I am beat! I didn't sleep well last night. I never do on Election Nights but this one was rough. I must have woken about 4 times last night and took me a while each time to get back to sleep.

The sun is finally back out and it should get somewhat warmer. I am putting "take W for a walk" on my to-do list. I need to get out and away from the news and all of the :blah:
I wandered through ShopRite and freaked myself out a little when I got back into the car. I looked at the clock and it said 12:03. I knew that I was wondering aimlessly but I didn't think I was there for 2 1/2 hours! Took me a minute to remember that the clocks in the car don't change automatically. Whew!

The rest of the day was a mix of housework and making dinner/dessert. Apples were on sale and I had a tube of crescent rolls in the fridge so I made an apple/cinnamon roll thing that I saw on FB.

Today, aside from forcing myself to take W out, I have a not of cleaning and organizing. Yup, same old same old. No news from the ins co, but I did find out that my pharmacy has a plan for uninsured people to be able to buy lower cost Rxs. My Zoloft will be about $10/month. Thank goodness!! That is one Rx I can't live without. LOL (It is an anti-depressant/anti-anxiety med)

I hope that all of you have a super day! Give yourselves a big hug from me too!

Trudy- yay for blue sky!!! How was your hair appt? Sorry to hear that MIL is still not well. How long does her Dr think that she is going to have a hard time breathing? Good luck with your raffle!
It was ironic/funny that when I got home from the supermarket, I had an email asking to participate in a survey from them. Oh did I let them have it! Bad produce, increased prices, fewer store brand options...felt good :D

Nancy- NJ got a couple of new good Representatives. I think/hope that Malinowski and Shirrell will fight for us instead of rubber stamping for DT. I was happy for Scott's friend Lauren. They were planning on being here last night so she could help him study for Chemistry but she needed to vote so he drove down to where she lives to make sure she got there in time and then study afterward.
I love being able to mail my ballot in.
Great news about Brian Boyle!!! cancer free and a hat-trick. Nice!!

Rae- You are so dedicated to getting so much work done and so time-organized. (sorry can't think of the right words!). I wish I could do that, even with my to-do lists I get so darn distracted.
we bought an LED light that hangs on Ray's collar. We turn it on when she out in the dark b/c her poop spot is closer to the road. I think we it online-- Drs Foster and Smith or maybe Chewy. That would help you see Taz but still not good if he chases after a coyote or bear.

good morning - I stayed up to see the election results and the Dems took the house. My votes mattered as we flipped a red district to blue Malinowski. New Jersey did well in flipping to blue. I feel better now that is a brake on Trump politics. I am so tired of his fear mongering. My Devils lost and it was very disheartening as they started out with two goals and then fell apart. The coach's post game press conference was 1 min 30 sec. LOL He was not happy. The coach put in Cory Schneider as the starting goalie and wow he is just the the Cory we had at the start of last season. I would hoped they would play better defense in front of him but they were worse. But I did know that after the videogate in Ottawa that the Senators were not going to let down their coaches. Got more scrapping done so that too was good. Today I have to go to grocery store yuck!

Chris yes we flipped some seats and now the House will be blue in Jan. But the question will be what can and will be done to get stuff done in Washington. Will they work together or will it be shut downs. Oh well for now I will be happy that the House will be blue. But you know what I think it is even cooler how many women were elected. I think it was actually a woman wave.

Trudy we have blue skies today and temps fairly moderate for this time of year. I will be taking Luther out. Sorry to hear that your MIL is not doing all that well. I always hate to ask for help and I hope I remember when I am older that I don't forget asking for help is ok! Good luck with the raffle

Rae you are the queen of time management. Love seeing your fall photos and Taz is a cutie.

Have a great day all!

Morning O-zies! I had a terrible night of not sleeping much at all. So I am too pooped to go to the hike today, it is a beautiful sunny day so it is sad that I won't be out hiking! I think that my mind was too full of things that I need to get done. Our son's 40th birthday is coming up in December and I am stressed out over what to get for him. I want it to be special, he is such an amazing man and I really want to do something nice for him! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Then I need to get supplies for two projects that I hope to get done for Isaac and Sadie's Christmas gifts. I have to finish my calendars and start working on getting everyone else something for Christmas too. :gaah: why do I always wait too long to get started on stuff?? Needless to say my mind was racing most of the night LOL. I will try to keep calm and carry on!

Chris - I was thinking of you when I heard about the election results! I hope that things will now be a bit better for you! Are you happy with the results or No??? I find your system of government very confusing LOL but then I find ours is confusing too :becky: Yes my hair appt. was so nice, same old cut and colour but it feels so good to have it done. One of these days I will surprise my hairdresser and try something different. Now I need to update my profile picture here at the O. As for MIL, we think that she is lying to us about her condition and we all think that she discharged herself from the hospital. She is one stubborn woman and I bet she lands back in the hospital again soon. She won't tell us what her doctor is saying. Why??? I have no idea :mmph: I am so glad that you got to vent about your supermarket!! Maybe now they will realize that they need to clean up their act and make their customers happy shoppers!! Great news about your lower priced Zoloft! At least there was some good news on the Health front! Good luck with your cleaning and hopefully your walk outside with W will clear your cobwebs away.

