The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hey there O-Fam!
Thank goodness the sun is out. The weather has made me crankier than usual so it is nice to see some blue sky. I am not sure if it is the cold in my bones or if I slept funny but I am creaky and cranky so far today. Coffee and sunshine should turn me around. Some Advil might help too. I take some as soon as I get some breakfast.
After I picked up my groceries, I ended up making the dog treats instead of dealing with the windows. I had three dogs at my feet, you would think that oatmeal and sweet potato wouldn't have a strong smell but darn if they don't know exactly what I am doing. Ray didn't have a good day yesterday which makes me sad. The day before she was walking around better and yesterday she was in her wobbly pacing mode. I hate seeing that. :( Her appt is today and my fingers are crossed it is nothing serious but better to know for sure.

I am not sure if I am going to do the windows today. I probably should get started. I won't be able to get into Caitlyn's room since she has meetings scheduled all day. It has been brutal this past week since course registration opened on Monday and anyone who hadn't met with her yet for advisement has Holds on their accounts and now they are all racing in at the last minute. I really hope that the internet stays up all day. It has been cutting in and out for almost two weeks and that makes it even harder to do everything remotely.

That is about it. I wish I had more exciting and happy things to share.
Hugs to everyone!!

Trudy- Your weather sounded like ours had been, minus the fog. Dreary and damp and windy. Hope that the power stayed on. I have to get into the backyard today. The wind from the weekend knocked over the chairs and bench and no one put them upright yet.
How are Heather and the boys doing? Can you share a happy story of Hunter, they always cheer me up when I think of him laughing with you.
You can be jealous of Caitlyn's heated seats if I can be jealous of a cut/color.

Rae- many, many good thoughts to your DD's FIL. I hope that he is able to recover and quickly. That breaks my heart...
Thanks for the diet ideas, every website we have looked at seems to have different foods to eat and avoid. It must be a more personalized approach to what triggers each person has and that is making it really difficult.

Cheryl- Are the bathrooms almost done???? How is everything looking????
So exciting!

Trudy- My parents are so silly, thinking that they are imposing on Scott for help. I keep telling (yelling?? LOL) that they are doing *him* the favor. He is happy to help and to get out of the house a bit. I admit I was a bit jealous that he got to see them even if only for a little while. It was on the tip of my tongue to tell him to give them hugs from me, something I would normally say, but I said to send them hugs instead.

Wait wait-- the air fryer is also a toaster oven? Did I miss that?? That is what I need, something that will toast bread as well as heat food. If it does that, I might ask for that too!!

Nancy- it is a good solid trade-off, Dr. Pepper for being quiet with DS is working :pound:
I was wondering about testing up here too, if there will be enough. I cannot believe that NJ is back where we were in the Spring! The way things stand right now, I am extremely concerned that there will not be a good transition and that the vax distribution is going to suffer.
yay for puppies on the street! (Especially pretty ones like Luther. )
Thanks for letting me know you are doing humane removal! Gary said that if we couldn't get the mice under control humanely here... I had to tell him that he had better keep that to himself! :p

I guess I should start getting ready for the day. xoxo

Morning lovely O's!! It is another very wet and grey morning. Not sure that I will be hiking or not. I will leave it until around 9am before I decide. The hike is very close to me, just out my backdoor and up the mountain behind me, but I do not like hiking in a downpour. So I will wait and see if the rain lets up a bit. Not much else on the agenda today. Perhaps I will get my Calendar finished? We will see what the day brings. I need to start my online grocery shopping also. I have a couple of gift idea's from Heather for the boys, so I will look into purchasing those too. Sounds like a lot of time spent sitting and staring at the screen today LOL. My backside will be hurting!

Chris - How nice for you that the sun will be out and the sky will be blue! It sure makes the body and the mind feel so much better doesn't it! Send some sunshine my way please, we are in for many more days of rain! I bet the dogs were so happy that you decided to make the treats for them yesterday! Hope you can get your windows done today, then that will be one less job for you! I bet that Scott had a great day with your parents and yup Gary's parents are the same, they think they are imposing on us when they ask for our help. Of course we remind them that we constantly say if you need anything just ask!!! LOL. Hope that the Vet visit goes well, poor puppy!! give her some belly rubs from me!

