Well. It was a day yesterday.
Dagnabbit, I've lost my mind.
One second it was there, the next ~>>>:eek3:
So maybe it wasn't all there but it was sort of hanging around. Just in the few hours at work, I messed up the order of my lesson. I put down my walkie and then couldn't find it. At the end of the day, I realized I didn't have my phone in my pocket. I used the Find My Phone app on my watch which showed that my phone was ringing. I can't hear it anywhere. My coworker called it, still nothing. Then the office phone rang- it was Gary telling me that my phone was ringing at home in case I was looking for it. That the director didn't fire me on the spot for sheer stupidity is a question I'll ask myself for a long time. SMH!

My brain is overloaded, I know that. How to get it under control? That part I don't have a clue about. Nope.

Maybe Gary was right and only having HS one day a week will be a good thing. The director and I spoke about the January-Feb-March sessions which will be one day a week too. April will go back to the 2 days a week. Hopefully, they will be able to add me to the schedule for Scout badges. I'm stressed top the hilt about money/finances and lack thereof. *fingers crossed for more hours*

One good thing to share about HS-- When the one mom dropped her 3 kids off, I mentioned that we were going to check on our isopods. The mom said they had told her all about them and were extremely excited to see them. (huge sigh of relief by me when we uncovered them and they were still alive LOL) They got to put them under a rotting branch in the garden and they were stoked. The kids, not the isopods. I don't think isopods have the emotional ability to be stoked. Hahah!
We buried different items and recorded our predictions of what might happen to them- I let them choose from a tray of stuff I had collected-- paper, plastic, sweet potato, rotting pumpkin, popsicle stick, a shell, etc. Next week, we will uncover them and see if our predictions are correct.

I have to clean for my friend this afternoon and somehow get my life together in the morning. My to-do list is already way too long and my motivation to attempt any of it is way too low.

Wishing you the best day ever!♥

Sending thoughts and best wishes to our NJ - especially up there. :heartpumpred:
Thank you so much again! Stats are now 5000 acres and 30% contained and yes, the wind is still a problem but should be less today. The helicopters are running non-stop so it has to be helping. :praying2:
Is the fire by you back down again?

Thought I'd jump in here - I know - it's very early for me. I
My jaw dropped when I saw your post yesterday! :p Always happy to send you hugs xo

@BrightEyes Fab news about the BP being stable on Monday. How was the trip to the base? it didn't cause any fluctuations? I'm almost ready to put the whip away, please don't make me unpack it! LOL!

@taxed4ever You must have been over the move to have DS home! Even for a little while.
I saw the photos of your Gary and Jackie too. It would have been awesome if they were marching in the same parade. Think that would ever happen?
Hope the weather turns out good for you to hike.
This cracked me up as I imagined an Irish hat and brogue. No idea why I thought that but I did and I giggled.
Top o' the morn!

Leprechaun~> :elf4:
I suppose it's better to have an Irish brogue than the stereotypical "Joisey" accent. Ask @MariJ no one says Joisey! :rotfl:
What? No, bring cool whip! And I'm not gonna listen. I'm gonna power through and be ornery and all that. Now get up here and give me what for! :giggle4:
I'll have to bring the cool whip as soon as I find the "mousse."
Get it?? My Uber-Moose? Chocolate Mousse?
[see my previous post. I have lost my danged mind]

Yikes about your windshield!
Hope you and BFF had more laughter than tears :hug3:

@bcgal00 OH WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a photo!!!!!
It's breathtaking!!!! Thank you for sharing it! Did you get to see any cool wildlife there too?

J need to go out, BRB!

Quick in and out for me - I am back from my nephew's Air Force Basic Training in Texas and I finally have some new pictures to scrap with! There is so much to catch up on as I was gone for a week. I feel overwhelmed... but I have to remember "JUST ONE BITE AT A TIME!"

I missed you all! It's been a super crazy and busy week!
Yes!! That is the advice I needed to hear today! Hope that you are much more successful than I assume I will be :giggle4:
Welcome back!

