Good morning and a happy Tuesday to you all *tips imaginary hat*

It finally feels like a normal-ish November weather day. Cold and windy but still so darn dry. Usually, November is that damp and achy kind of weather. The wildfire is still getting larger but also somewhat more contained. It's worrying that the wind gusts will be strong all day, so it will be harder and more dangerous to fight. We heard the sirens and helicopters overhead nonstop again yesterday and it is unnerving.

I got a bunch of work done around the house in the morning and had time to scrap in the afternoon. That felt good --nice to be a creative.
Caitlyn was off work and was coming up with Christmas gift ideas. I am still in complete denial about that. It's scary how it is going to be here in the blink of an eye. I don't have any ideas for anyone. I saw a neat laser-cut record that was an outline of hikers on a mountain. I thought that was super cool and perfect for Scott but it was $55.Now I have a bug in my brain that I should try to make one. How would I do that?? Not a clue.

Work will be different today with the temps being much colder than we are used to. And one of the activities was using strips of paper to create food chains. I might need to come up with another idea for that- the paper will be flying away with each wind gust. Me and the kids might be too! :windy1:

Hope that everyone has a fab day! xo

Good morning, Chris. I've been thinking of you, it's really so scary up there in your area. Especially with the expected winds today, the gusts are supposed to be very strong.

Sending thoughts and best wishes to our NJ - especially up there. :heartpumpred:

Debby, your button LO warning was appreciated *and* made me laugh out loud -- a literal snort :lol23: TY!

@BrightEyes I hope I don't have to come out with my Momma Chris Whip! That's not a cool whip although I am cool and have an imaginary whip.
Me-- I prefer Cool Whip. Much more fun and yummy LOL!
(sorry for the weird tangent :giggle4: )
Good to hear that you took it easy and were keeping an eye on the BP. It's harder to stay hydrated when the weather gets cooler, at least for me. Hugs~~~~

@AK_Tracy As long as you are happy with 18* temps, I am happy for you. Just keep 'em away from me. :D
You are so right about how dogs can help shy people get out of their shells (like me). I'll talk to anyone about their dogs. Have you seen the memes of shy people at a party talking to a dog? That would be me every time.
Speaking of whips-- don't make me come out to AK with it if you don't take breaks at work and delegate at home. Please pace yourself, take care of yourself and if you need to call in sick-- do it! :whip3:

@mimes1 There is a local nature photographer who posts in a "West Milford in Beautiful" FB group. Over the last few years, he has gotten some of the most breathtaking photos of bald eagles and their babies. We refilled the birdbath yesterday and left out some water in a shallow bowl. I'll check on them this morning and put out a few more in the backyard.
How is Mark's shoulder doing with the moving of furniture and boxes and all that? I hope he is taking it easy too (although my money is on :hahano:

@vickyday Good luck today! You are going to be wonderful and compassionate and inspiring. I just know it! ♥

@Cherylndesigns How could we not love and support you? Even the strongest people need to take breaks. It's recognizing that you need that and actually following through that makes a person strong. We will always be here for you xoxoxo

Did you see @taxed4ever photos of her Gary and her DIL on FB yesterday?
@JeanneMN thinking of you too

Good morning

Thought I'd jump in here - I know - it's very early for me. I'm waiting for Alyssa to pick up Daisy. She's taking all three Doodles to the groomer on her way to school. She goes to college in town, so it's right on her way to drop off the dogs. She should be here any minute.

Chris, @faerywings fires are so frightening - we used to have them in Florida - some of them were "controlled burns" but some of them weren't. We stood in our back yard one time and could hear the crackling they were so close. We never had to evacuate but lots of people did. In fact, the very day we finally moved there, we drove past fires for many miles. I wasn't expecting that, and it freaked me out.

I'll stop back in later when I'm awake. :giggle4: Just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the love and support.

Quick in and out this AM... waiting for the house to warm up so I can get my shower... Then it is off to the base to pick up my meds and do the commissary run. I was good yesterday - drank lots of water & checked the BP a few times. It stayed stable all day!! :)
Just have to remember to avoid the road construction areas on the way there. Have to dress in layers as it is only 33*F but should reach 60*F by this afternoon.

Will check back later on today.

