I think all of my happiness of the last few days wore me out.;) I am not miserable, just overwhelmed. I am trying harder to ask for help but I am not getting anywhere. I guess I need to lower my expectations. /snark

I was in a tizzy yesterday because I hate going food shopping (*insert shocked face* ) I hate being on a budget and I hate trying to work around everyone's schedules and food preferences. I end up shrugging and saying "whatever" but then I wake up in a panic and start my day wondering what I am going to cook for dinner.
I survived the store yesterday and it is starting to look better and better. Not having cramped aisles will be a blessing, especially when I am those moods where I get :yell: when people park their carts in the middle of the aisle.
But you all know how I am not good with change? The entrance is on the opposite side of the store so I had to shop in reverse! :gaah:

My other tizzy fit was over Mother's Day. we were supposed to be celebrating Mother's Day as part of the June Bash. Then my mom asked if she could bring bagels, and then I invited Arlene so she wouldn't be alone. Gary seemed a bit insulted that I didn't ask his parents so he invited them. Now I need to make gifts and cards for 3 of the moms and I don't really know what I am going to do. I stopped at the Thrift Shop and found three glass vases and I am going to paint and decorate them but I need to get the supplies to do that.

Which brings me to a third semi-tizzy fit. Cait needs two front tires and possibly an alignment. I am driving her to school today since Gary thinks they are that bad. She can't take my car since the school has that *ridiculous* policy where she can't park in the lot without the sticker. It is the last day that she needs to be there, thank goodness. So I will drive her in, head over to the Dollar Store from there and pick her up when her final is over.

It is all good. Right????

So, yeah. Not quite sure where my day went since I don't think I was in one place for too long. I am trying to stay away from the news since it is all bad.

Scott starts the volunteer spot today and he had an interview at a garden center near his school yesterday. Cait is babysitting every day this week so at least she will be able to cover the cost of her tires.

But it is spring and sunny and maybe I will say screw it and spent the afternoon outside. I better post this so I will be ready when Cait has to leave for school.

xoxoxo!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nancy- bet you feel great after getting your hair done and Luther is happy that he got new treats. WTG for a good hockey night!

Trudy- I hate when days do that to me too- I cannot believe that you are dealing with Telus again, seems like that never ends! Congrats on the lottery win!! Sorry that you couldn't put it towards anything fun but at least you have less to pay off from what you owed on taxes.
Will your son be close enough to visit when you are visiting Heather?

Jean- Election day is the same here, we voted already in our Primary but I think that isn't counted for another few weeks.
Your cousin's passing must have been very unexpected. I hope this settles quickly. Must be so hard to have it weighing on you contatntly, even if only in the back of your mind.

Felis- I get like that too. Wll, that "life is perfect" feeling hasn't been her in a long time :p but I used the get the feeling that a shoe is going to drop at any minute when things were good.
Love the picture I have in my mind of Biggie in the grass!
I read the first book, so I saw the photos and now I have a good idea of what the kids look like. I am not sure if they are as important in this book.
Even when I am loaded up in sweaters and blankets, once my feet get cold I am miserable. I have a circulation disorder that affects my feet and hands. Much happy to be hot. :flame:

Enjoy your day!!!

good morning - the sun is shining again and it should be in the 70s so I am happy! The birds are singing so that too is great. Going out to Panera's with my girlfriend and looking forward to that. It is good to have the day off from cooking though last night's dinner was awesome! It was pork chorizo with cabbage and radishes. The filling was also with orange and some lemon juice. Then for sides was roasted potatoes with grated cheese and garlic. It was so so good no leftovers again. It was hard no hockey last night but as Jean suggested there is baseball. I did not mention it before as the Yankees were sweeping her Indians. Now the Yankees are playing the Boston Red Sox and last night they won again. I think they are now 16-1 with 7 straight wins. I know they will not keep this up for the whole season so I just enjoy it now. It is fun as the Yankees have a very young team so they may be good for awhile. Other than walking Luther I have nothing planned.

Chris your day was crazy. It would cause me to be in a tizzy too! Poor Cait the joys of a car are often outweighed by the car's money eating ways. My DH is done with classes and next week the finals start. But he is always busy at this time of year with making sure all those who want to graduate actually have the credits needed or he has to tell them no they cannot graduate. Those he tells no too really already knew but they come with these stories. This is a minority of students but he says it is so time consuming. Hope you get outside and enjoy this weather.

Trudy I am glad that the Telus people were able to help you out. If you get the correct person they can actually help you. How fun to have such a great talk with Heather. Congrats on the lottery win. That is awesome. I don't know people who actually win and now I do.

Jean we had no election in my town or state but glad that you voted. And yes I was watching the Yankees but did not want to bum you out. I know what it is like to cheer for a team that loses.

Felis I hope you keep up the positive mood.

Rae sending hugs.

Have a great day all!

Morning everyone... We got a bit of rain through the night and today the air is clean and smells so good! Our hike today is to the Kinsol Trestle, always a nice hike, but more of a really good walk than a hike LOL. Oh well it is a nice day to be out in the fresh air! We think that we might all go for lunch to one of the wineries near the hiking spot afterwards, so that should be fun too! I had a busy day yesterday with a couple of people stopping by the house, one to drop off payment for an order and the other was the grands other grandma stopping to pick up a dress that I am lending to my DIL for a graduation that she is attending in Boston. She has a good friend graduating from Harvard, so that is going to be a nice little get away for her! I did manage to get a page almost completed for Ona's letter art challenge and hope to complete that this morning and get it posted.

