The biggest reason why I love doing the Daily Ooos: It reminds me what I did the day before and what I am supposed to be doing today.
JK! You guys are the biggest reason. What I did/am doing is the second biggest. *g* This week is wonky.
Yesterday was long and weird and good. I think... *shrugs* I don't even know anymore
Food shopping was fine, cleaning was fine -- no dropped weapons. Scott called and asked if he could come over for dinner and a game. Duh. of course! Caitlyn and Tom got him a game for his birthday- Loud Librarians- and we played that after dinner. It took us a while to figure out how to play it correctly. We were halfway through the rounds when we realized something wasn't quite right and reread the instructions. The second part of the game was easier. LOL You break into 2 teams and take turns shouting out words on a topic that begins with certain letters for 60 seconds. You move a "chain" around the board and whoever gets further after the two rounds wins. Points for each win until you hit 12 points.
Some of the topics that should have been easy were hard and vice versa. Gary, Scott, and I had "Things that Are Red" and blanked. Caitlyn and Tom had a category of "Words that end in -ght" and lapped the board twice.
I love family game nights ♥
I also talked to my brother and mom throughout the day. My dad got home from the surgery before dinnertime and he didn't need a catheter which was the best news I think he could have gotten. He was dreading that possibility. The Dr had it on the pre-op list that he would need one for a few days and that was incredibly anxiety-provoking for him and my mom. The doctor said the surgery went well, he got a dose of chemo, and he goes back in 2 weeks for a recheck. Please let that be the end of this.
I am leading the Stream Study again at work with the new intern. At least this time I feel more prepared. The weather is perfect and I would love to take the groups to the upper stream. The hike there always makes it more fun for them. I already have a post-it taped to my cell phone to have a general idea of the times each rotation starts and stops. I can't see any of the other groups at that site so it will be all on me to make sure that we switch groups at the right time. I got this. (I do, right??)
Caitlyn left for work at 4 am - she is working at the graduation ceremony for the college. Her 2 coworkers/friends have to wear their regalia since they will be on the grad floor. She is incredibly happy that she didn't have to do that. She was required to wear all black which--if you know her- is her everyday wear
On to personals!
Hugs!
