Cinqo de Mayo! (did I spell that right?) The other day Scott asked why we celebrate Cinqo de Mayo. He basically answered himself when he said that the US just likes to have an excuse to party/get drunk. Smart kid, eh?

But since my kids love tacos- one of the few dinners that they both eat w/o complaining- we are having tacos, guacamole and yellow rice. Mmm!

We are going to have great weather here today- planning on working/scrapping this morning and I want to play in the dirt this afternoon.

Nana Linda- hope the plumbing went ok for Sharon. Oh- I thought of you and your family yesterday. Gary and I had decided not to worry my mom about the whole ER trip. But by yesterday, the past week had really kicked my butt, physically and emotionally. I needed my Mommy! I called her and told her what was going on and said I needed her, could she please come up on Friday and take care of me.

Guess what she said??


No.


Buhahahah- of course she didn't! She offered to come up today, she asked what food she could make.... she sounds a lot like you!

Andrea- ROTF- may the 4th be w/ you- my kind of corny humor!
Fast service for the freezer? We were told between 8am and 5 pm. Guess when he showed up? 5:10 pm LOL We need a whole new freezer door. Thank goodness for warranties!

Decaf? Oh that is seriously one of the suckier parts of pregnancy. How have you been feeling?

Clara- that is a hard part of being at home. I swear by my to do list. I write down 5-6 thing that have to get done, then a keep a running list of smaller things to do. Granted, I do ignore it on occasion, but at least it gives me a feeling of guilt if I ignore too much.
Hope things work out w. D. Men can be so stubborn and in denial.
Can't wait for you to make that road trip!

Good Morning!!!!!!!!

Wednesday!!! It's like REFRESH day!!! It's our trash day.....so I consider it OUT WITH OLD!!!!

Little Jaid-A-Bug is coming to see for a little bit today!! YAY!!! Traci is going with Jesse on a field trip. I will be overloaded with "Nana, Nana, Nana"!! Which BTW, I believe that miss Savannah is saying Nana!! When her Mommy is here and she gets upset she looks at Sharon and says "MA MA MA", well when she gets upset and looks at me now she says "NA NA NA".

Well, Sharon has water!! The pump down in the well was burnt up. It appeared that a wire came loose so when it hit the water, it fried everything. Times like that I am happy we have county water. Although a few years back, our pipe from the road to the house burst, and we had to replace it, had to dig up a portion of the front yard....and we had to pay for it.

Chris....I hear ya on "needing your Mommy"!!! and I KNEW SHE WOULD NOT SAY NO!!!!! Sometimes only Mom can make it all better, no matter how old we are!! Glad there is an easy fix for your freezer. If you can at all, get an extended warranty on it. I keep one on my fridge...it has ALWAYS paid for itself. Call Sears...they warrant them even if you did not buy it from them!!! My Mom ended up getting a brand new fridge once because they could not fix a broken plastic piece in her door!!

Andrea...YAY for the money situation being taken care of!!! I know that is a load off!! and good luck with NOT spending!! I am not terrible, but it is hard to NOT spend money!! Have fun with that sleepover!!! I figure it won't be long Cameran is going to start asking if he can bring friends to stay with him here!! HAHAHA!!! I might have to say that is a Mom and Dad thing!!

Clara....Happy BDAY to your Mama!!! Okay...so does Nana need to come talk with Derek?? Tell him I am going to get him if he doesn't straighten up!! Yay for you, not giving in to Addie!!! Sharon's DH is the best about this....he will tell Cameran ONE time....that's it....he doesn't believe in the BATTLE!!! He never ever raises his voice, or gets ugly with him either. He just calmly tells him, and if he doesn't listen the first time, then he gets in real trouble!! I got like that when Traci was 16, finally!! HAHAHA!! Okay...so I love your plan for this trip...and you know I so on board!!!!! so we are coming Chris!!!

Good morning ladies.

I am up too early. Derek made me think this morning and so now I am awake. We paid for daycare this week but Derek had to study for his promotion board tomorrow (kinda like an interview) and wanted to just go in and not get Addie ready. So I'll take her in later. I need to go get my mom's birthday present anyway, so I'll just take her in then. I hate being up this early...it doesn't work so well for me. Blah!!

So, I do need to work on some to-do lists. I have a ton of stuff to do I just I need to get moving on it. One of the hardest parts is that it is so overwhelming and we have sooooooo much stuff and it seems like we never really get rid of any of it, ya know? I wish we could just take a handful of things with us and get rid of everything else. That's what I'd really like to do and what I am actually going to try and do.

oh...so those headaches I've been having...well they have mostly gone away, but I have to take pills twice a day to keep them away, which is so hard for me. Taking pills once a day is hard enough so twice a day is nearly impossible, but I try. But I got a referral to a neurologist finally, so maybe they will have a better answer or a better medication. I just need to get an appointment. My insurance can be great for me but a royal pain for doctors so it takes awhile to get referrals taken care of and scheduled but it did...so now I am just waiting to hear from them to get scheduled. I'm just trying to get everything taken care of before we leave. I have me and the kids scheduled for physicals and all that before we leave too. Just trying to get it all done.

