A very grateful Veteran's Day to all of our vets today!
If you saw my thread that I posted yesterday asking for animal pictures, you already know that I had a stressful day. Nothing super out of the ordinary happened, just tiny things one after another. Ray had two more accidents which make me concerned that there is something going on somewhere in her digestive system. I have an appt for her next Wednesday.
Caitlyn had her appt with the allergist and hoo boy, this is gonna be fun! She is highly allergic to dusty mites. *Highly* Like off the charts. I was able to do some research and I ordered mattress/box spring/pillow encasements from Amazon. I got three different brands so if she doesn't like the way one feels, we can try another. She is going to have to put away many of her stuffed animals which are like her best friends LOL And the kicker (poor girl is already apologizing to us for this), we have to rip up her bedroom carpet and put down some sort of flooring since there is only plywood under the carpet.
The cheery on top of the dust mite info is that they do *not* cause the hives and the Dr still has no answer on that. She thinks it could be likely that the severity of the dust mite allergy is making her immune system fight on that side and is leaving her drained of resources to combat whatever is causing the hives. They are in the process of seeing if allergy shots will be covered by her health insurance plan. She will need them every 3-4 weeks so it isn't something that can be paid out of pocket if it isn't covered.
The sun was out and while it was windy I ended up spending some time raking the leaves off of the driveway. Today is rainy so maybe I can finish the LO I started yesterday and had to stop so I could research dust mites. Why do they have to include photos of the buggers on every website??? Blech!!
I have to go make sure Cait is awake and then I have to get ready to go get my groceries in a bit. If I run out of time to do personals, I should be able to when I get back home.
Love and hugs!!
