Happy Wednesday!
I have to say that the one good thing right about now is that all of my Halloween decorations are away and a month's worth of dust and cobwebs are gone. I still need to mop the kitchen floor- I ran out of steam yesterday afternoon- but after I do that, I might just call it a day. I am exhausted.

Gary, Caitlyn, and I finished watching the Haunting of Bly Manor last night. It was ok. It was disappointing in that Hill House was soooooooo good and creepy. So look at it from that perspective, it wasn't the same. It had some eerie moments and I think that if I wasn't comparing it to HH and the Bent-Neck Lady :)fear: ), I might have gotten more into it. Caitlyn had read both of the books in her Gothic Lit class that were used as jumping-off points for the shows and she enjoyed it from that perspective, seeing the characteristics of the genre.

I have not much else going on here, so I will end by wishing all of you a wonderful day. I also am apologizing if my political views made any of you uncomfortable in any way over the last weeks/months/etc. I truly care about each and every one of you and only wish for peace and love for all.

Kay- Did you sleep better last night? I have that "texture" thing where wrinkles in sheets/clothes/etc make me bonkers. I hate it when I am restless like that and get all wrinkly and tangled. Have you ever tried the bands that are supposed to keep your fitted sheet tucked in? Caitlyn bought a set but they didn't work. She wasn't sure if it was that she bought a knock or brand or that the concept itself wasn't good. But something to try perhaps?
I need to gather paperwork for our financial assistance/Medicaid applications. I really thought this time last year, things would be better, that at least Scott would have a job and that I would still be able to clean. Today is most definitely not the day to think about it, however. I will need all of my mental and emotional strength for that ;)
The card Gary got really made him happy, it turns out that our neighbor two houses down got one too, his was a compliment about his dragon mailbox. So thank you to whoever sent these!!!

Rae- How was the visit with the vet? I know how you are feeling, we went through the IM fluids with Floyd and it only made all of us miserable. My heart is very heavy for you as you have to contemplate your decision. In my experience, I don't know anyone who made the decision and regretted that it was too soon afterward. Almost everyone I know felt that in the end, they held out too long. Obviously, only you and Jen can understand how it is, but *please* know that I am sending you my love.
The new season of The Good Doctor was about *this* pandemic? Or just a pandemic in general? Either way, it has to be offputting. We watched Utopia and even though it was about a pandemic, it was more sci-fi-ish that I didn't feel like I was watching reality at all.

Trudy-hehe- a wet day with weather and swimming. Not sure why that made me chuckle but it did. Lack of sleep is making me punchy.
How awesome to get to spend so much time with Heather and Hunter. He has to be such a joy to watch. I do not envy parents with little ones and time changes. Although, having dogs wasn't too different. Ray usually starts pacing around the kitchen at 4.15 since they get dinner at 4.30. The last couple of days she has started at 3. She is so wobbly on her legs on the linoleum that it makes me anxious watching and hearing it.
Nope, my patio doesn't have a roof, it is just a slab of concrete surrounded by hedges on two sides. (And nowhere near as nice looking as yours is! LOL)
will have to see how much they are and maybe ask for one as an early Christmas gift. We also need a new toaster oven so we will have to see what is what.
Enjoy your walk today, hope it isn't too rainy!

Cheryl- so exciting to order your granite, what does it look like???

Had a good night's rest - in addition to napping twice yesterday. My body was trying to make up for not sleeping well the night before. Chris, my fitted sheet came untucked because I had the head of the bed raised more than usual. The new sheets have very deep pockets and normally stay in place. Realized late yesterday that the battery in my mouse was dying but when I looked I have every size battery but AA's. Ended up swapping the battery in the laptop's mouse for the computer one. Will have to make a run out to get batteries today as I am not sure how long this one will last. At least we are enjoying some more seasonable temps [mid-60's] with light winds so it is nice out.

Rae, my heart aches for you as you deal with the pending loss of your fur baby. <<< hugs >>>

Cheryl, how exciting that you got the granite choice made. Too bad that it will be so long until it can be installed. I know you are anxious to get moved into the new house.

Trudy, that is a nice heater... so glad it works so well so you can be outside when it is cooler. Glad you are having such fun with the g-kids on facetime.

Off to get another cup of coffee while I wait for the house to warm up before getting my shower. Have a great week everyone.

Good Morning everyone! It is a very grey morning, but the rain is holding off so far. The temps have risen overnight and it is actually quite warm! I will be going on my hike, even though I do not like to hike in the rain, this one will be more of an urban walk, so I will wear my light raincoat and take my umbrella. I suppose an umbrella is a great way to keep socially distant from everyone too LOL. I just hope that my fingers don't turn white from holding on to my umbrella :mmph:

Chris - Glad to hear that you got all the Halloween things put away! Nice to have the place cobweb and dust free! You have a bit of time before you have to start worrying about Thanks giving and Christmas, so enjoy the clean space and try to chill! I think that a propane heater would be perfect for your patio visits and I hope that you can find one at a great price! Having it as an early gift would be awesome, you could have the visits that you need with your parents and in-laws and keep nice and cozy warm. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that you get both items on your want list!

Kay - Happy to hear that you had a better nights sleep! Of course wouldn't you know it that you have every kind of battery except the one you need!! Murphys law!! Hope you manage to get out and get the ones you need, perhaps there is something else you need to get too, then you won't feel like you are making a trip for only one item LOL.

Cheryl - You must be getting so excited to move into your new home! Sorry that the granite will be late in arriving and delaying your move in date  I bet the wait will be worth it though!

Well I better get my morning chores done and get my bag ready for my walk today. Still working on one calendar page that is giving me grief, I just can't get it the way I would like to be. Oh well perhaps some time away from it will be good. Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!

Just discovered that the DVD drive in DH's computer is not working and the laptop DVD drive won't format disks. Grrrr!!! My old computer's DVD drive works for about 3-4 disks then stops formatting the Disks! So the solution is to buy an external DVD read/write drive that I can move from one computer to the other. Of course, they don't have it in stock so will have to order it.

Chris, I totally understand how you feel. I have to keep a cork in my mouth. (Picture that Hahaha) - I hope that you're feeling a little better today.

That's awesome that you have all of your stuff put away!

Kay, I'm right there with you on the sheets. I can't stand one tiny wrinkle, let alone having them wrap around me. Ugh. I hate when my batteries die - one of the best investments I ever made was a battery charger that charges AA and AAA batteries! I always have a charged battery now. It charges both sizes at the same time. I love that I don't have to scrounge around in the drawers looking for batteries now.

Trudy, hope the sun comes out - I would love to send some of ours your way.

Girls - I'm in love with our granite! It's exactly what I wanted and I found it right away! The guy kept taking me to see more, but I just knew which one I wanted. Let me see if I can upload a picture. Of course, Ava took a picture of me standing in front of it. LOL

I've added some pictures to my album - I'm not sure how long ago I shared a link. Our kitchen cabinets are ready to go in. https://photos.app.goo.gl/v8dZ9jC9md2vaRqy5

Good afternoon, ladies. Just a quick update. The vet today weighed Noel and he has gained a lb. I am feeding him whenever he wants, little bits at a time and he is now eating a lot more than previous months. The vet didn't see any signs of distress/pain, so Jen is willing to try the IV treatments at home and if he deteriorates after that then we know it's time to help him go. He's now jumping around, playing, looks alert and happy. So we'll see how things go.

I've got lots of work so need to get at it. Have a good day.