@vickyday I knew you were going to be amazing leading the devotional! Is this something that you will do again?

You have a LOT going on ... add to that the coming holidays ... it is easy to see how you are stressed. Maybe you need to take a break ... or two ... in your day, if only for 15 minutes, and do something you REALLY enjoy doing to give yourself a reset!
Love that your HSchoolers are enjoying while learning! You have some great ideas! I love how you engage them in the thinking process!

Good Morning,
In bed early...up early! I was awake before Mark's alarm went off! But I got 7 hours of good sleep, so I was more than ready to get up at 6:30!
Today will be spent with Ilene. I will leave the house around 10:15, pick her up and go to brunch, then back to her house to play Qwirkle.
It is low 40's here this morning but the sun is shining brightly and promises to be another beautiful day!
I want to work on yesterday's ATC and today's before I go, so I'll say goodbye for now!
Have a lovely day!

@faerywings No wildlife on this trip. It’s such a vast area with hundreds of miles of land for the wildlife so you never know when you’ll see them. Sounds like the fire is somewhat contained? Hopefully. I know how scary that is.

@AK_Tracy thx for sharing the pic. Glad there is a device that helps you.

I’m off to morning coffee with the ladies and then I go to mahjong for the afternoon.

have a good day everyone.

Morning all. Yesterday's trip to the base went fine. Took the right route to avoid all the construction! :) Got my meds then headed over to the base gas station and filled up... it was 50 cents per gallon cheaper than anywhere else in town. :lol23: Then over to the commissary and not very many customers there so I was in and out quickly! Several empty spots with notes that their suppliers were unable to get whatever.... shades of beginning of Covid - but not as bad as then!!! Have to admit that I was tired by the time I got home and put everything away. Read for awhile and had an early supper. Today is another running errands day and getting missing grocery items. Need to get them done in the morning as a cold front is coming in this afternoon.... no snow but lots of wind. :windy1:

@faerywings So sorry you had such bad day yesterday!!! :hug2:

@AK_Tracy love seeing your dog in her cute outfit.. That is quite a rig that you have to wear... It is good that it can be used at home rather than having to go somewhere else. I had never heard of your disease and how it is treated. Thanks for explaining it. :hug1:

@bcgal00 What a fabulous photo!!! Glad to see you popping in again. I used to play mahjong... it was so much fun! Oh, yes... I did a lot of jewelry making. Still have a lot of beads and tools. Here are a few of the ones I made.

Good single digit temps morning to you all! Grab hot coffee and a blanket!
I went quote crazy again today. Dont look Chris, it says its 8* today!!! Our high will be maybe 25. Tomorrow the flakes should fly they say. That will be nice. Need to cover some of the ice.

Dagnabbit, I've lost my mind.

:floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: :floorlaugh: Okay read this as funny please!!!! Slight sarcasm and 1000% funny............
Cant loose what ya didn't have

Dont worry, your mind is right next to mine. They're having a good time together. Dont worry they'll return in the distant future.:giggle4:
My to-do list is already way too long and my motivation to attempt any of it is way too low.
Stop. Breath. Inhale, hold for count of 15 and release. You are amazing and you got this. Now look at the list and remove what can be done tomorrow. Inhale. Hold. Exhale. What must be done today? Slowly work through it giving mental and physical breaks. :heartpumppink:

Sounds like a beautiful busy day! I love when the sun shines bright and beautiful. I'm still waiting for the sun to rise. It wont show up until 9 a.m. but its suppose to shine bright and I love how it reflects in the winter. Have fun with Ilene.
I’m off to morning coffee with the ladies and then I go to mahjong for the afternoon.
Hi!!! Have fun playing mahjong. So fun to see you popping in and saying hi. Give Remi some pets.

