Oy!!! what a crazy head day I had. It reminded me that I need to write things down. In detail.

Gary forgot to go through his closet to see if he had something to wear, and I pulled out a couple of options. He thought that he was going to wear nice jeans and a nice shirt. My mom had said that we would be sitting at a head table and the fire fighters in dress uniforms so I thought that he would need something dressier. A soon as I said head table he quietly freaked out and said that he wouldn't be able to do that, too stressful. I get that but there isn't any way I would be able to get out of it.

When my mom gets here, she has all different information and stuff that she had said was off or I misinterpreted. Scott had an outfit, but then she thought he needed one so she picked up pants and a shirt. The pants have to be returned. Gary told me what size he was but I couldn't remember when we got to the store so I looked for pants that were a size off. They have to be returned and I have to look for a pair that is the right size. The entire day was like that.

But I survived. I tried to work on her laptop and was able to fix a couple of problems but one I cannot figure out. It won't shut down from the Star Menu. You click on Shut Down and it reboots every time. You have to use the power button to turn it off. Have any of you heard of that issue? Odd. Just odd.

Today I have to go food shopping and deep clean my kitchen so I can start working on F-W's stuff tomorrow.

Please tell me that you have more excitement in your days than I have LOL
xoxo

Nancy- oh jeez! Not being able to use commands with Luther must be like not tell a toddler Hot when they reach for the stove. But I am sure it will make such a difference in the long run. He must adore the attention too.
We blocked the dogs off in the LR with the baby gate. J would bark but couldn't get to the door so that helped. She seemed to bark less as the night went on too.

Jean- today I did see the headlines-- Tonight is going to be one heck of a nail-biter. I am rooting hard for you!!!
November will be a fantastic month!! woo hoo!! (trying to say that sincerely hahaha!!!)

Rae- that amount of kids is just insane! How do you afford the candy? Cripes! Poor Taz. Hopefully, this will be the end of loud events for a while so he won't have to hide. Did Darrell make it through the full work day? Hope so!
You are like the dog whisperer for training. Unfortunately, we flip between down/off when J jumps on people and I know we must confuse her. It doesn't help that it makes her ignore us completely. ugh :(

Trudy- I totally get the procrastination. I do that all of the time too. I hate it when my day is chopped up and I feel like these isn't enough time to get started on one project so I waste the time in between. I know that you will get those calendar done, you always do.
Hope the weather is good for your hike today. I am getting my hair done on Friday, and part of me can't wait, part of me is totally stressed LOL
Hope that the weather does not get too cold for you, but if the rest of the year flies by the way the past couple of months have, then it will be spring before you know it!!
I always wish this and then wish that spring and summer would be nice and slow. It never works out that way! tee hee!

Hugs!!!!

good morning - well I am beginning to think I should train my DH with Luther. My DH came in limping with hand bleeding as Luther went after chipmunks and that pulled the rope and he went down and twisted his leg when Luther went for a cat. Luther's training is going well except that Luther clocked (accidentally) the trainer's head and bent her glasses. He has a hard head. She said it was not malicious so he was not in trouble. I said he is a big dog. He is not being workout at training and so he comes back needing to get rid of energy so we walked 1.8 miles. It was gorgeous out and should be even nicer today. I cleaned yesterday and grocery shopped and went to bed early as I was so tired.

Chris everyone has those kind of days. You and your mom are sweet to do the shopping for the boys. My youngest son loves to shop even more than I do. And he is good at it. I am sure you will find the correct outfits!

Jean so sorry about the game. Game 7's are so stressful. I have been through so many with my Devils wins and losses. Hopefully the rain will hold off. But the temps are nice.!

Rae and Trudy we do not have fireworks with Halloween! You both had so many kids WOW!

Rae yes it is hard to forget certain commands but all for a good cause. Hope your sick house gets better soon! That is not fun! Getting out does help though!

Trudy I feel too the need to get to work on my calendars. I am not sure what I want to do so I am too procrastinating. It must have been beautiful to see the fireworks across the Lake!

Have a great day all!

