Daily Ooo's: Wednesday, November 7

Hello my lovlies and happy hump day! How are all of you? Cold and cold and grey and getting ready for snow. I am hearing anywhere from 2-4" to 8". Wind gusts up to 50mph. Noooo!!!
So, if I disappear again, all it means is that our power and/or internet is out again. Praying and all fingers crossed that it works out fine.

Thank you all so much for the vodka!! Damn, I needed that yesterday!!! I swear, I have lost my mind. Walked around in circles, started a project, got side-tracked, even got to the point where I reached into my purse to get keys to make a run to the bus stop and pulled out a pair if dirty socks!!! hahahahha!!!!!!!! Then I sat down after dinner and realized that I never showered cuz I was running all over town in the morning. Oh my!!!

Today, I might get lost in my house. I have an "Art Closet" that we used when the kids were little. It has two floor to ceiling book cases and we stacked games on one and art stuff on the other. Currently its the throw everything in it and its never seen again. Since I am not cleaning/working ATM (ahhhh, :CryI am going to take the time today to pull everything out and grab some garbage bags and get rid of stuff. However, there is not one inch of floor space, so if I disappear that might be the other reason.

I wish and want and pray that:
- all of the people still w/o power get it back on and have it stay on through this new storm today
-that we do not get snow or flooding in my house
-that those people w/o homes can somehow stay warm, dry, and sane.
- now the election is over, we can all (both sides!) move past the hurt and anger and lies and put America first again.

morning O fam- special wave to Phylis if you are still up! I just finished my workout - I have let stress cause me to eat more than I needed. Didn't help the stress, so I stomped it into the floor during my workout Now off to get ready to work- wish I get home "early" like I did last night! Early = 1.5 hours after my day was officially done- how sad is that wish. Tomorrow- day off- I plan to follow Chris' lead today and clean and hopefully craft some! Catch you tomorrow or if I am blessed, tonight.

Got tired of waiting for election results last night and started surfing the net for travel ideas. Good price to Maui in February so we are returning! Leaving the morning of Brian's 50th birthday and staying 10 nights. Now to get this body in better to shape to really enjoy it!

Chris, congrats on your win. it was decisive. can't say the lying will stop, but we'll see. on the positive side, now at least my phone won't ring 15 times while i'm making dinner. :cheer2:

Laurie, i did manage to get 2 more hours from 6-8, so i'm good. on the positive side, i also got 2 loads of laundry done and the floor wiped up before 4 a.m.!!

gotta run some errands today at The Mall. that probably also means a bunles burger and 10 french fries at 5 Guys in the food court. wow. am i tired of ground meat.... gotta get serious about Christmas shopping. i did most of it on Amazon and Fab and am waiting for the stuff to trickle in so i can MAIL it. i think it's STILL going to get there late. ah, well.

Chris don't let your fingers get all wrinkly and stuff from all that cleaning!!!!!!!!!!! and I sure hope the storm will be mild for you... we are expecting a really cold front with lots of snow, and really NOT looking forward!!!!!!!!!! Gonna go to town and make sure I have enough milk and stuff for the house, and have 2 kids home from school with a sore throat but that's ok, they are staying off my computer, I got up extra early to clean to I'd at least have a few min to myself on here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Morning ladies... The sun is actually shining this morning, what a welcome surprise!! Haven't seen anything but :rain: in the last couple of weeks!! Now it will get cooler I am sure, but that's ok, its so nice to see the sun! Off for the next 2 days, recouping from putting in two 12hr days at work. Stayed last night and got the Christmas trees decorated. They look beautiful!! We did six trees all different themes and they turned out lovely! At least I'm getting paid OT for the extra hrs!! Maybe I should book a trip to Maui and meet up with LindaS with my extra income?? Yeah right!!!!

Chris - Good luck with with the closet cleanup, if we don't see you in here tomorrow we will send the Calvary out to find you under all those games and crafts!!

Laurie - I am sorry to hear that you are having so much stress in your life! Great way to get rid of it by stomping it into the ground with your workout!! Hope your day off is stress free and full of creativeness!!

