Hey there, O-zies!
It is 6.45 am and still so dark outside. I am telling myself every day that in one month (now less than) the days will start getting longer. I cannot complain about the temps yesterday. It was 60* here in the afternoon. I cleaned in the morning and was sweating when I got home. Grabbed a quick lunch and decided to go out and do one more raking of the leaves. Even though my FIL had blown all of the leaves a couple of weeks ago, the front lawn was covered again. Scooped poop, raked. Found more poop, raked some some. x1000. Man, dogs need diapers! (not that I want to be the one to change them  )
I did get the Halloween stuff all packed away.

Today I am home all day. The washing machine service tech will be here at some point between 8-5. The only thing that *has* to get done is boiling the eggs for deviled eggs for tomorrow. That means I have the entire day to get myself organized. ( “You keep using that word, I do not think it means what you think it means” :pound: )
I am going to force myself to sit down and write my lists and prep my calendar. Really. That is my goal.

Hope that your goal is more easily reached than mine, perhaps you are climbing Mt Everest today? No matter what you are doing, I hope you have fun while you are doing it! xoxo

Trudy- I bet you are thrilled that your heat pump is fixed and working.
I wish I could help with the pricing of the sign. Did you look at Etsy for similar items? (Side note: the Charlie Brown tree we made was selling for $50 there!)
I know that I should scrap some pics of Christopher for some of the upcoming challenges. If I want to do a book for him by April, I am going to have to do about 3 pages/month.
We had the same problem with our grill too- Gary never did clean it out. He moved the cover to the grass and then they built a home under that where it still sits... heh. Here is the recipe:
Crispy Asparagus Stuffed Chicken Breast
This is how I cooked the asparagus:
Blistered Asparagus
I cooked that first in a cast iron skillet, filled the chicken, and then popped the what was left into the oven to reheat for the last 5 minutes or so.

Welcome back, Kay!bet it was wonderful being surrounded by family. I am so sorry that the ankle was hurting so much. At least that meant that they had to treat you like the queen that you are!:hail:
Yuck about the snow-- did you get a lot?

Rae- ouch!! How long will D be eating soup?? Not additional issues with your car?
Yay for you having to do CT stuff here again :)

Jean- bet you are happy and relieved that you went shopping yesterday and not today. The drawing sounds like it is a gift that will keep on giving. So thoughtful and a great connection to your niece. I know it has to make you feel happy inside that she appreciates it so much.

Better go going so I can be dressed when the washer people get here. With my luck they will either be here at 8 am and cause morning chaos or at 5 pm and cause dinner chaos. No matter what time they will be here, it is gonna be "dog chaos." They will get locked into my BR but that doesn't make them very happy. meh.

Morning ladies... a sunny but very cold morning here this morning! I slept in until 7:30!! I will not be going on the hike today, it is very far away and it is just too cold and slippery out there for me. My poor fingers and toes would be pure white and frozen. I really need to get myself some more hand warmers for my cold hiking days! So today I will make another calendar page and do a bit of painting etc. Hope to run out to pick up a couple of items that I need later on too. It is so nice to not feel stressed out anymore about getting everything done for the upcoming holiday season! Seems everything is falling into place and doing one or two small things everyday is really helping me out!

Chris - Hope you are not having to wait until the end of the day for the repair guys to show up!! Enjoy your time at home all day today! Yum deviled eggs!! I love those! Oh and thanks for the recipe! I will substitute the panko crumbs for pork rind crumbs and it should be a nice Keto recipe for me! I bet you were happy to have the yard all cleaned up from dog poop!! Ya I wouldn't want to change doggy diapers either LOL. Hope your organizing and list making goes smoothly for you!

Kay - Nice to hear that you arrived home safely and that your family gathering was so nice! Sorry that you had the trouble with your foot, but thankfully you got treated royally and nice that they had wheelchair assistance for you at the airport! Sounds like you are in for wintery weather, so good that you are getting out to pickup your mail etc. before all that hits you!

Rae - Oh your poor D!! He will have one very tender mouth for a while! Lots of work to have done all at once, but I suppose it is better to get it all over with! I am hoping I am done with crowns for a while now! It is so nice to hear that you are doing CT stuff again! We are all so happy that you are back with us!

Jean - Awww how nice that your DH's niece's daughters name is Sadie!! A good name for sure! We did get a few flurries yesterday, right when I was going to the pool, but it did not last long and nothing really stuck to the ground. Ther is snow on the tops of the mountains surrounding us, pretty as long as it stays up there!! LOL. What a lovely gift for your DH's niece! You are very generous!! Nice that she is appreciating all the little details of your drawing too! Hope your routine appt. went well!

