*huge sigh of relief*
I am not out of the Lyme Woods just yet but I am starting to feel slightly more human and that is a good, good thing. Really smart of my hubs to tell me to take the week off from Tindamax. I would be in way worse shape than I am, for sure.

I honestly don't know how I made it through food shopping. The mood swings, the heart palpitations, the brain fog, and THE PARKING LOT!!!! My Shop Rite really the pits on so many levels and it is the only one we have in town. Since we got the TJ MAXX open, SR decided that it would be smart to redesign the parking lot. And wow, they made a mess of it! Dead ends, trees in weird places, the spots are short and the lanes are even more narrow. I had parked behind a long pick up, like a Ram and he was partially in my space so I was slightly sticking out. No worries, it wasn't that bad. Until I came out when I was done and there was another huge pick up next to me. I had a crazy a** hard time trying to back out. I told Gary it was like a K-Turn times 100.
Only my town can take something, try to improve it and make a bigger mess. Brendan said that sales are way, way down, even though it is the only supermarket nearby. People are aggravated that the food itself is bad- not only produce, but meat and seafood, so they are traveling up the mountain to go to the Shop Rite in NY. When I have more time, I am going to start doing the same.

I honestly don't know where the rest of my day went. Does that ever happen to you? I know I was home a little before lunch time. Folded laundry and cooked dinner. But the rest of the day? No clue. I did try to call the Medicaid office and got the same message- High Call Volume,Try again later. We should know by now what the deal is and the not knowing is stressing me out. As if I need more stress. bwahaha haha!!!

Today, I have to figure out what I need to do with the rest of my life. Then I am cleaning for my neighbor. Should be a fun day.

Hope that all of you have a fantastic day!!! Hugs and love to all!

I checked what today is. Today is Button Day:

The appeal of buttons is clear. They come in every shape, colour and style, from pearly white shirt buttons, to ornate Victorian affairs, to cute fastenings shaped like insects and animals. Any outfit can be updated by adding the right buttons, and sewing them on is one of the easiest types of needlework to learn. And they don’t just belong near buttonholes, either. Clusters of buttons can be used to decorate almost everything, and even on their own in jars they are delightful to handle, play with and admire. Some collect them, but most just lose them. Regardless, nearly everyone seems to love them, or at least regard them with fascination.
In case you may be thinking that buttons do not deserve their own holiday, try to imagine what life would be like without them. Sure, we have zippers and velcro, but could you imagine velcro down the front of your elegant blouse? Of course not!
The History of Button Day
The National Button Society, founded in 1938, established Button Day as a celebration for all who enjoyed collecting and crafting with buttons. Ever since then, Button Day has been celebrated every year on November 16th.
How to Celebrate Button Day
There’s no need to let the buttons on worn-out clothes go to waste! Whenever you can, snip them off, and start a collection this Button Day. In fact, a great place to come across interesting button is at the thrift shop. You may have to cut them off a given piece of clothing, but when you’re getting something unique for your collection, who really cares? The buttons you collect can be used for many different things, like repairing clothes with missing buttons. But that’s not all! Buttons are an excellent source of craft ideas. You’d be amazed at how many delightfully cute gadgets can be made and/or decorated using buttons, such as picture frames, clocks, purses and bags, headbands, costume jewelry, lamp shades, and even shoes!
When you decorate with buttons, you can be 100% sure that whatever you make will be completely unique, and that nobody else in the world will have the same look as you do. And if you’re not quite feeling up to arts and crafts, remember that buttons can simply be a joy in and of themselves, if even just to look at. Children can enjoy examining buttons as well, but if you do decide to give your button collection to your child to look at, make sure he or she is old enough to know better than to put them in his or her mouth, because neglecting to do that could result in a tragedy.
So take some time on this day to either go though your existing button collection or start a new one, and enjoy Button Day to the fullest! Who knows, perhaps you possess in your collection an antique button that’s been passed down for so long that you’ve never stopped to think about where it came from. Keep your eyes open! Every now and them someone discovers a treasure that had just been sitting around collecting dust at their home. And even if you don’t, and all you have is regular buttons, don’t worry and just enjoy an afternoon looking at the pretty, shiny little things. At the end of the day, people are animals, and there’s nothing animals like better than something pretty and shiny.

