Yup, it is correct. I am feeling very "off" on the dates. Not only am I screwing up days (yesterday I told the people at the dentist's office to "have a nice weekend." it was Tuesday), it doesn't feel like November since it was almost 70* yesterday. It's all very confusing o_O

The night before, I hadn't slept well, and the day/weather was not going all that great either. I needed some comfort food for dinner so I spent the entire afternoon making homemade pumpkin cinnamon rolls for dinner. They came out pretty OK. I expected more "pumpkin" flavor so if I make them again, I will double the pumpkin pie spice I used. In between dough risings, I started to gather the Halloween decorations to pack. I need some non-clutter areas before we think about Christmas decorations at the end of the month.
(Sorry for saying the C-Word. #angry2 )

My "big" plans today are cleaning for my friend and then who knows? My brain is in that loop where I waste time/freak out that I am not getting anything done/look at my to-do list/freak out some more/waste more time as a diversion/etc, and so on and so forth.
Someone else here has to recognize that loop. And someone has to tell me how to make it stop :D

Anyone?

@LSlycord high 5's to Syd on the certification score!! That is awesome!!
Sorry to hear that the jobs got pulled. The right one for you is out there. Here I am all excited that it was close to 70* yesterday, it was awesome running my errands without a coat. I would love for it to be the 80s again.
Everyone in my fam has been asking about Thanksgiving and I have no idea. I wish I liked Thanksgiving but I kinda don't. Scott is working this year on T-Day and he thought I would be upset. I will/would be much more upset if he had to work on Christmas. I have been trying to stock up on baking supplies- an extra lb of butter every other week, yesterday was a bag of brown sugar that was on sale. I just don't know how I am going to do it. 24 more hours to go until you see Syd!!

@vickyday and Linda, I started a page with the pic of Scott and Sam yesterday. I am really happy that the phrase Scott and Sam comes much more naturally to me. I told you all that my brain slipped after the Grad party and I said Scott and L. Eeeeeew. They both laughed but I don't want to do *that* again
Hope that your stomach is all better today, I would be very upset if I was lactose intolerant. Cheese and ice cream are two of my favorite food groups.
HAHAHAHA!! The wonderful wizard of suds!!! ROTFL!!!

@bcgal00 Yikes, I hope that the cold winter doesn't bother you too much. Jen doesn't have to drive too far to get to work, does she?
Hope that the town clears the roads quickly when it snows. I haven't heard of "Them," would Gary and I like it?
Hope all of the errands went well too

@Kythe Who needs candy when you make homemade cinnamon rolls? *winks*
Hope you are doing great too!

@Cherylndesigns Hope that you had a great rest of the day!

Good morning. I am grateful that I am not the one trying to keep the dates straight. I was sure it was Tuesday...but I remained aware that tomorrow was the day that I get to see Sydney and that happens on Thursday since she doesn't have classes that day.

What's on the docket today? I need to cook up taco meat and Sloppy Jo meat, need to go with Shaun to the AT&T store, complete my Social Security application. Let's face it, if I get all of that done, I'll have a full day.

I did make breaded pork tenderloins yesterday. That's a bit of an Iowa specialty that we can't find down here. So, I decided to make them and they turned out pretty good.

@faerywings and @vickyday thanks for the encouragement on the job. I know that you are right...the right job will arrive at the right time.

@faerywings well I'm glad that it isn't a bad thing for Scott to be missing Thanksgiving dinner. Which reminds me, I need to tell Shaun to make sure that he doesn't pick up a Thanksgiving shift.

@vickyday I'm glad that you were able to get some pictures before the leaves fell.

@bcgal00 that is a really quick drop in temps. I'll be looking forward to your photos of nature in snow.

@Kythe good morning!

@Cherylndesigns howdy! Do you hide at Adrienne's house while yours is being cleaned?

Hope everyone has a good day!!

Good morning, loelies.

Chris @faerywings get used to the working on holidays - it's just starting for you. I remember when it all started with us - my mom used to get so upset. Ours was that 3 of the 4 of us kids moved out of state, and she couldn't "have us" all together anymore. There was always somebody who couldn't get there. She always pouted about it. "I just wish one time that my WHOLE family could be here!" She was quite the drama queen, too. We have that now, but nobody pouts - we Facetime a lot.

Linda @LSlycord you just made me giggle. I don't always hide at Adrienne's, but yesterday I was feeling "non-talkative". I love Casey, but she was bringing her 11 year old dd and she sits in my office with me and talks the whole time. Normally, it doesn't bother me, but I was "out of sorts" yesterday. Adrienne works from home so she told me to bring my laptop and work there. Yesterday wasn't one of my banner days. I felt bad too because Casey brought me a bottle of wine from one of our local wineries. Then I felt bad because I wasn't here. Oh, the "mom guilt" never stops. Oh well, I'll make it up to her. Have a fun time with your girl and congrats on her score!

I missed your post, Vicky @vickyday but hope you're feeling better today.

It's sunny, 59 going up to 73 - not bad for November 2nd. I had to laugh at some of you and your mixed up days - I do that all the time. yesterday was Monday, so today's Tuesday. Hahaha

I need to get out and cut my flowers back, but not sure I feel like it - hoping for some incentive later. I definitely need to take my poor dead ferns down and throw them away. Hoping I can get that done today or tomorrow.

Have a good WEDNESDAY everybody. I just looked and it IS Wednesday.

Good morning ladies. I am staying home today except for a quick trip to the grocery store. I want to get some CT work done, organize some things around the house and bake some muffins. We will watch a few more episodes of "Them" tonight. Not sure what I want for dinner, maybe a big salad with chicken strips.

@faerywings Them is set in the 50's, about a black family moving into an all white neighborhood. It is about racism and herd mentality, with supernatural mixed in. I read that the craziness just keeps increasing all through the episodes and I can't wait to see what happens.

@LSlycord @faerywings You are not alone. I too mix up days (a lot). I have to look at my phone to double check LOL. The family knows to check my appt times and dates b/c I mess that up all the time.

I'm being herded by Remi (slight whining at me and then at the door) as she tells me that it's time to go feed the birds. HAGD everyone.

We cross-posted...good morning @Cherylndesigns I need to cut back our bushes but I think I'm supposed to wait until early spring to do that b/c I think that promotes growth or is that only for flowering bushes? I'm not a gardener by any stretch of the imagination, that's for sure.

I'm not sure either, but I cut some of them back last fall. I think you can cut the ornamental grasses anytime (I have some of them. We're in zone 7, so I need to look and make sure - thanks for posting this. Whatever I did last year, didn't seem to hurt any of my flowers. Wish I could remember. LOL

Don't feel bad! Every once in a while, I slip and call/write my name as Vicky Day! Fortunately, Mark loved his pastor (my husband) so he just laughs!
My tummy was somewhat better today. It will never be 100%. Did I mention that I love having IBS?.......NOT!
I knew you would like my wizard comment! ;)

Thx Vicky. They are my new readers for the computer. My bifocals don't work well with the focal distance of my chair to the computer monitor so these work better for that distance and not so good for the other distances. I just can't seem to get glasses that work for all distances, maybe that's not possible, I don't know.