Well I suppose I better get in the shower and get to the store, I like to spend the afternoon doing what needs to be done, seems I am most productive then. No facetime with Heather and Hunter today, she is working on her course and has an alone day today with Hunter at pre-school. I think she is loving her alone time one day a week! Have a lovely day everyone!

It is sure windy today! I'm glad we don't have much to do but will be shopping at Walgreens for on sale diet Coke and some other stuff. Glad you all are reminding me of holiday preparation as I have to get my annual family history newsletter for DH's family ready pretty soon. Just made a list of new info that needs to go in, so I have more than I thought which makes it easier. Dr. appt. was fine, but have sore arm (not bad though) from flu shot and tetanus, etc. booster.

Chris, repair guys btw. 8-5 is nuts and I hope it works out to be in between and an easy fix. Hope the dogs only make noise in the BR. DH wants to know if choc. chips are something the rats like too, but I told him you'd never give it to them as probably not good for them. I just had a thought, wonder if I can make an image like your wood slats with names of ancestors for the news? I get lots of great ideas here! Also need to look at that recipe as it sounds so good.

Trudy, good call to not hike today. We sure don't want your hands and feet getting that kind of stress. You have a nice line up of things to do anyway. And having an alone day must be such a delight for your DD.

Wishing all a good day and those of us in the US a happy Thanksgiving tomorrow.

Good morning, ladies. I did a bit of desk work and then popped out into the garden to put out seed for the squirrels and birds. They all came running out about 1 minute after scattering some seed around for them. I just love how much closer they are coming to me. I had a little black squirrel come about a foot away from me. I can't move much or they run away so I try to remember to not make sudden moves and swing the camera around too quickly. It sure was chilly sitting out there. My fingers were stiff after about 20 minutes. Got lots of great pics so it was worth it.

Got my car back last night and it cost a fortune...probably more than what the car is worth...ugh. I know next yr I'll have to get a new car. They couldn't fix the intermittent wipers or electric locks. They don't make the replacements for them (my Optra was only out for a year, 12 yrs ago, so getting parts for it now is impossible). But hopefully it will hang in there for awhile and next yr I'll get my pension chq (the first one will be accumulative from Oct til whenever it finally gets processed, roughly 7-8 months). Isn't that crazy that it takes that long to get processed.

I'll be heading out later to get bird and dog food and other than that, a bit of scrapping and lots of desk work.

Chris - saved that recipe. Like Trudy said, subbing out breadcrumbs for pork rinds will work.

Trudy - your hike would have been a cold one today. Don't know if you have the wind we have but it has been very strong here since last evening.

Jean - we got the wind today too which makes it feel even colder than the low 40's it is.

I'd better get to work before running out for errands. Have a great day, everyone.

Late getting in here today. Trying to get caught up on my CT work... but still have a few more to do. It takes a bit to get back in the groove of scrapping after being gone for a week. Still have a few more to do but they will have to wait for a bit as the foot is bothering me after sitting most of the morning.

Was going to run over to BestBuy and get PSE2020 this morning. Decided to check to make sure it was in stock first... and wouldn't you know they were out of stock!!! Was able to order it on-line and it will be in on Dec 5th. At least I did get the sale price on it. Just as glad as think the 2nd front is coming in now... temp dropped 10 degrees in the last hour and the wind is up. It is just above freezing right now so if we get any moisture it will probably be snow. Had snow on the mountain last night and more predicted for the next couple of days.

One good thing happened today - I tried using my dishwasher and it worked like it should - dishes in the upper rack got cleaned like they should!!! Not sure what caused the last load to not get cleaned. Was dreading going out with my bad foot to look for a new one. It has acted up before then went back to working like it should - so guess this was another temporary 'hick-up'.

DD#1 called to let me know she was planning on making Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow - even though we had an early one at son Jim's last week. I will wait to see how the weather - and my foot - are before deciding whether to go there.

Chris... oh what a chore it is to clean up dog poop mixed in with the leaves! Sorry your washer needs repair... hate waiting for repair guys to show up.

Trudy, think you were wise to not go hiking with the weather as cold as it is. Did you figure out a price for the sign?? Since it is a custom made one it should be higher than others. Good luck on figuring that out.

Jean, we having high winds that are really cold, too.

Bea, so glad you are back with us again... great to see your smiling face.

Well, the foot is talking to me so time to get it propped up. CYL
Hope all in the US have a wonderful holiday tomorrow.