ACK!!!!!!!!!!! As if I need another reason to be stressed! I hate buttons!!!!!
(For those that don't know, I really hate buttons, can't wear clothes with buttons, and can't use them on scrap pages, even if they are digital buttons. )

Nancy- it was pouring here too. I hope that it helps the ground water levels although I think that one day of rain is nowhere near enough. I almost bailed on shopping but it is hard for me to do 2 things in one day, and since I have to clean this afternoon, I would have a hard time with that. Glad that Luther was able to get out for his walk before it rained too hard.
I miss hearing the stories from Caitlyn last year from the preschool. Kids are funny.

I see that I missed a lot here the last few days- I am against hunting for sport and I abhor the bear hunt here in NJ. But I do appreciate that some hunting is necessary and hope that it is respectful and not wasteful.
Rae is feeling better too? Yay!!!!

Trudy- ITA- the hikers in the rain are nuts. Heck, I didn't even want to walk through a parking lot in the rain! :p
How is the weather today? It is gorgeous for a Nov day here. Sunny and should be in the mid 50's. Hoping the same for you!
I came home yesterday to see that Gary had washed all of the dishes in the sink and put them away. That was awesome! Every little bit helps. How are Mason and Heather? Is he starting to make his Christmas list for Santa yet? That is something I *have* to start working. I have a gift card for the Disney Store and I have gifts picked out for Brendan and Leah. More than I would typically spend n cash but since I have the gift card, might as well use it.

Rae- I cannot tell you how happy and relieved I am that you are finally feeling better!!!! Just don't overdo it and relapse. That burst of energy is a good thing, but can also be bad if you do too much. And ask me... how do I know about that???? hahaha!!!!!
Add me to the jealous of a vacation list too. I can be jealous and thrilled at the same time, so it is all good. :)
OMG!!!!! Taz has me LMBO!!!! That must have been hysterical to watch!!!! What in the world would I do without dog stories!!??

Hi, Jana!! So happy to see you here intheOoos! Where in NJ do you live? I am way up north in West Milford aka Bear Country but grew up in Parsippany. nancyr is also in NJ.
Vegan- that is a tough diet to follow. My DD is vegetarian and I don't eat beef or pork. She would like to be vegan but can't give up cheese. Several of her friends are vegan and I stress when they come for dinner but they are always so happy to even have some pasta with olive oil and garlic. If you ever have good recipes to share, especially ones with lots of protein and iron, feel free to pass them along. I am always looking for ideas of what to cook.:)
I am enjoying your videos too, keep them coming, please.

Cindy- I feel your pain. My ABS sensor was $400 on Monday. My parents are getting a new car in the spring and we inherit their old cars and I can't wait to have one of them. I am driving a 2005 Saturn VUE and while it has only 88,000 miles, t is expensive to repair since there aren't any parts.
Their old 1999 CRV is now Scott's and has 170,000 miles and aside from a few things here and there, it is still going strong. *knocks wood*

Ok, my lOvely O-Zies, time for me to get rolling. I am really so happy to catch up with everyone today. It really makes my day start so much nicer. Love you all!!!! ::grouphug

good morning - yesterday flew by. I got to the dog store for treats, home cleaned and that made me happy because I love listening to music while I clean. Kenny Chesney has a new CD out and it is upbeat so since i have to clean at least I can sing while I do it. Had a friend over and that made me happy too! My Devils are on a long road trip and last night played the Dallas Stars. It was a tough game but my team pulled it out in OT with a 2-1. Now they are on to the three California teams. A great start. Today though I have to get to the grocery store. The trainer Lorrie is coming over to see how things are going with Luther. And I can say that he is doing amazing! And that my DH is not LOL.

Chris so glad you are feeling better. Your grocery shopping parking lot sounds like a nightmare. How crummy to have to drive farther just to get good food. How nice of your DH to pitch in in the kitchen.

Trudy growing up in the desert I did not know about hiking in inclement weather. In AZ it is always sunny the problem is it gets too hot LOL! I have figured out I just have to do it with Luther he would not understand. Luckily my DH is most apt to go in bad rain. I love the walking in the snow. Hope your weather is great today for your hike.

Rae that is such a crack up of Taz running with his bag. And yes they are just like kids. Luther you can tell he is not happy with me when I make him walk my way not his way. At least now he just gives me the look but does not sit down LOL. So glad you are feeling better!

Jana nice to see you here. Vegan is quite a commitment. Enjoying the videos. Congrats on being almost done with school. Moving to Seattle will be a change from NJ.

Cindy so sorry about the car problems. Seems that the more electronics on a car the more expensive the repairs and no longer can you do them yourselves.

Have a great day all!