Nancy - Had to laugh about the Dr. Pepper, your son knows your weak spot! Hope you are not having to be too quiet all day long, its hard to be inconspicuous when your guys are busy working all day long! Hope you are enjoying the apple tv + and yes the language thing is sometimes difficult to listen too! Hope you and Luther are having a nice walk again today!

Ok I better get my morning chores done and see what the weather forecast is like for later this morning. Have a great Wednesday everyone!

Morning, gals... whoooo...oooo...ooo... out of breath. I woke up twice during the night - uncomfortable then realized that there was a slight indentation where my body was laying on the mattress. It dawned on me this morning that I haven't rotated the mattress for a couple of years. We got it about a year before DH passed away - and I never thought to rotate it. We used to do that with ours every year. Thank goodness it is a queen and wasn't too heavy for me rotate it around on top of the bed support/adj frame. I need to remember to do it every year now. Keep running into things like that that DH used to do or remind me to do.

I did a happy dance yesterday... my handicap placards came in the mail. Good thing as the old ones expired yesterday. Yes, I have a paper for extending them but it is a pain to dig out and use. Now... if only my driver's license will come soon.

Managed to get the :washing: done yesterday except for the sheets from my bed. Ended up cutting one of the king size blankets down to a queen [cut off 8" down one side]. Now it won't drag on the floor. Been saying I was going to get that done for the past two years. I was thinking that I might use the excess and make some muffs [hand warmer rolls] as my hands get cold even when the room temp is 72. Hate to throw the excess away as it velour and so soft and warm.

Trudy, sorry your weather is damp so you can't take your hike. We have 2 more days of warm before the next cold front comes in.

Chris, hope you get some sun and you can get outside for a bit. Know that will help with your mood.

Cheryl... let us know once the tile/fixtures/lights are in place. Can't wait to see the photos.

Nancy... had to LOL over your son bringing you a case of Dr. Pepper. That is my drink when I have a soda. Funny... now that DH isn't here drinking his diet Dr. Pepper, I don't have the urge to have one. I keep some on hand for when the family is over... but ended up giving them to the kids once we stopped getting together this year. Yes, it is hard to not try to be quiet when you know others are working on-line.

Rae, so sorry to hear about your DD's FiL... hoping he pulls through.

Time to get off the computer and do a couple more chores around the house - now that I am feeling better. CYL

Good afternoon, my lovelies. I'm trying to get started here, too. Chuck keeps calling me in to look at things on his computer. He's ordering our drawer pulls for the kitchen - we need 25 of them. They're SO cool - metal, but brown (of course). He's also ordering our door knobs and shower heads. It's getting closer!

Chris, what kind of dog treats do you bake? I'd love to make some for Daisy, but her tummy is kind of sensitive, so I'd love a bland recipe. (Why don't I go online and look? BWAHAHA) Just made me think about it when you talked about making them.

Glad you got your groceries and hope you've had your Advil and coffee and are feeling better. I'm on my second cup of coffee and starting to feel my blood flowing. I slept in today - I love to sleep in.

Girls, we're going up to the house today, so I'll have new pictures! YAY! Chuck saw them taking our flooring out of the barn today - so that is happening - we always try to wait until they're done working because we get up there and there are about 6 guys working and 4 trucks parked in front. It's hard for us to get turned around to come back down the hill.

I promise to have a new update tomorrow. We're getting ready to order our blinds, too, so they can hang them for us. I decided to just get those wood blinds - they don't have strings - you just touch the bottom and they go all the way up. I'm going to start with them, then do some kind of draperies when we get in and I decide what I really want. At least the windows will be covered for night time.

Nancy, I also got a chuckle out of the trade of the Dr. Pepper. LOL That's a great trade-off!

Trudy, boo for the rain! Somehow, I missed seeing your card. Is it in the gallery? I'd love to see it!

Kay, bless your heart for getting that mattress flipped! I know that I depend on my hubby so much to do things just like that. It has to be such a life change. Sending you hugs today. I'm going to put new pictures on my album tonight, so I'll have a new link tomorrow. Glad you got your handicap placards - just in time!

Vicky and Mary Jo, I'm not sure if you've seen the links to our new home project, Mary Jo, you asked me yesterday (in the gallery) if that was our new home. It's not - it's a picture of the cute little lake cottage we've been temporarily staying in while our house is being finished. I'll have an updated link tomorrow.

Well, my lovelies, I'd better get busy - I want to check the challenges and see if I can get another one done and visit the gallery. Hugs to all and all to come on here later.
