The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
It's Hump Day! How are you all doing today? I hope everyone had a fantastic day yesterday as well.

It was coooold yesterday morning, but thankfully it wasn't as windy as it had been earlier in the week. The chilliest part of the day was waiting for the school bus to pull up. The group was half an hour late and while we chatted about a bunch of stuff while standing there, it was making my toes cold. The kids were fun, they did the cooperative games really well.
I had some extra time in the morning to gather some pine and spruce cones for the gnomes for the Winter Fair, which is in 2 1/2 weeks(!!!!!!). That means that I still have to get through Thanksgiving, 2 more JW Pod Field Trips, and Jaida's surgery. Oh mannnnnnnn. :thud:

Life comes at ya fast!

I was thinking that I would relax this morning before I go to clean for my friend this afternoon. But maybe not. *gulps*
*Sorts and resorts through the to-do list in my head*
The lesson plan for Monday should be my priority. Especially considering I had a dream last night that I was with a group of kids and had nothing prepped.
Clean my desk. I was looking for the Thanksgiving menu and who was bringing what yesterday, and I have no idea where I placed it.
Coffee. Drink coffee....

Hahaha!!
Who is with me?

HAGD!

The laser treatment was planned with my check-up visit, but I figured I would have a little bit of pain at the least! That part was the pleasant surprise!
That's amazing! Especially since you didn't need Novocaine, that needle hurts sooo much.
Hope that your head and stomach are all better by now.

And, by the way, all of that was in our new (to us) Tucson. It has all the bells and whistles so it is fun to drive. Looking forward to driving it to Minneapolis to see Syd.
Very cool!!! Congrats and have fun!!
I was lying on the floor while Wavy covered me in puzzle pieces. I was wondering if Brian would need to come give me a hand to get up but I did it!
BWUAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
:coffeescreen:
The frosting decor -I mean the cookies- sound wonderful and fun and probably sweet and sticky too. Love the memories you are making with the kids. ♥

What took you so long? I'm shocked you didn't have this verification last year :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh:
:lol23: I think I knew it already, but that just got reinforced again. :D
Today we should get our cow.
Man, the thoughts that went through my head reading that. At first, I was like, Wow, a pet cow! That is amazing!!!! I wanna pet a cow. Then- wait, not a living cow. Parts of a frozen cow. To eat. Ewwwwww.
And then sad.... poor cow.
I hope that you have a quiet morning today.
A quick in and out for me. I am busy planning a Xmas party for our grammas group and getting ready for 3 more markets in between cards and swimming. Fun but busy time.
I shouldn't be complaining about my tasks that are piling up, you have me beat by a long shot!

Our son's 3 acre pond at his property in NY was from a beaver dam...it is so cool but sadly they have moved on upstream. Apparently when they exhaust building materials they move on, there is ample food for sure but not too many small trees left. I used to love to watch them every afternoon checking the dam and towing food around.
I would love to see that.

washed sheets/ remade the bed, put stuff away after floor removal, I patched some holes in the kitchen walls from nails. Cleaned bathrooms, polished the marble top on the antique that will remain in new kitchen, I also oiled the wood cabinet.
Are you supposed to be doing that much? I feel like you aren't supposed to be doing that much. :thinking2:
Now you just have to live in the state of NM to be eligible to have cards from any city/county library. WHOO-whoo!! :dancing6:
That is sooo cool!!! You will never run out of books to read.

Have a great day, my friends!

Have a great day, my friends!
Thank you! Yes, I'm feeling much better today! I'm beginning to have Chris-itis however! I can't sleep past 5:30 any more!

Good Morning!
I am feeling better today, thank You, Lord! So, I will go ahead and shower and wash my hair for church tonight and get dressed for church before I go to Ilene's and spend the day. It looks like it could rain today.

I got my October Monthly Review done yesterday, however I want to do another set of pages for the trip we took to Alabama so I can celebrate no falls/broken bones this time! ;)

I got my Day 19 done this morning and posted here: https://oscraps.com/community/threads/november-30-days-challenge-day-19.43209/. I'm giving you the link so you can read the process I did with the images I used for today's post.....if you are interested.

