. Taz has a tartan design and Remi has a gray sweater with glass beads on it and a few frills. Taz loves his. He wore it all night (in the house) and Remi tolerated her's but wasn't thrilled. These will be good for when we are out in the car and won't need to go outside much but will offer a bit of warmth. Taz has a heavier one for outdoors and I'll need to buy a warmer one for Remi for hikes. I'm going to get Taz a few sweaters b/c I think with him being older now (9) he enjoys the extra warmth indoors too. I'll get back to the store tomorrow.

@faerywings yes, I need to pay bills too.

Once again, Remi is staring at me and nudging me, it is time to go feed the birds. I sure don't get to sit much in the early morning :) HAGD everyone.

Good morning. Sitting here in leggings and a sweatshirt. Brr....62* and damp with a high of 67*. Which is what happens when you have a hurricane coming. We ventured out yesterday and that ocean was looking ugly...more so than I expected. Today we are inside. Shaun's classes were canceled just now...right before he had to take off. So he is extremely happy.

Sometime between noon and 2, Brian's iPhone will be delivered. They are sending a tech to deliver it and help with set up. Which is strange...but nice. They didn't do that with mine...and the kids phones are both back ordered until December 10. Crazy. That's what they get for wanting the super duper camera...and who am I to say anything, because I wanted it too.

Feeling a little down today...poor Shaun's having the same symptoms as before. Feeling like he needs to pee constantly. No wonder he is struggling with school and life in general. Getting a follow up appointment with his urologist.

Think I will head to the grocery store this afternoon. Because I'm sure that will be fun...I don't even like it when we aren't prepping for a hurricane. But I do need to get a couple of items.

Have a good day ladies!

@faerywings I had to laugh at Cait being bored. I love that she is putting together a mental health program. Boy these kids have sure been through it. Come to think of it, so have we adults. Yes storm watch and election results were a lot to take in at the same time.

@Cherylndesigns I'm sorry about the weather that you are facing down here. Although it shouldn't be much of a problem for where you are, the PTSD for that area of the state must be real! Hopefully none of this effects Steph's surgery date.

@bcgal00 I can't wait to see pics of the dogs in their sweaters (and I'm sure that I will :)). I've never had a dog that was willing to wear anything. Love that Remi insists you get out and feed the birds. I'm getting a real "itch" to get some feeders up so I'm trying to figure out how to keep the river rats away!

@vickyday wish I had that ROFL emoji because that is what I would add to my response about having a hard time with throwing things away. I have that same problem...although I'm working on it, very slowly.

@Lynn Grieveson so sweet that you are buying your daughter a "moving out" gift. Even when they are nearby, it just isn't the same...

Ok friends...off to accomplish a little something since it is already mid-day here!

@LSlycord If you put out a feeder tree I don't think rats can get up it but google and find out for sure.

What happened last year is that the birds would drop food on the ground and leave it. Then the rats came for what was on the ground. I think I just need a way to clean up the food left on the ground.

Hello, my lovelies. I typed this big, long post at one am last night and forgot to hit send. #crazyThis is pretty indicative of how my brain is working - it isn't. Let me see if I can re-create it in the light of day. Steph's surgery went well and the surgeon thinks she should be on the road to recovery in a reasonable amount of time.

We got nothing - everybody was just re-living Ian, I think. I don't blame them at all - there are still limbs of trees piled up along the streets waiting to be picked up. Asher's school got cancelled for today and maybe it will be tomorrow, we're not sure. Steph was laying in her hospital bed freaking out and told me I could NOT stay at her condo because the parking lot would flood. She insisted that I could not keep Asher there either. Her ex and I had already gotten everything worked out that Asher was going to spend the night with me last night and all day today.
She got so worked up over it and said that I needed to take her car and stay at Brandon's (her ex).
Finally, to calm her down (she didn't need that stress) we agreed to do it her way. I ran back to her place, grabbed some stuff and headed over here. I spent the night here and Asher's happy - I let him sleep with me. LOL I was so exhansted that I could have slept on a tock, so I didn't even know he was in bed with me. We all get along - which is kind of rare, so we had a very pleasant evening. They took Asher up to see Steph - I didn't go back up because her friend and her son were there too and it was a loot. Asher needed to see her.

Funny sidenote - I always have one, don't I?? Their house is a "smart home" - everything is voice controlled - each light, each appliance, the TV, you name it it's voice controlled. It's really weird - not sure I'd like that. They have a huge salt water aquarium (voice controlled of course - when they're gone over the weekend) but it's so relaxing. We all sat in there and talked last night and just watched the fish.

They didn't get anything but some wind and rain - Asher and I went out to get some breakfast and it was raining lightly, but that's about all. We tried to tell Steph yesterday, but she wasn't having any of it. We all know it's the pain meds talking, but still........She's in a LOT of pain even today. That's about it for me. Miss you all and thanks for thinking of me.

P.S. if I didn't say so, before, the plane trip was pretty uneventful, thankfully.

XOXO
