It's my dad's birthday! Too bad that I am aggravated with him at the moment. Damn man has no sense.
(Nope, my autocorrect didn't change the phrase to "men" although it could have and still be accurate. Probably should have LOL!)
Guess what this 83 yo man was doing over the weekend?
Raking leaves. Again.
*head desk*
83 yo man who had a shoulder replaced in the Spring, severe bursitis in his non-replaced hip, and a hernia. Raking leaves. My gawd.
Scott called yesterday to see if I had asked my dad about letting us borrow the leaf blower and I had forgotten. I suggested he bring it here anyway so he wouldn't have it. Gary was clear-minded enough to realize that if my dad didn't have the leaf blower and wanted to work on the leaves he would continue to use the rake. Seriously. Men. *eye roll*
I did a lot of raking in the afternoon myself and it was a gorgeous day to be out there. The sun was quite warm, I worked up a sweat! I got the majority of leaves off of the front and still have a lot of work to do in the back. I am so lucky that all I have to do is rake the leaves into the woods. I pulled out all of the marigolds and saved a bunch of seeds for my dad. I Willplnat them for him in the spring if I am talking to him by then. Of course, I will be. I am aggravated, sure, but I can't stay mad at my parents for very long. I used up that ability in my teen years.
I have to put the curtains back up this morning, I washed them all the day I plastic-ed the windows, I never get them back up "right." The ones in my bedroom are the kind that loop over a bar and drape down. YKWIM? Any tips or tricks on how to get that looking even and not sliding all over?
Cleaning this afternoon for my friend. He is still recovering from foot surgery so he'll be home and I will have to clean around him. I always feel bad that I am in his way. He always feels bad that he is in my way, ha.
Other than that, not much else. xoxoxo
