Happy Hump day- except us lucky dogs in NJ who have a 3 day school week.
And Happy Day 3 of DSD week.
Not feeling good here today- just feeling kind of blah. Trying to perk up, having some more coffee. I am not sleeping well. Cait has been home sick the last 2 days and Scott's herx doesn't seem to want to end.
He is staying home from school today- he is having a really hard time. he isn't even really talking to me and I can't tell you how much that hurts.
And I am so dang frustrated with trying to make an appt for this biopsy. I seriously wish I could live near Clara b/c I am betting that Derek would have found a way to squeeze me in (no pun intended LOL) It has been a week, and I *finally* got the Rx written and faxed to the Breast Center. The earliest appt I could get was Dec. 16!!! There is a person w/in the Breast Center that works to get patients seen faster, but I haven't been able to get in touch with her- just leaving msgs on her answering machine.
Then the ex-bf said the "L" word (past tense!!) but that floored me, and freaked Gary out, so now that is a big ol' mess.
Too much on the brain.....
But anyway, 'nuff about me.....
Linda S- oh no- I am so sorry that YMG has it too. That is even worse than both kids having at the same time, right? Hope that he feels better- go tell him to take Garlic! Buhhahahaah!!
Linda P!!!!!! *Tigger-pounce*
Nina Beana!!!! Yay for Nina and her delish coffee.
Dawn- awww, Davy is so cute!!! She makes me want to get get a bunny
Good luck today w/ unemployment, fingers are crossed for you.
Clara- I am not FLYing either- totally crashed and burned..... my house is a wreck and I cannot even deal with it. I know I am going to come home from work pissy about it too- I hate leaving a clean house and coming home to my pigsty.
Clara and Sally- thank you for explaining "confessing' to me. xoxoxo
Kat- hi girl!!! I saw that Nick was very happy to see Daddy! Yay!!
Sally- garlic is da bomb
You are getting soooo close!!!!!! You are going to hit 10,000 so soon!
Clara- his school is 15 mins away so I am looking at about an hour a day. And yesterday was his counseling session -its only 5 minutes away, but legally I am not allowed to leave. So I have to sit in the waiting room for that hour. I am reading Dan Brown's new book, so I have somethign to keeep my occupied. But it stinks to "lose" 2 hours of your day to a kid who is being a brat to you.
GMTA with the notes/candy, my Republican/Christian soul sister!
Andrea!!! Hey there! So good to see you too.
Do you remember what bands came back positive on your Lyme test? The regular labs (like Quest) only test for a select group of bands. Bands 23 and 41 (IIRC) are Lyme specific, so if either of them came up positive, then I'd be 99% sure that you are positive. CDC and the insurance companies have a totally ridiculous protocol of what bands need to be positive before they will say you are CDC positive.
The other issue with Lyme is that often if you have it chronically, your immune system doesn't recognize it any longer and isn't fighting it so you won't test positive at all. Many times in treatment, you will test negative at first, then go positive- showing that your immune system is finally working again and producing antibodies.
My advice-- take it for what it is worth- is to get blood drawn and sent to Igenix Labs. They don't take insurance, but they are the *best* lab in the country. If you can't do that (believe me- we only have the kids blood sent there, not mine or Gary's) see if your insurance co will cover either Stonybrook Labs (in NY) or MDL. They both have decent lyme-friendly labs.
You can also look for a lyme literate dr.
So there is my lyme novel for the day..... sorry!
Better post this- have to go get Cait up- she is going to school today!