Morning O ladies! I have been MIA for a few days now, but wanted to pop in to say :wavinghello: . My DH and I had a busy few days and yesterday was all about Remembering those who gave the ultimate sacrifice! I was one proud wife, Momma and Mom-In-Law as I watched the parades in Ottawa and here in our town. My DIL was the Commander in Charge of the Parade in Ottawa and she did a fantastic job! So exciting to watch her! We also saw our son in his uniform watching his wife with great pride! So cool to see them on the television! Then we were off to our local parade, where my DH participated in the march and ceremony. SIL Linda and I watched that together and both of us so very proud of our Gary!! Today is going to be anxious excitement as I wait for our Son to arrive this afternoon and we get to spend a bit of time together and enjoy supper. Then he is off to the base in Esquimalt about a 30 min drive from here. He will spend a few days there and then back here for the weekend. He is such a busy guy and travels so much for his work with the Military. Anyway I will probably spend some of my waiting time working on another calendar page, as none got done over the weekend. I hope to catch up with everyone on Wednesday as it looks very rainy and so probably no hike for me. I gotta run as Heather is calling and I need to catch up with her too! Have a great day everyone! :waving3:

Good Morning!!!!!!

:giggle4: :giggle4: This cracked me up as I imagined an Irish hat and brogue. No idea why I thought that but I did and I giggled.

What? No, bring cool whip! And I'm not gonna listen. I'm gonna power through and be ornery and all that. Now get up here and give me what for! :giggle4:

Oh I am so glad to see this and that things stayed good!!
My DIL was the Commander in Charge of the Parade in Ottawa
Trudy that is so cool! You must have been so proud.

Today is "normal" again. YEAH!!!! A whopping 14* and it should be sunny today. Our high wont be above freezing if its like yesterday. But the funnest part is that I get my new windshield today!!! WOO HOO!!!!! Two weeks ago a truck (big rig) drove by throwing a rock. I had cracks already but he threw a rock that left a coffee cup smash of circles.
1731428857482.jpeg
So today its finally time! New glass arrived and its finally time!!! These cold temps are making the cracks grow and spread. Then I get to meet my BF for coffee and laugh and cry and laugh. Will be an amazing day. Might need to take the laundry of the line and let it finish drying inside thought. I forgot it yesterday so its been outside all night. :floorlaugh: It can stand on its own and its not cause it is so dirty! Well the coffee is calling and I must answer!

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning ladies.

@taxed4ever I saw the pic of Gary. He looks good in red :) Enjoy the family time.

@faerywings Hope they get the wildfire under control soon. I don't doubt that you will come up with awesome gift ideas, you always do.

@BrightEyes I never knew that you designed jewelry. I'm excited to get started but I'll go simple for awhile until I get used to the basics. We have a Michaels close by so I feel like I will be taking advantage of the discount coupons often as I build my stash up.

Today we head out for euchre at the club.

We started watching High Potential and like it.

@faerywings Here's a pic of Jen from our drive up the icefields (it's her fave kind of photo, you know its here but you can't see her face LOL. She hates photos).

Just a girl tryin to do therapy. Lucy feels the need to help by holding me down. This is a pump machine that inflates in a certain way to move the lymphatic system. Takes an hour. I also have a set for legs but you cant do full body at once and you only do legs or arms per day. Dont want to overload the body as this helps lymph to detox.

Quick in and out for me - I am back from my nephew's Air Force Basic Training in Texas and I finally have some new pictures to scrap with! There is so much to catch up on as I was gone for a week. I feel overwhelmed... but I have to remember "JUST ONE BITE AT A TIME!"

I missed you all! It's been a super crazy and busy week!

Good Evening,
Got back around 3 this afternoon from the widows' meeting. Then my daughter called and we talked for about an hour. Then Mark came in from the woods, got his shower, fixed his salad (I had baked some chicken for the salad after I got home) and he ate while we did our devotions (we listen to the Bible verses and then watch a video covering those verses).
I'm not hungry after the lunch the pastor's wife fixed for us at the meeting....turkey tenderloin, peas, rice, Brussels sprout salad with feta cheese, pumpkin dessert. Way more than I am used to eating for lunch! But delicious! If I eat anything before bed it may be a few crackers.
Just going to relax in front of the TV until time to take my Tylenol pms, drink my sleepytime tea, play rummikub with my sister until 10 before bed.
See you tomorrow!

Lucy looks adorable sitting on your tummy. I imagine the rhythm of the machine is soothing for her as she sits there!