The neighbors are clearing out some of the trees next to our property back in the woods. A house is going to be built somewhere back in there. We are hoping it is only going to be one house and not a bunch of houses anyway! We will lose our privacy if that happens! Our cabin and other things may not be quite so secluded and safe any longer, either! One thing I do like is that we have a better view of the sunset now. Mark took this picture last night:

Ain't that a beauty?! Won't be so pretty if that field ends up full of houses, however! :crying1: Fingers crossed that doesn't happen!

OK that's it for me. Need to get ready.
Have a great day!

@vickyday That looks sooooo beautiful...I hope for your sake that it doesn't get filled with houses so in the mean time...snap those photos.
Glad you are feeling better today and are up to your daily life again.

@faerywings about your dream...I think you would be fine with kids and no plan, your skills would let you have a fabulous time with them.
Thanks for the concern but I am trying to get back to my normal life so I do push a little more.

@LSlycord I have friend who have Tucson and they really like them, I wish you all the luck and enjoy the ride.

@BrightEyes wow you really read allot. I'm jealous I like to read but find it hard to read long times.

We stopped at the club this morning to drop off the "Toys for Tots" purchases from yesterday and to check to see how the turkeys are thawing that we are cooking on Sunday for Thanksgiving Feast, we have over 60 people signed up we usually have 10 over the amount that sign up so we will be having a large group. 5- 24 to 27lb turkeys and 2 hams.
I won my last hurtle about the kitchen. I wanted the black slate behind the antique too but he said no no no...today he ordered more so we can do that...I'm so happy it will add so much to that wall. Black slate, dry stack and a small live edge board ---Happy dance being done here. We will go to Clearwater friday to pick it up then lunch out I guess my German Grandma was right when she said "things work out for the best"
I just got off the phone with DD. She is doing more decorating in her new home so wanted another opinion so It was nice to chat with her about fun stuff.
Hubby is out to lunch with his buddies. I am off to PT in a few minutes, it's so nice to be driving again.

Good Morning!!!!
What happened? My alarm didn't go off! I looked, it was set. Never went off. Guess I needed the extra sleep but now I feel so behind an my neck hurts. Heating pad here I come.

Man, the thoughts that went through my head reading that. At first, I was like, Wow, a pet cow! That is amazing!!!! I wanna pet a cow. Then- wait, not a living cow. Parts of a frozen cow. To eat. Ewwwwww.

Sorry this made you sad.:hug3: If we were to get a pet cow, it would be a Scottish Highland Cow. They're so cute. But yes, this cow had its best life. It was fed all day long and happy and treated very well. Local farmer, huge fields and all the grass/hay it could want. Acres and acres to roam and run. Quick humane end. And now it will feed my family for a year. :heartpumppink:
One thing I do like is that we have a better view of the sunset now. Mark took this picture last night:
WOW what a sunset!!! I hope you get what you want and its just one house not a row of houses.
to check to see how the turkeys are thawing that we are cooking
Man Debby you freaked me out at first. I thought wait what I need to have turkey thawing already??? AAAHHHHHH then I kept reading and yall are eating Sunday. Whew, breath, its all good. I will pull ours out Sunday to start thawing.
I won my last hurtle about the kitchen. I wanted the black slate behind the antique too but he said no no no...today he ordered more so we can do that...I'm so happy it will add so much to that wall
WOO HOOO!!!!!!! I cant wait to see this new kitchen. It sounds amazing and beautiful. I love the idea of your slate.