Morning ladies... Wow it is just pouring outside and windy!! Another storm moving in so I will not be on my hike today. Instead I will go and get my flu shot at DH's office. Then work on my calendars and hopefully get a challenge done today too! Yesterday I got in 25 laps, three more than than last week and slowly I will work it up to at least 30/35? I usually only like to stay for an hour or so. We will see how many laps I can work in for that time frame. My new swimsuit is much nicer than the last one I had and easier to get on and off of my fat body :becky: hoping to take off at least a few pounds with this swimming and watching my diet, only to put it all on again while on holiday LOL. Oh well what can I do, my darn thyroid is sluggish and after all I am no 30 anymore

Chris - My goodness such a weird day for you yesterday! I hope you can get the clothes all straightened out and that the laptop issues get fixed also! Don't stress about getting your hair done!! Relax and enjoy every moment of someone pampering you silly girl!! Yes wouldn't it be nice if time stood still for the spring and summer months!! Well we can dream can't we?? LOL

Nancy - Your poor DH ! Yes you need to give him lessons on how to go for a walk with Luther :becky: I don't think I have ever heard you say that you have been hurt while walking him! If you think I had lots of kids, my sister was telling me that she took her granddaughter into her town and in one neighbourhood they usually get upward to 300 kids for Halloween and many of them make up special treat bags with numerous items in them  I don't know how they can afford to do that!!

Ok I better hit the shower and get going I need to be at the office at 9am and I still haven't had my shower. Back in a flash to catch up with the rest of you!!

Good morning, ladies. Had a quieter night last night, just a few firecrackers going off early in the night. Taz stayed upstairs and slept in my chair with me but he refused to go outside b/c he'd heard the sounds earlier. With my lingering sickness and fatigue, I need to sleep and just dreaded getting up in the middle of the night with Taz, so I told Darrell I was taking him out front on his leash, will bundle up and stand under the overhang of the roof up against the house beside the porch and am staying there until he goes to the bathroom. It was dark, windy, cold and raining....and I stood there for about 15 min but he finally went. I praised him like he was the first dog to ever go to the bathroom outside LOL. We went in, got him a cookie and then went to bed and slept all night until 6:00. Whew...I needed that. LOL. Hubs and I were saying to each other that this sickness is weird. We feel somewhat better, yet we are tired and drained, still a bit of a cough and I'm still blowing my nose every five minutes, with a bit of tummy upset. It just doesn't want to go away. I'm just thankful that it's not fullblown that I can't get out of bed and function. So, we are on day 12 of the sickness....ugh.

The weather is miserable out there right now. Hope it stops raining later when I walk the dogs. I have to go for blood work later this afternoon. It's the first time I made an online appt to go so I'll see how much faster that gets me in. I'll bring my e-reader just in case I'm stuck sitting for a long time, waiting.

Chris - yes, we spent a fortune on candy. We agreed though that we can manage it and it's worth it for the kids, they only get one day a year for this, and so many of our neighbors don't participate. Isn't it sad that candy (and all food) has gone up so much in price these last couple of years. We are spending double what we used to for a lot less food. Gotta love our economy....grrr. As to your computer problems, I'm no help. I have zero skills with tech stuff. Good luck with that.

Nancy - your poor hubs. Reminds me of the time my retriever, Sandy, raced off after a bird and took me with her, dragging me along and dislocated my shoulder...good times LOL. Reading about Luther and the bent glasses. I have a story like that too. Yrs ago, my chow/shepherd cross, Cali, raced down the hallway to bring the ball back to me but she didn't stop when she reached me (I was sitting crosslegged on the floor at the other end) and just barreled right into me, mangling my glasses, cutting my nose and chipped my front tooth while loosening the one beside it. I ended up having to get a bridge put in. Gotta love our animal stories, eh? LOL.

Trudy - hope your weather is better than what we have here today and you have a nice hike.

I need more coffee and have to get dressed as I'm sitting here in my jammies still. Have a wonderful day, everyone.

Hi Trudy....cross-posting again :)

I am in the same boat as you....far from 30 lol....thyroid sluggish metabolism...all make it so hard to lose weight so I am not trying too hard anymore. Life is too short. I'll try to get some exercise, eat sensibly while having some indulgences. Good for you for the hiking and swimming.

While still warm it is gray and that's how I'm feeling given the disappointment in game 6 last night. As Nancy says, it'll be a nail-biter tonight.

Hope you'll all forgive lack of personals, I just want to get out while it's still warm and forget chores etc.

Hope it's a good day for you.