Nancy - We saw the Video of the Ottawa players, shame on them but then shame on the Uber driver for showing it to the world! Sorry that your Devils did not win the game for you. Glad to hear that your vote counted and I hope that you are happy with the results of the election. I suppose that none of us are very good at asking for help, but I hope that when you are in your 80's you won't hesitate to do so. I have to remember that too LOL!! Enjoy your walk with Luther today!

Rae - You continue to amaze me with all the work that you do! I hope that your new plan of attack for your work schedule helps you to be less distracted! I hope you get to be outside for a bit today, the weather is just splendid isn't it!!

:hello: Jean and Felis I hope you are both having a great day!

I might have to try to have a morning nap and then get out to find the goodies I need for my projects. I know that some will have to wait until I can get to a Michaels store. Sure wish they would build one a bit closer to where we live! Have a great day ladies!!

Good morning, ladies. What a cold but beautiful day out. It was only 38° when I got up this morning...yikes....too cold for me! Got Taz off to daycare. Found out that one of my docs has a family medical emergency and will be gone for the rest of the week so my workload just got a lot lighter. I'm happy about that and will appreciate a slower pace for a few days. I'm going to take time to watch a few shows on my laptop and scrap a page later. Looking forward to that. Got a tax number from the USA tax office in the mail yesterday, so now I can file for reimbursement of the casino deductions taken off a few yrs ago when I won while in Bellingham and they took their 30% (but Canadians can get it back). Our accountant said its a hassle to file for it, it takes months for any response and often they just don't reimburse. Fingers crossed I'm one of the lucky ones. It would be so nice b/c it'll be enough to pay our property dues at the trailer for a year. It'll still be 2-4 mths before I know anything. They are sending me a form that I'll fill out with the tax # and then I wait to see if anything happens. Hope so.

Jen said that B participated in a craft class at the facility yesterday. Afterwards she said it was lame LOL but at least she went. They are doing a very detailed assessment of her now and hopefully we'll get some kind of plan soon for what they hope to do for her. Our card making was so successful that I want to do more projects with her. I'm going to stamp and cut out some pieces that we can mount onto cardstock to make cards. I am going to bring watercolor pens to color the stamped pieces. I think she'll like that. I am going to have to start going thru my scrap room and re-organizing everything to see what is still useable (a lot of supplies are probably dried up, too old). I think I'll be making a trip to Michael's this week (coupon). Online I saw a portable watercolor pack with flip-out sections which different color groups which was very cool. I didn't want to buy online from a company I never heard of so will look around locally to see what I can find that is similar. I told D last night that I want to buy a cheap secondhand small monitor (we have a re-sale computer store close by). We have to figure out what adapter and cord we need to do this as my all-in-one computer in the LR is different to hook up than my main computer in my office. I'm hoping the computer guy will be able to help us figure it out. I told D that having a dual monitor set-up in my office makes it unappealing to scrap upstairs in the LR on one screen. So if we get another monitor and get it hooked up, maybe I'll scrap upstairs sometimes in the evening, while hanging out with D as we watch tv. I think he likes any idea that keeps me upstairs. He would never say anything but I know he hates when I disappear for hours at a time in my office in the evening and he is upstairs alone. I love my alone time but him, not so much LOL.

Chris - hope today is a quiet one. I was watching news in the middle of the night about the election stuff and was thrilled for democrats getting so many seats. Hope they are able to help with healthcare and immigration, blocking DT. I would love to see an impeachment but I'm pretty sure that'll never happen.

Trudy - hope you get to relax and nap to make up for lack of sleep last night. I was up at 4 with Taz who decided he wanted to go out (thats why I was up watching news LOL). No idea on gift ideas but is there a hobby or something on his bucket list he hasn't done yet? or a day trip somewhere he would want to go to? D going skydiving I think was the best birthday gift he ever got, he loved it so much. I'll never be able to top that one.

Nancy - food shopping....me to. Have to pop out at lunchtime and stock up. I get a seniors discount on Wed at our natural organic store, its not much of a discount but its better than nothing.

I'd better get my work done and then should have a free afternoon (now that I've said that, any bets on whether a bunch of backlog comes and my afternoon won't be as easy going as I think? LOL). We'll see. I sure would love the scrap today.

Have a great day everyone.

Evening all. Our snow plow guy brought a contract by today and staked our driveway. We may even need it by next week. Shudder! I had mixed emotions over the election results. I'm glad the house will change and that our senator Sherrod Brown was reelected, but unhappy with the other state-wide races all going to the dark side. First time since 1974 that a senator and governor of opposite parties won in the same election in Ohio. Crazy. Meanwhile everything is still about the same though I've gotten another page scrapped.

Chris, at least you got one piece of good news with the Rx price. Hope the weather isn't getting to you too much and the dog walking is OK. The dessert sounds yummy.

Nancy, that was nice to have a family trip to the polls. Hope this encourages DS to continue with voting! Impressive win over the Pens, but too bad the next night was a loss.

Trudy, sorry for your troubled and sleepless night. Sure hope you can get better rested. Your plans for Christmas gifts while ambitious will surely be wonderful and greatly enjoyed.

Rae, how nice to get a little relief on the work front and that a new monitor might lead to more scrapping for you.

Hugs to all.