Not much happening today. Will do a lot of sitting after slightly maybe probably over doing it. Had to plow the berm the stupid plow guy left at our driveway. They're not suppose to do that. Then the kitchen, man a month of just men "cleaning" and picking up. Why cant they see that the counter covered in stuff is stressful? So yeah, I cleaned the acres and acres of countertop I have. Put all the boxed foods away, the clean dishes that belong in the utility room, scrubbed the counters, moved appliances and scrubbed, washed every single dish that didn't fit in dishwasher. Ran to town, errands, quick grocery shop (I mostly sat in the car except the grocery store). Home, finish cleaning kitchen and dishes. Ate on paper plates so no more dishes. Then we had to run back to town and get the cow. Come home and put it all away in the freezer. Yep, might have over done it a bit yesterday. So today I am going to sit. I feel I should run to the church and see how dinner prep/serving is going since I have missed so many but they are okay and know what they are doing. I need to just stay home. Its so hard for the control freak in me not to go do. Next week will be busy so I will sit for today. Maybe I can scrap today. We shall see.

Have a great day.

It's turning into a busy week. I can't seem to catch up, but when I look back, I think there hasn't been anything very big, just a lot of little stuff that just keeps coming. But I guess that's life.

David had an ophthalmologist appointment Monday. He has an odd kind of glaucoma in just his left eye, and he's slowly losing peripheral vision from it, so he and the doctor see each other frequently. He's had a couple different surgeries, and now it's looking like he needs another, which won't happen until late January because of our planned travels. In the meantime, he's been given a new oral medicine to take. We picked it up and the receipt said we saved $800 because of our insurance. Thank goodness for insurance.

We will have a work day Saturday to finish building a bridge on one of the trails that needs it, so we walked down there this morning to measure how much wood and screws and what else we need. County Parks & Rec built the structural frame, so we just have to add the decking and ramps at each end. Crossing my fingers it doesn't rain.

Yesterday I had PT and they said I can stop the walker and use cane...I am so happy, it's so much easier.
Yay! The walker is a pain to use. I was lucky not to need one for either knee replacement, but they made me use one for my hip replacement. I don't think I really needed it, but I was 15 years older so they probably worked off a different set of assumptions.

Scott always has a tough time with the this/next days and weeks so I have make sure I tell him the date too.
I can never-never-never figure out the this/next day reference. It just doesn't make sense to me. If today is Wednesday, is a week from today next Wednesday? Then what is this Wednesday? I just don't see it. I'm with Scott on this one.

There is NOTHING like sitting on the couch, wool blanket to snuggle under, hot coffee in hand and watching it snow.
Well there may be nothing like it, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be happier on a beach with a good book, a big beach umbrella, and someone bringing me a pina colada.

Not to mention, how can you *not* be excited to talk about beavers?
We have a shallow basin along one of our trails, built with a dam, for the purpose of protecting the Chesapeake Bay drainage from silt. Every so often a family of beavers finds it. You can see their pointy tree harvesting technique along the edges of the basin, and their lodge, close to the shore. It's so exciting! Unfortunately, the water authority removes them pretty quickly, generally within a year.

It was coooold yesterday morning, but thankfully it wasn't as windy as it had been earlier in the week
Yesterday was crazy cold, gray, rainy, raw. I DID NOT want to go out to chorus rehearsal in the evening. And then when I got to the place we meet, there was no heat. Just give me spring already.

One thing I do like is that we have a better view of the sunset now. Mark took this picture last night:
Gorgeous sunset!

I'm so happy it will add so much to that wall. Black slate, dry stack and a small live edge board ---Happy dance being done here.
It's going to be fantastic. Can't wait to see the finished pictures.

Well I’m for sure running behind in getting in here. Got up plenty early. Brought bacon (close your ears Chris) up to Sydney as her work team had a Friendsgiving breakfast today. So I got up and cooked that while she got ready for work. Then I went out to eat breakfast…no coffee at Sydney’s. Had a delicious Dutch baby with strawberries and bananas. And 4 cups of coffee. lol

Then went to Kohls and found some toys for the kids to keep at our house. Looked into a trip to Portugal next September. Then finished my book and took a nap instead of starting another one.

Syd has another interview on Monday. It isn’t even a screening interview this time. It is a 45 minute interview with the head of the engineering department. Location? Gainesville, FL. Are you kidding me? We just moved away from Florida. She goes to UF in Gainesville. Seriously. Well, we shall see!
