Who needs coffee when people are knocking at your door at 6.45 am? :hiding2:
Every autumn, my dad has a crew come to clean the gutters and they were supposed to be here at 7.30 am. Imagine my surprise when they were knocking at my door, just now. Sure, sure- it doesn't help that I had completely forgotten that they were coming at all, but I think I would have been more prepared at 7.30

Now that my heart rate has returned to normal-for-me, I have good news! My lesson yesterday *killed.* It went really well, and I only had to redirect a couple of the kids a few times. The moss terrariums were a huge hit. The regular microscopes weren't working for some reason but they liked trying them out. We only could find one of the "kid" style - that was the one I brought home to mess around with. We found a branch that had moss, lichen, and slime mold on it and the other teacher and I were super excited.
That was all reassuring to me.

I am starting to cook today, all of the vegan foods. That way I can be sure of no contamination ;)
Then I will finish the housecleaning and start setting up. I feel pretty good about being ready, so there is that.

Wishing everyone a fantastic day, sending love to you all~

I know you are going to have a great day with the kids! I would love to be there sharing in the experience! It's raining here, too!
Thank you so much for being so supportive. That's the hard thing, I know how excited *I* am for whatever plans I have, which makes it super frustrating when the kids are being butts. I started the session by reminding them about respecting each other and being kind. I also told them that I wasn't going to force them to participate in the activity but that had to do 2 things. The first was they *had* to try it out. and if they still weren't feeling, it they could sit out but they had to sit quietly while the other kids were learning No more "I'm bored" or distractions. It worked this week, fingers are crossed it does next week. :praying2:
I hope that the drive is easy and you have no traffic! And yikes, no snow either!!
You had a detailed to-do list for yesterday and I bet that you got all of it done. Whatever you didn't do, can wait another day ♥

@taxed4ever :woohoo: You got soooo much done too! I am super excited for you about getting the calendar sent to the printers. I know that hangs over your head until it is off your list.
I'm so sorry to hear about Sharon's man :(
Too bad you don't; live near me, both of my kids have some seriously ugly Christmas sweaters they were for their Haunted Christmas parties.

(For the newer Ooos: my kids and their group have a "Haunted Christmas" where they find the weirdest, oddball gifts for each other. They find them at thrift shops and such, although Caitlyn showed me what she ordered for Tom and Scott and I couldn't; stop laughing. They were pillows made from awful photos of Whisky and Tat Rat. I'm not sure why they call it Haunted Christmas other than the gifts are scary! )
I hope that the family meeting is not as big a deal as FIL made it sound.

@AK_Tracy thanks for the prayers, I appreciate that. ♥ Chronic illness~~~> :rollingpin1:
Coffee date was good. We laughed, we got mad, we laughed some more, we solved the worlds problems. It was good. Just what I needed. We sat at the beach listening to the waves crashing and watched the sun. We sit in the car at the beach, just fyi so you dont think I am THAT crazy :giggle4:
hehe, your coffee date sounds like when I meet my BFF for coffee too- we run through every topic under the sun and all the emotions that go with them. TY for clarifying that you aren't "THAT crazy."
Sending some good thoughts to your sore back and shoulders~~~~~~

Oh Vicky, what a mess about the car! Some days, nothing is easy!

WHAT... I missed posting yesterday??? :thud: I know I made plans to post but some how the day slipped away... Ended up working on LOs for the up-coming Black Friday sales and December party. Going to be so much fun!!! :giggle4:goofysmile1:lol23:dance4

Talk about a turn around... it is 50*F right now at 6 AM... and the high yesterday was only 62*F! Suppose to go up to 56*F for a high at 10AM then start falling with high winds... and rain tonight!!! We are having the craziest fall weather this year. My trees have lost all their leaves but neighbors trees on both sides still have the majority of their leaves.

I need to get out the sliced ham, rolls and cool whip from the freezer this morning and bake the pumpkin pie. No heavy duty cooking this year.... I will miss the turkey and dressing but won't miss spending most of Wed and Thurs cooking. :floorlaugh:

@faerywings You are wise to get the vegan dishes prepared first... So glad that the HS lesson went so well.

@taxed4ever Sure hope the family conference didn't bring bad news. And such sad news about SiL's male friend.

@vickyday Hope you are on your way and don't have any car problems on the trip.

@AK_Tracy That coffee date sounds like so much fun. Hope your back and shoulders are better.