LindaS - So you are going back to Maui!! Isn't that wonderful!! I hope that you have a fabulous time there, you seemed to love it the last time you were there!! Are you staying at the same place or trying someplace new? I am jealous!! Wish i could join you!!

Phylis - Isn't doing your Christmas shopping on line the best!! I hate going to the stores at Christmas, so busy and full of miserable shoppers! Although I love the decorations and the music and the whole spirit of Christmas, I just wish people were happier!! I will have to mail everything this year also :mmph: no one is coming home for Christmas this year :hurt:

Sally - Welcome back to the daily's!!!! So nice to see your pretty face here again! What kind of computer did you get? I got a new IMac and I just love it!! Looking forward to seeing your layouts in the gallery again!! :hug:

Well I am going to be here at my computer most of the day, perhaps I will get a walk in sometime today in the sunshine, and I am so far behind with the calendars I am supposed to do. But I am going to enjoy the what the day brings!! :wave:

OMG you guys we are having a major snow storm! We have over a foot already and its still coming down. I drove the kids to school this morning not quite registering how bad the driving would be and its BAD! Accidents everywhere, people stuck, its crazy! I have to go get Chloe at noon as it is a short day and I will be walking and bringing the sled!

Round one of Art Closet Cleaning is done. Having another cuppa brown gold tea: ), 5 minute break, then onto Storm Prep. Not too much of that this time around, just making sure I am caught up on laundry, water bottles are filled, make some more egg salad... Then its back to the Art Closet where my honey threw some of the empty Halloween Decoration boxes, and start filling them back up. It feels good to be busy at least

Laurie-- good for you to stomp out that stress!!!! The "new" job sounds brutal. DO you think its just in adjustment period or is this the way it is going to be? I hope it calms down for you.

Phyllis- I never saw Constantine,-- typically hate anything that Keanu Reeves is in (post Bill and Ted LOL). I'll have to look for it on NetFlix!
I really try to not talk politics here at the O, but I have to say I really really really want both side to grow up and learn to work together. It has been refreshing and comforting to see Pres. Obama and Gov. Christie working so well together. So, it can be done!! I am such an optimist..ray:
Christmas Shopping! I am seriously dreading that!!!! Idon't know what I am going to get *anyone* And If I am going to make stuff I really need ideas...... and time...... and some creative energy.

Linda S- I don't know how your state does it-- pretty soon you are going to be seeing Gov Christie come and visit. Lots of buzz in NJ he is going to run in 2016. It will be interesting for sure. Even though I don't agree with what he says much of the time, I appreciate *how* he says is (not the rude stuff but the plain talk)

Eva- yes, I can see that you would love Dogma too! Warped mind and all. It makes me laugh every time. That quote is one of my all time fave;s too, especially for me personally since I am not religious at all but I *know* there is something out there-- that's my faith.

My BFF finally got her power back and posted a pic of the technician on FB- he was from Florida and wants to send him a Christmas Card!!!

Trudy, that will pretty much be me this Christmas. i decided not to be the person who keeps doing the giant Christmas Family Dinner this year because of the hideous mess that it was last year. so many rude people. so, it'll probably be me and Hubby and DD. big fun. unless someone else in the family decides to do the Whole Family Dinner. which i doubt. :mmph:

Hi and another day with no power -as of 8pm it will be 10 days LOL. All my neighborhood has power but our hose and the family across the street. The power company just forgot about us and now with storm who knows when. I had to go to a supervisor to get info and while they were nice they knew they forgot us but no sense of urgency to to get us. The family across the street are in their 80s so did not report the outage. Chris thanks I would take you up on it if you were closer.

Heather be careful in all that snow. We are only 3-6 inches

Haven't been around much lately. I'm buried in work. Getting ready for a trial the week after Thanksgiving. I'm the main witness so I have 2 storage boxes full of documents to read and study plus about 6 DVD's to review. All before Thanksgiving!! Plus I have out of town company coming to my house for Thanksgiving dinner.

Haven't had any time to scrap for awhile and probably won't until December.

Oh! And I got called up for jury duty but managed to get that postponed until Dec.

Linda- where did you find the deal to Maui? I'm planning a trp to Hawaii in March to visit my daughter and her family. Need to find a good deal.

I'll check in when I can.