Yes, Lucys suits are cute. Its helping her not scratch herself to bloody so we are finally making progress on her itchiness. I am so thankful I can use the "zoot suit" (my favorite martian) at home. It takes the place of PT, they both do the same thing but for insurance I had to actually see the PT person. The suit uses a bit more pressure which feels better so I am happy to use it, plus I get to stay home. Normally I use it while watching tv with hubs.
Today is another running errands day and getting missing grocery items. Need to get them done in the morning as a cold front is coming in this afternoon.... no snow but lots of wind
Dont over do it!!! Yep thats me, the pot, talking to the kettle :giggle4:

Sounds like today is the day we are all running errands and super busy. Temps dropping as I type, down to 7*. Its pitch black now when I get up. Suns up from 9a-4:30p and we're loosing a good chunk a day. Its officially winter. Lake is making ice and oh man the loud pops and groans seem extra loud but soon it will be thick enough to play on.

Off to grab more coffee.
Have a wonderful day!

Good afternoon all,

I'm back to my usual time. Chris, @faerywings knew your jaw would drop when I popped in here at that early hour. Alyssa picked Daisy up at 8 and I laid back down on the couch and slept for a few yours. I know that doesn't surprise you at all. It threw my whole day off. I sat down on the couch with the animals a little while ago and went sound asleep. I guess getting my up 7:15 isn't my cup of tea. Still messed up today. :lol23::lol23:

You're not going to believe this, Chris (well, you probably will). I couldn't find my watch yesterday ANYWHERE and tried the Find My app from my phone. No luck because my watch was dead. So apparently, you're out of luck if your device is dead. I finally found it last night - under a pile of clean clothes that I had put on my bed ro fold. Yep, it was completely dead. Of course, the minute it got any charge, it started making that obnoxious sound.

Tracy @AK_Tracy 8 degrees??? I'm so glad it doesn't get that cold here. The worse it ever got was during that Polar Vortex that we got caught up in - that was pretty bad. Kay @BrightEyes that wind!! Your jewelry is beautiful!

Susie @pachimac good to see you pop in and glad you had such a wonderful trip.

Hugs to everybody and XOXO

Hi Chris, oh it's awful by you and you have much more forest to burn. Yes, we had barely any wind today, the Livingston fires are still burning but contained to the middle, so not a danger at the moment, the helicopters left but all are on alert. My friend said like all over, they won't stop burning until we get a good drenching rain.
Today when I took my little friend Julianne for a walk I could smell the smoke again and they said it was much worse in the morning.

Hoping that your containment numbers go up and up. The numbers of burning acres are astounding, I still can't believe it's NJ.

Good Morning ladies... Finally the fence repair is going to be starting today, and it couldn't have been better timing as the whole fence came crashing down in the middle of the night!! Thank goodness no one was in the backyard next door and it missed the swingset! I got a call yesterday from the fence people, so I hope he gets this going early today! We had a lovely visit with our son and took him over to see his grandparents and their new home, they were very happy to see him! He has conference meetings until Friday and then he will be back Friday afternoon to spend the weekend with us. I am going to bake a blackberry pie for him for supper one night (his absolute favourite!). Anyway I have to get showered and dressed before Greg the fence guy gets here, so I will catch up with everyone later on. :waving3:

Oh, my dear Chris! :hug4:
You seem to be living in a hamster wheel at the moment. You can't jump off, but you should! I would love to bring you, your DH and the dogs to live with us and really spoil you for a while. No worries, no everyday stress, no work, no struggle for survival - just relax and gather new strength and ideas. The head needs to be cleared. DH and you could sleep through the week - I'll look after the pets. Walks in the forest, some physio for the cramped muscles and a lot of wellness for the soul. We could listen to rock music and dance and just be happy. That would be nice, wouldn't it? I had already offered Cheryl to come to the Baltic Sea with me and live for a few weeks in the house that we rent every year. Unfortunately Cheryl doesn't like flying. Dreams are not forbidden, are they?

I have a lot to do today, so best wishes to @All and have a nice day!