Chris - Yikes girl, take a deep breath and try to stay calm!!

You had a busy day yesterday, but today is another day and you will get everything done in good time! It really does suck that you have to be on such a tight budget and try to make everything work for everyone else. You really don't have to make EVERYONE HAPPY you know. It is good that Cait will be able to pay for her new tires and I am sure that if you ask for some help with the Mother's Day/June Bash then I bet you will get it! But you have to ask, right? Yes my problems with Telus are kind of like your problems with the Insurance, it seems to never end! But we refuse to switch back to the old provider Shaw everytime we got a bill from them they increased the price on something or other and there are not too many other options out there for us. Keeping my fingers crossed that Scott's interview went well and I am hoping that Jason and his family will be able to visit when I go to Heather's. It is complicated because now they will be living in Toronto for 10 months as Jackie will be attending school there and they have found a position for Jason there too. Toronto is only a couple of hours drive from Heathers. However after that they will move to Ottawa and that will be a 6 hour drive from Heathers so I might have to either fly or take a train to visit them. Guess we will cross that bridge when we get to it.

Nancy - Sounds like a wonderful day for you today! Nice weather and dinner out with your girlfriend. No cooking for you tonight that is awesome! You are sweet to not mention the baseball to Jean because you didn't want to upset her! Thanks for the congrats on the lottery win! My DH is always buying tickets and usually wins very small amounts or free tickets, so this was a really nice surprise. He says now that he will be expecting to win bigger all the time though, so maybe that is not a good thing LOL. The odds of that happening are not too good. Hope you and Luther enjoy a nice relaxing day today!

Jean - Isn't it nice when the blossoms are all out and there is so much more colour in the world! I just love the smell of the air too, so many blossoms out right now it makes the air smell so sweet! It makes having to deal with all the pollen a bit easier LOL.

Felis - How nice that you had an enlightening moment with your sweet biggie out in the grass and just enjoying the day! I hope that you will not let these feelings of dread take over, stay positive that the world is a pretty great place and it is good to be alive and be a part of it!

Rae - Of course I am sending you good vibes that all will improve for your "B"!

Ok I better try to get my page finished and posted and then get my backpack filled with water and a few snacks. Have a wonderful day everyone! Do something for yourselves today that makes you smile!

We did a little birding yesterday afternoon and it was really nice. Then another phone chat with BIL mostly about what's happening or will happen in Texas. In a bit we're off to the senior center for the monthly genealogy group. That is always a good time.

Chris, wow, guess you really need to take a deep breath and step back. And ask for help in ways you'll accept it. Bummer Mother's Day turned into a thing. Hope you do something nice waiting for Cait today.

Nancy, nice of you not to mention the da*n Yankees while the Indians were there. Oh well, the Cavs did their thing during that time. Today sounds lovely for you.

Trudy, hiking and wine after sounds splendid too. Hope you enjoy.

Felis, Rae, thinking of you.

Hello girls,
did you follow your New Year's resolutions?! I know usually this is conversation for the next month, but my mom told us it's time to change our life. My aunt was on a interview for new job yesterday (I was mentioned you that she hate her job), and she convince my mom and her best friend to try too. They think it will be fun to work all together, but I'm seriously doubt in this, just hope they wouldn't finished disappointed and contend!
I'm afraid that I don't follow my only one decision: 'do more'. Time is fly so fast and I really don't see other than work and cleaning. I often think for the good advice that Trudy gives me at the beginning of February and I know I'll have to make some serious changes in this direction, but I'm not ready yet. I'm so stick to the comfort of routine that I'm scared to do even one simple step out of it. And then almost half year is gone :jaw: . Besides these thoughts, nothing special here nice ordinary day.

Chris, I'm hear you and think Trudy before few days too, to said that you decided what to cook day by day, but I can't figure out how this happen. How you follow to eat varied?! I mean in my family we make a list what want to eat during the next week, discuss this before the grocery day and then go to shop. We have stress only at the day for planing :) . Your spontaneous lifestyle sounds interesting to me, I can not fully understand how make it functional?! The glass vases sounds great idea to me! Hope to have enough time to make them! Spring was very short here and we are on summer now, so I think it's time to follow your plan for making pedicure and to start wearing short shorts. Enjoy the weather!

Nancy, have fun with your friends! These meetings always sounds fun. Did you change the Luther's walking time already? Because of the hot weather Tiny start to go out earlier and soon I'll have to start do this instead of mom. I'm lost training, I prefer our afternoon walks.

Trudy, I love your final advice today, so sweet! I plan to follow it and to take small Me time. Have fun on today's hike, these lunch plans sounds good to me. Oh I really have to go to the gallery and left some comments, and to check your lovely hike pages.

Jean, hope the genealogy group to distract you from the clouds in your life! I saw your weekly page, you are so strong to can scrap this so soon and actually it's gives me some ideas, but I'll work on mine at the weekend.

Rae, you are in my thoughts!

Have a lovely day you all!