Morning all... Well it was pouring very early this morning, but the sky has cleared up and it might not be a half bad day after all. Not sure if I will still go for the hike, I have so much to catch up on and I need to get my Christmas shopping done too! I am determined to have everything bought, paid for and mailed away before we leave for Mexico! Got one more calendar page done yesterday and today I really need to get some CT things finished off also. So I think the my day will be spent right here in front of the computer. I will be kicking myself I know for not going on the hike, but its very wet and slippery out there and I feel like I need to get these other things accomplished. Ok enough trying to justify not getting my exercise. LOL.

Chris - So happy for you that your Gary stepped up and did the dishes for you!! Heather and Mason are doing well! Funny that you should ask about his Christmas list as that is exactly what he was showing to me yesterday! So sweet, his list is very long and would like every single toy that is out there :becky: Grandma was trying very hard to find a Hatchimal for him but of course they are the hot toy this year and are now where to be found. I could probably get one on Amazon, but I will never pay one more dollar than what they are supposed be worth! They are trying to sell them for 20 times that much! I can't believe that some people would actually pay that for a silly toy. They think that their child will scarred for life if they don't get that perfect gift for Christmas. Guess what?? They will get over it!! LOL
Sorry that your grocery store has totally screwed up the only place for you to get groceries, but if the produce is not up to snuff then I would be going further away to get food also!

Nancy - How fun to do your housework and listen to such great tunes!! It makes the housework go by a bit faster and with more joy that's for sure! Hope your Trainer is pleased with the way things are going for Luther!! Now you just have to figure out how to train your MG!! I love walking in the snow too!! We have not had any real amount of snow fall around here for quite a few years, so I do miss that lovely quietness of walking outside in the snow! I hope that your Devils continue to do well on their road trip!!

Rae - Your Taz is quite the character! He must keep you smiling all day long! Hope that the workload is not too great today and that you manage to get out in what looks to be a pretty nice day!

Jana - How nice of you to join us here in the DailyO's ! I have a cousin who is Vegan and have a hard time wrapping my head around just what the heck you are allowed to eat? LOL I am sure you are far more healthy than the rest of us! Sorry but I could never give up my cheese!!

Cindy - Oh no not more car troubles!! I think its time to trade that lemon of a car in for something that won't give you so many headaches!! Sending you gentle hugs and hope that today is a better day for you!!

I need more coffee and then I have to get busy and get my photoshop up and running! Wish me luck on getting some things accomplished today! I can use all the help I can get LOL!!

Good morning, ladies. Slowly crawling out from the mountain of backlog work I have. One client is up to date and now I just need to get the other done. It will probably take until the end of the wkend to get that caught up too. My last photog client has seen half her pics and is happy so doesn't mind waiting a few more days for the rest. Between being so sick these last weeks and overbooked with work, she knows its been a struggle for me to get it all done. Now that I am feeling so much better (only a bit of chest congestion and cough) I am zipping thru the workload a lot faster. Brain fog, achy bones and tiredness are not conducive to good working conditions, that's for sure. Will be out with Ava in a bit, am loving my new gum boots to wear to the dog park, these are the best $11 boots I ever got! Keep my feet dry, come up almost to my knees so my pants stay (mostly) clean from dog muddy splatters as the dogs run by me or jump up. Weather is iffy today so hope I time it right for some clear skies. Either way, the dogs don't care :)

Chris - that sucks about food shopping conditions. I had to laugh about "button day" b/c yes...I know you hate buttons, probably as much as I love them :) You must cringe when you see them on my pages so often.

Trudy - ha ha....gotta love kids Xmas lists LOL. I'll be out shopping for the kids next wkend. Hope I find some good deals in Bellingham. No idea what Ella wants. She is the youngest GD but she's usually pretty happy with anything dog, pony or dress-up related. Enjoy the hike today, if you go. It's not looking too bad out there right now. Last night we have a huge hail storm and the noise was deafening, for about 20 minutes. Glad that is over.

Nancy - music while you clean...I never listen to music when cleaning. My method is just nose to the grindstone, get it done and move on to something else. Cleaning is not my thing. I like organization and cleanliness but hate taking the time to do it. My mom and youngest daughters got the "clean gene" but not me LOL.

I'd better get going. I have some work to do before taking the dogs out. Have a wonderful day everyone.

TAx4ever Vegans eat a lot of things just nothing that not animals and animal by products . There is a lot out there to eat.
I used to think that about cheese to but like everything that is addicting once you stop you kind of forget about it and today I can't stand the smell