Need more :coffeedrinker: and get dressed. HAGD

Morning ladies... I am staying home from the hike today, I have way too much going on here at home. Its cold out there too and it is supposed to start raining very soon. Looks more like it could snow and where the hike is located it very well could start snowing! I had a great sleep last night! Went to bed at 9:30 and slept until 7am so I am feeling raring to go this morning! Coffee is tasting really good and I am almost ready to pour myself another cup. I got one Christmas card finished yesterday afternoon, the darn thing too me forever and just when I would be almost complete, I would get an ink spot on it or smudge it, so I had to start over again three times!! I will not do another one like that again!! I was so frustrated by the time it was done :banghead:. I am working on a layout today for a Black Friday release and then I will start to get some more cards done. I also have been making little stocking stuffers out of wool, they are little Touques that hold a Lindor chocolate in them, so I have been working on those while watching TV with my DH. I need to run out and get some eggs today from Hope Farm and I will hit a couple of thrift stores today to look for an ugly Christmas Sweater.

Yikes that would get my heart pumping that early in the morning too!! How great that they are there to clean out your gutters, but sheesh they could have warned you LOL. Hope you at least had your pj's on LOL. How wonderful that your day went so well yesterday and that the kids had a blast!! I bet it brightened your whole day!! Good luck with all of your cooking today! I bet it will all be amazingly good!

:giggle4: I have done that a few times, where I think I posted my chat and then at the end of the day realized that I forgot to hit the post reply button. The new Black Friday kits are just all so beautiful, I need to get one done today also.

Have you checked out any thrift stores?? Grab an ugly sweater and some old decoration and attache the decoration to the sweater. In the shape of a tree. Or maybe they have an ugly sweater for sale. Good luck and cant wait to see photos of what you come up with.
Thanks for the tip on the Ugly Christmas Sweater! I will be hitting all the Thrift Stores today.

@vickyday - Hope your drive is pleasant and you get there in record time!

Ok I better get into the shower :showering:and get going, I need to get eggs early or they will run out, its a popular spot with the best eggs anywhere. Have a great day !!:waving3:

Good Morning!
I am going to couch potato today.:couchtv:
I told my son he has to make the pumpkin pies. I hate them so someone else can make them. :giggle4: He's super excited to do it.

Oh my!!! If someone knocked at 6:45 at my house, they might get hurt. I wouldn't be awake and my dreaming mind would go all criminal minds episode they're after me :floorlaugh: Glad they were early and not late but oh man that's early.

This sounds like a ton of fun! And I can hear the laughter.
TY for clarifying that you aren't "THAT crazy."
Well, I didn't want ya wondering and thinking I was sitting on a beach at 20*. :floorlaugh::floorlaugh::floorlaugh: I mean, I own my crazy but that would be like really crazy and I am not there yet.

Sounds like you had a great day!!! I cant wait for all the fun. My first December here at O and it sounds like it will be amazing.
The new Black Friday kits are just all so beautiful, I need to get one done today also.
EEEEKKKKKK I cant wait!!!!!!

Does it ever loose the magic when you see everything before it drops? Or do you just get one kit to work with so you still have surprise and awe when the kits drop? Half the fun is the anticipation of what will come out.

Well the weather man was wrong. We didn't stay in the teens, its back down to 3* and I am good with that. Now the lake will get thicker. And then we need about 8"-18" of fresh snow and it will be prime ski season!!! Soon!!!

Back is better. Can move and things without wanting to scream. Still stress tight but more in the normal range. I dont know why either. Well maybe cause its winter and I am changing all my insurances around and that requires some inspection and blah blah blah stress. UGH. Oh well. I found out through this process that none of my stuff was insured properly but the cars. The good news, it all averages out almost the same. Some went down some went up and I think overall I am only up $100 but considering I had to increase coverage on my house by almost double, its pretty good. Today I plan to do as little as possible. I might scrap some personal pages. I might clean the kitchen but I also might sit on the couch and dictate what to do. The day is wide open with noting planned.

More coffee, its calling me to come drink it so I must answer! Have a wonderful day.

@taxed4ever Be sure to share a pic, the choc holders sound cute!

I'm heading out in a few min for morning coffee with friends and then will meet D over at the center for canasta at noon. Then errands and home for dinner. The day is going to fly by.

@faerywings I had no doubt that everything would get done :)

I need to get some BF scrapping done at some point over the next few days. I think it will get done in small increments in between doing everything else on my schedule this week.

Gotta go...have a good day everyone.

Oh Vicky, what a mess about the car! Some days, nothing is easy!
I'm so glad the kids did better this week!
The car...it drives fine, so I hope we are not making a bad problem worse!

Good evening,
Arrived safely just a few minutes after 5 after leaving the house at 10 this morning. It started raining when we crossed into Ohio and the temperature dropped!
Hope all of you have a wonderful day tomorrow and especially those of you in the states who will be celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends!