Oh...so...I'm telling you this because I'm really excited it worked out. My future SIL came to me a while ago and asked me to help her out with her wedding gift for my brother...now keep in mind, he's not actually my brother so it isn't actually icky creepy, as I explain this, okay? Anyway, for her gift to him she had their wedding photographer do a bourdoir shoot of her so that she could make him a book of photos of her. Now when she told me about it and asked for help, I was a bit skeptical about helping not really wanting to see a bunch of naked sots of my future SIL, but then when she gave them to me they ended up being actually really nice and she was covered in all of them and it was really nice, so I got them all laid out for her and she loved it. I wasn't sure if she would like the style of it or not...but she said it was exactly how she pictured it. So, I was just really glad that it came together how she pictured it. I love it when things come together like that, ya know? Makes me a happy camper. Now I have to help him make her gift from him...he's making her 12 coupons, one for each month of an event of something to do together for their first year of marriage. They are the most disgusting couple ever and I love it. I get to go pick up Addie's dress tomorrow. It is so cute. Let's just say...you think you saw a lot of cruise pics?? You'll be seeing a lot of Addie and Ethan wedding pics. LOL!!

Hey everybody! Not much time right now, but I wanted to stop by and ask: has anybody ever had a bitter taste in the mouth while pregnant? Actually, it's not a bitter taste so much as most things I've eaten today have tasted bitter. It doesn't make me sick, but it does make me sad.. Sat down to eat some big, delicious blackberries, and they were bitter. My coffee- bitter, and not in the usual way. Milk seems okay.. but this is weird.

Andrea... that's so sad that everything tastes bitter! Weird things happen when you are pregnant, I once broke out in a terrible itchy, rash and the dermatologist could not figure out what it was from. She finally was convinced that my body was rejecting my pregnancy in some way. She gave me cream and something to put in my bath water and within three days it cleared up. I was 7 months pregnant at the time and it was the strangest thing. Hopefully this bitterness goes away quickly!! ((Hugs )) to you and your bump

Good morning everyone..well my day is going to be spent walking the streets.........LOLOL not what it sounds like, my grandson has 2 bearded dragons and the female, Clara, climbed out of their pen and went on an adventure! That was on Monday, she's been gone 2 nights...she has been spotted so I have a clue where she might be, however we live in a very woods area..lots of places a little Beardie could hide..so I'm walking the streets listening for any rustling leaves...I made flyers, gave them to everyone walking their dogs or out jogging...I have a grandson that goes to school each morning with tears and a mournful little plea Gramma, please find Clara, she must be missing me so much....OMG could my heart break anymore!!!!

Andrea - How weird to have a bitter taste in your mouth. I sure hope that goes away quick. I love to eat so that would make me insane.

Chris - I'll work on making a to-do list and seeif that helps. My neighbor said she'd come over and help me stay on task. She has her final court thing for her grandkids this Friday so after that she'll come over and keep me company while i get busy. I'm glad your mom gives you mommy time when you need it. That rocks.

Hey everybody! The bitter taste is not good. It's not here for all things, but it definitely makes eating less fun. I'm also absolutely exhausted today, and, uh.. constipated. But I'm cheerful with the symptoms, thinking that they must be a good thing! Symptoms mean the hormones are still going, which means things are happening. Last time, I started "Feeling better" at around this time, I guess, and that may have been when things started to go wrong. I wish I weren't so paranoid, but I can't help it.

Chris- reading the word "tacos" made me want tacos, so I made some and they were bitter. LAME! But the girls will enjoy them for dinner. Tacos are always a hit.
Re: coffee. I use 6 heaping tbsps to make a pot of coffee. I've been using ONE caffeinated, the rest decaf. So it has a tiny little bit of caffeine in it just to keep me going. THe docs say I can have the equivalent of one big cup of coffee a day, and our pot makes theoretically 6, but really more like 3 1/2. So I figure if I make it like I do I can still drink a pot of coffee a day. My concoction has worked to keep away the headaches, and I've found that an actual caffeinated beverage makes me jumpy anyway.

Linda W- I can't even imagine having water that isn't attached to everybody else's water. I'm such a wuss that service outages of any kind make me feel kind of panicky. LOL glad Sharon's is back!

Trudy- Eeek, a rash! That would drive me bananas. Of course now that I say that, I'll get one. One thing I usually have to look forward to is some kind of new mark on my face. I got smallish melasma with Atha, a little bit more with Gen (but most of that went away, thank goodness), and last summer I got little spider veins along my nose and chin, which are still there and which I hate because I feel like they make me look like an alcoholic with cirrhosis. Oh well, I'll live. LOL And it's not a bump yet, so much as a tiny blueberry, but growing!!

Chrissy- Hi! Nice to meet you! Your story makes me think of a kid's book. "Clara's Walkabout" I do hope you find her! Poor little fella!

Clara-When are you moving? It's just getting hot here. The good news is, there's a coast two hours away where it's always nice and cool. I don't like being landlocked, I don't know why.

evening all posting before the storm - again- Andrea with both my pregnancies I had different tastes- not necessarily in my mouth -but did have to give up coffee 2nd time around - poor baby grew inside on mountian dew and m & M's oh well. he is 21 now and it did not seem to affect him, but when he does have soda- it's a dew!
